Chase 2.0
This was gonna be more complicated than they thought.
Miles was swarmed with questions from Miguel and Peter B specifically , all of course concerned with his well-being and asking about his disappearance. Miles took one look at them with a dead face and walked off as if they didn’t even exist, specifically giving Peter a dirty look as he left. Before Miguel could stop and chastise Miles for rudely walking away like that he felt Gwens hand on his arm with a certain look that got him to back down,
Miguel crossed his arms “what in the hell has gotten into him??” He asked looking mostly to Gwen for answers, he was still on pretty tense terms with Hobie given how the guy never listened.
“a symbiote, that's what.” Hobie actually spoke, sounding irritated
the differing levels of terror in the older spiders faces was almost impressive, actually the surprising thing was that Peter looked more horrified, he had to take a moment, opening his mouth to say something only stammering as he looked over to miles, who had just been inspecting things, wandering about
“I- .. are you sure it was a symbiote?” Peter asked, putting his hands on his hips , he knew the signs , he’s experienced it for christ’s sake, but maybe, maybe Miles was just having a bad day?
“Well for one we saw ‘im shift in front of our eyes, two, you saw how he acted, he ain’t all there.” Hobie reasoned
“He.. didn’t even realize he was attacking people, i don’t know if that thing is piloting him or-or if its pretending” Gwen added trying to keep her cool
Peter nodded, he glanced back over his shoulder, then he huddled himself, Miguel, Hobie and Gwen over so they could speak in more hushed tones, sometimes it was days like these Parker was real glad he didn’t bring Mayday along
The two older Spidermen shared a glance, both of them trying to come up with a plan or anything, the two had their fair share of encountering Venom- or Carnage, it depended. Peter arguably had a more first-hand experience since he actually had a brief phase when he used the symbiote, unpleasant memories given that's around the time he broke his own ‘no kill rule’, but there was no time dwelling on those, this was about Miles.
“Ok. I got something. Hobart-“
“Just call me hobie, big man, comes out smoother”
Miguel grumbled at that interruption, “.. hobie. Will use his guitar to scare the symbiote off, once it's off of miles we’ll contain it. Easy. And simple.” He explained
That absolutely bit them in the ass though for not moving somewhere more private.
the ones that had it felt their spider senses going off and they immediately looked behind them, whoop dee doo, Miles must’ve overheard them, because the kid was gone. The sound of his fleeting footsteps echoing down the hall.
The chase was on.
