Some Mistakes Can Be Made, But That's Okay... Right?
Chuuya didn't make a good start to life, but he didn't want to dwell on it. Whenever he was asked how it was to live with a rich, but a control freak father who literally made his and his mother's life a hell, he wouldn't answer this question. You can think your past over and over and stay stuck in it for a long time. Chuuya couldn't help, but wonder how things would be if his father was a better man. One mistake could take away all your happiness. They were finally free. They had finally gotten rid of his abusive, control freak, neurotic father.
Until he was 12, Chuuya lived with his abusive father and workhacolic mother. He was raised by his babysitters all his life. His father was rich businessman and his mother was just a nurse in the local hospital. On the outside, his father looked like he was a real gentleman who treated his wife and son like precious gems, but he had a secret which no one didn't know. He had drinking problems. Kouyou was a beautiful woman who helped everyone who needed. She met with her husband when he came to the hospital because of some health problems and then he would visit her often even if he didn't have any health issues. As they spend time they fell in love with each other and eventually got married.
Everything was fine until Chuuya was born. His father began showing his true colors. Every night he would come home at a very late hour and hit Kouyou. Even though he never hit her in front of Chuuya, Chuuya would see some bruises on Kouyou's arms which she tried to hide from him or lied about. Despite being in a really young age, Chuuya knew though... Kouyou would take late night shifts very often, but Chuuya didn't really blame her. If he was her, he would stay away from that "home" as much as possible. His father never seemed disturbed because of his wife's absence though. He would bring all of his affairs to home without caring the fact that Chuuya was at home or the fact that he might have told Kouyou. The more confusing thing for Chuuya, he once saw his father was texting with a man whose contact was "The Man With Soles Of Wind". Chuuya rolled his eyes knowing that his father was a real weirdo. What was even stranger were the messages he sent to his father. Chuuya knew that he should have respected the privacy, even though his father didn't deserve any kind of respect, because his mother raised him as a kind person. However, curiousity got over Chuuya and he read the messages which Paul never replied.
"Come back, come back now, my darling, come back. I promise to be good and kind now. My cold behavior towards you was a stubborn joke; but now I regret it so much."
"Come back. Show some courage, my darling."
"Nothing is lost yet; what you will do is only one return trip..."
"I'm begging you... It also will be more for your own good. Come back, you will find all your stuff in place."
"I hope you now understand that there was no serious reason in our quarrel. What a terrible feeling it was..."
"Okay, but why didn't you come when I signaled you to abandon the ship? Did we live together for two years to get to this point?"
"Well, what are you going to do now? If you don't want to come here, shall I come to where you are?"
"Yes, I'm the wrong one. You won't forget me, will you? No, you can't forget me!"
"I always carry you in my heart. Don't leave me unanswered: Can't we live together anymore?"
"I will be loyal to you all my life. Answer me now. I will stay here until Monday evening at most."
"I left your books and manuscripts in your room. If I don't see you again, I will be far from here."
Chuuya couldn't help but laughed.
Did it really make sense to tell someone who was unfaithful that he would be loyal to him forever?
What if you were the cause of that infidelity?
On the other hand, Chuuya understood why Paul was in love with this man. This man could capture any heart he wanted with his mellifluence.
When Chuuya turned 12, Kouyou finally have had enough and divorced with Paul. Unfortunately or fortunately, Chuuya never saw Paul again. After the divorce, Kouyou spent more time with Chuuya. Chuuya felt their mother and son bonding for the first time after years. He also had friends in school. Some people in the school mocked him for not having a father, but Chuuya didn't care about them. He had an amazing mother who adored him and that was all that matter. They had each other and they didn't need anyone else.
When Chuuya was 15, he had noticed some changes on his mother. She never cared about how she looked before, but now she was doing her hair, she was doing her make up meticulously, she was using really beautiful perfumes, she was even painting her nails. Sometimes, Chuuya would find some expensive gifts like a coffee machine of an expensive brand. Kouyou loved coffee, but Chuuya knew that his mother would never be able to pay for it when he thought that his father didn't give them alimony. So he was sure that his mother had a new affair. Chuuya didn't ask though. He waited until his mother told him herself.
One day Kouyou came home excited. "Chuuya, can we talk a little?"
"Sure, mom." Chuuya said. Kouyou seemed really nervous. "You know, you can talk with me about anything." He said trying to comfort her.
Kouyou took a deep breath and showed the beautiful ring. "I had been seeing someone for a while..." She started. "I'm sorry for not telling you..." She ran her fingers through her hair. "Yesterday she proposed to me." Kouyou said with a blush. "I didn't want to say yes before asking you."
Chuuya knew the hardship his mother had during her first marriage, so he wanted her to be happy. That's why he was going to allow this marriage. He hugged Kouyou. "You deserve to be happy and I give my blessings."
Kouyou smiled. She always knew that she had a special son. "Thank you, my dear."
