pav and miles!

"Miles! What's good, man?" Before Miles could respond, his ribs were squished from behind in what he could only describe as the best kind of hug. A surprise hug was great, especially from Pav, but this close to the ledge of the building made Miles heart jump- he didn't mention it to him, though, he was too wrapped up in the warmth and security of the hug.

Pav pulled away first.

"Hey, Pav. How you feeling? You seemed pretty shaken up back there." Miles asks.

"Well, definitely a lot better knowing you're ok. I was- I was really worried about you, Miles. I mean we all were, but, I just; I couldn't stop thinking the worst was happening and then I didn't know how to react when I saw you get hit and it all happens so fast."

"Easy, Pav. Im losing you. Slow down a little." Miles took a seat at the edge of the building, taking off his mask. Pav followed closely, and soon enough, they were sitting side by side, admiring the skyline. "I missed you too, Pav."

Pav was slightly taken aback by the seriousness in Miles tone. Since they had first meet, Miles outgoing and playful personality is what drew Pav to him. His serious tone was usually only reserved for something important, and for a brief moment, Pav let himself imagine something with Miles. They say in silence for the next few moments, letting them pass by for just a moment.

Soon, they would need to head back to HQ.

Miles wasn't ready to go. And he had a feeling Pav wasn't either.

Pav moved his hand closer to Miles.

He didn't realize how close it was, and soon, by instinct, Miles pulled away.

Miles didn't purposefully pull his hand away; it was a quick reaction to a sudden shock. He had never thought of Pav that way, but with just one touch, every moment he had ever questioned that feeling of butterflies in their stomach came flooded back to them, and all at once, he realized whatever feelings he had for Pav may have been stronger than he thought.

Before Pav could put his hand down, Miles had grabbed it an intertwined it with his own.

He gave it a reassuring squeeze and let his watch ring.

"Just five more minutes." Pav asks.

Miles and Pav exchange smiles.

Neither of them notice the other blushing.
