Everything seemed to be going perfect in our lives. Jean and Nadya continued talking with their biological mother, who had gone back to Asturias. Many things have changed here, now Nadya had Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, and she couldn't be happier, also because of what Tony told me they want to adopt her, the other day she came to talk to me to ask if I would let him do it

- Tony, what are you doing here? - I asked him when I saw him enter the kitchen where he was making breakfast
- I came to ask you something - I had never seen Tony Stark himself so nervous

- Pepper and I had been thinking about having another child, and we wanted to give a family to someone who doesn't have one. We started looking, but realized that this is not exactly what we were looking for. During these days we have realized that we already know this person and we want him to officially be part of our family. What I mean is that we want to adopt Nadya, but I don't want to do it if you don't agree. If you agree, then we'll talk to Nadya, but only if you agree. It seemed incredible to me, I knew that Tony considered Nadya as his daughter, but I never thought it would go so far. I thought it was very nice that he decided to ask me before, but he didn't know what to say. She also knew that Nadya saw Tony as a father, you could see it in the way he behaved around her.

A few days later, they talked to Nadya and although she wasn't sure at first, she finally agreed. On the other hand, Tony and Pepper had moved to a house near the Bartons, so Nadya could be with her girlfriend. Jean and Kitty had returned to the X-Men mansion, although from time to time they came with the rest of their team, which made Lila a little jealous, since Kitty spent a lot of time with Nadya, and of course my sister doesn't see it, and she calls herself a spy.
Today I had a mission with Kate. Normally my missions are with Nadya, but she was resting from her last mission, so Kate is coming.

- Let's go - I said leaving towards the quinjet that was waiting for us.
A few hours later, we were fighting some men who were part of an organization against the Avengers. Kate was up on top of a tower shooting arrows, while I was on the ground fighting hand to hand. Everything was going well, we had knocked everyone unconscious, until I saw a man, he looked too much like one who used to work for the red room, I couldn't remember his name.

- Yel, are you okay? Who is that man? - I heard Kate's voice in my ear, but I was frozen, I couldn't answer her
- How is your little sister? Is it still the same bitch as before? - the man spoke to me again
- Igor - was the only thing I could get out of my mouth
- That's right, that's my name, bitch, how I would like to tie you to that bed again like before, but I don't have time for that, I have to kill you - he replied before taking a pistol out of his pocket and shooting me twice in the abdomen. I could have easily taken the gun from him, but my body wouldn't move

Igor went to escape, but an arrow was shot by someone behind him, Kate always to the rescue, the man tried to escape again, even having an arrow stuck in his shoulder, before he could do anything, Kate shot two arrows again more, one hit his other shoulder and the other in the abdomen. Igor fell to the ground unable to move, making sure he was dead, Kate grabbed my gun and shot him in the head. It was the first time she had killed someone.
- Kate - I called her as I fell to my knees
- I'm here, I'm here, lean on the wall - she said picking me up and supporting me - don't worry, you'll be fine - she whispered. She was scared, I could see it in her eyes - That man is not going to come near you again, I have assured myself, he is going to go to hell and he will never see you again -
- It's the first time you've killed someone - I muttered.
- And I do not regret it, if someone makes you feel like that man, I will move heaven and earth so that person does not come close to you again - she told me, which made me smile
I must say that these last few months Kate and I have become very close, we spent a lot of time together and I felt very comfortable with her. I think I've even started to like it.
- I have already called Sam to come for us. When you get well we can watch all those scary movies you love so much, okay? But for that you must stay awake - she informed me and I laughed, while I opened my eyes again. I didn't remember that bullets to the abdomen hurt so much.
Kate was talking to me to keep me awake until Sam and Nadya arrived
- Nadya, what are you doing here? You should be resting - I whispered when she was next to me
- And you should be more careful, what has distracted you? - she asked me as she pushed my hair away from my face.
- Igor - I said before losing consciousness completely
When I woke up again, I was lying in a hospital bed. My vision was still a bit blurry, but when I turned my head I could clearly make out the figures of Nadya and Kate sitting in a chair next to me. Nadya had her head resting on Kate's shoulder, and Kate rested her head on it.
I decided to let them sleep, because from the clothes I could see they were wearing, I knew that they hadn't moved from that chair since the mission, although I also didn't know how long it had been since said mission.
I shifted a bit to get comfortable on the bed, which woke Nadya up.
- Kate? - she whispered, which made the brunette also wake up
- Yelena! - she exclaimed - Are you okay? Does something hurt? - she asked me very nervous as she approached me
- No, I'm fine, I just want water and know how long it's been since the mission -
- Two days, take your water - my sister answered me
- Two days? - she asked as Kate helped me sit on the bed with my back supported by some cushions - And you've been sitting there all this time? -
- There was one of us at a time, we didn't want you to be alone when you woke up - Kate replied
- Have you slept? - I asked, already knowing the answer.
- You know perfectly well that I can endure several days and weeks without sleep - Nadya replied.
- It doesn't mean you have to do it - I remarked - What about you, Kate? -
- A moment ago I was sleeping - she answered me
- In a chair, not in bed - I told her
- I'm going to go find Bruce so he can see you, Yel - my sister told me, although I knew she was only doing it to escape the conversation
- You scared me so much - Kate muttered.
- It wasn't my intention, it's just that I was frozen, I hadn't seen him for so long, I wasn't ready for that - I told her and she took my hand
- He's already dead, I don't know what he did to you, but I don't need to know either, you can tell me if you want, knowing that he hurt you is more than enough to hate him - she told me
I lifted my gaze to her eyes and grabbed her arm to lower her to my level, she had a confused look, even when our lips met. After a few seconds, surprised, she kissed me back. It was my first kiss, at least the first kiss that I enjoyed and chose to have.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see how Nadya came with Bruce down the hall, although when she saw us, she stopped, smiled at me and took Bruce to take him away and thus leave us alone time.
- That has been incredible - Kate whispered close to my lips as we separated a little.
- Yes - I also affirmed whispering
- What does this mean for our relationship? - she asked
- What do you want it to mean? -
- I don't like when you answer with questions - she told me, making me laugh - Do you want to be my girlfriend, Yelena Belova? -
- Of course I want to be your girlfriend, Kate Bishop - I said
- You know, When you called me on the mission, it was the first time you called me Kate and not Kate Bishop - she told me
- Don't get used to it - I said smiling - Now go to your room, and get some sleep, and by the way call Nadya to come - I ordered her
- Yes, my captain - she said, posing as a soldier while I laughed. Just before leaving, she sends me a smile and a kiss.
