The End
My Fucking Head. There was a strange, weird ringing in my ears and my muscles ached in places that I didn't even know I had muscles. I did just beat the shit out of Hela, Skurge and my father. It has been an eventful day. Although, I don't think it's the same day anymore. or the same week. The last thing I remember was passing out in the market square. And I think Loki caught me. There's no way he would let me ever hit the ground.
A big, beautiful black wolf had his snout nuzzled into my ribs while a certain Prince Of Asgard held me in his arms. Both are snoring like babies. I am surprised Fandral or Thor let Loki sleep in the same room as me. But to be honest, I don't think that would have stopped Loki even if you chained him to a wall.
I tried to move a little bit, careful not to wake either Fenrir or Loki. I couldn't do that to him. Loki had to deal with seeing Hela again. And Volstagg, too, for that matter. That certainly wasn't pretty. But at least I got to meet the man. I hope wherever he is, mama is with him and more importantly... I hope she is kicking his ass.
Plus, I didn't want to wake Loki as he deserved the rest. We all did. We deserve a fucking day off.
"Mmm," Loki stirred. crap. I thought I was gentle, "Aurora?"
"Hi," I laid my head on his shoulder, "Don't get up on my account."
"On your account?" he grumbled, still half asleep. He then opened one eye lazily, a half smirk on his face, "I'd only get up for you," Loki winked at me. I blushed "How are you feeling?"
"Tired," I cuddled into him. Loki brushed my hair out of my face.
"Why don't you get some more rest?"
"I have slept for a while. I think it is time to get up," I sighed, still not moving "We seem to be short three. Where are Fandral, Thor and Sif?" We then heard a knock at the door. Fenrir growled but didn't move.
"Easy, boy," Loki ruffled his ears.
"Enter," I called out. Thor came in with Sif.
"Good morning, Blue," Fandral grinned.
"So?" Thor worried, he let go of Sif and walked to the end of the bed "Are you ok, Rory?"
"Just a little stiff. And tired. I could sleep a hundred years and still be tired." I yawned.
"But," Thor wondered, "Are you sure you'll be ok?"
"I will be," I promised. I knew why he was asking. he was worried about my mental state after killing my father "I'll be fine. But I'm starving."
"We are not going on a hunt," Fandral shook his head. Thor agreed.
"Okay... I don't know how I feel about you two agreeing with each other." Sif wrapped herself around Thor's arm. Loki and I agreed with her.
"You didn't agree this much when we were with Hogun and Volstagg. Only when it came to annoying father," Loki sighed.
"So, Aurora... now that this nightmare is over, does this mean this is where we part ways?" Sif looked at the floor. I went to answer but Thor cut me off.
"No," Thor answered for me, "She's staying with us."
"Brother... Don't you think that should be her choice?" Loki stepped in. I love the fact that he is trying to defend my honour. Bit dumb to assume that he thinks it needs defending.
"Loki... it's fine. Thor and I have already discussed this," I hushed him. Thor smiled like a child that just got their own way "Besides, I couldn't leave you guys. Sif's going to need all the help she can get."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Thor wondered. I see Sif hasn't told him yet.
"All yours, Sif. Go on," I whispered. She laced her fingers between Thor's as she glared at me.
"I have some news for you, Thor."
"Is everything alright?" Thor's voice softened. Sif took in a deep breath.
"Well... urm..." She moved his hand to her stomach, her voice breaking a little "This is not easy," It took Thor a second, but his brain cells fell into place. And all of the blood that was on his face went bye-bye.
"Are you...?" He pointed to Sif's stomach. a few tears escaped Sif's eyes. But she couldn't wipe the smile off her face if she wanted to. Thor struggled to get his words out, "You're pregnant?"
"Yes," Sif's voice went up an octave. Thor sat down at the edge of my bed. Good. I was worried if he didn't, he may have passed out. Sif joined him, "Are you ok?"
"Yeah," he nodded quickly, "Of course... How... long have you been pregnant?"
"I would say a couple of months, at least," Loki figured.
"How the hell would you know?" Thor snapped. Understandable. He did just have a big piece of life-changing news dropped on him.
"Loki and I can hear the heartbeat due to our Frost Giant senses," I explained. Thor blinked slowly and then turned his attention back to Sif.
"Sif..." Thor looked over at her, "How long have you known?"
"Maybe a week," Sif told him.
"And I'm just now finding out?" Thor gasped, "Were you going to wait until your waters broke or after you gave birth before you told me?"
"Thor..." Sif put his face between her hands, "I'm just as scared as you are about this. But that doesn't give you the right to start yelling at me for this. It takes two to make one of these,"
"Who else knew?" Thor could hardly speak. Makes a change.
"I did," I threw myself to the wolves, "I figured it out in our fight with Skurge,"
"So let me understand this, You're pregnant and you were fighting in Asgard," Thor stood up. His eyes are all bright and lightening looking. I think Thor may be full-blown pissed by this point, "what if something would've happened to you?"
"But it didn't," she pointed out. Thor went to open his mouth but no words came out. Sif smiled and placed Thor's hand on her stomach "Thor... We're fine. I promise." Sif insisted. Loki and I knew Thor wanted to scream at the top of his lungs. it was all over his face. He needed to punch something before he exploded. But in the same breath, his shoulders fell and his eyes glanced down at Sif's belly,
"We... made a... We made a baby..."
"Yes, we did," Sif awed, holding Thor's hand around her belly button.
"I need a minute" Thor gave Sif a little kiss and left the room. Loki called after him but I'm guessing Thor only had one thought in his head.
I am not going to lie, The silence was incredibly unsettling. God knows what's going through Thor's head right now. She fell back onto the bed.
"That could have gone worse. But it needed to be done,"
"I'll go check on him," I pushed myself out of bed. At least I tried to until Fandral held me back.
"Are you sure? do you have the mana and strength to hold him back?"
"I will be fine," I assured him, finally getting out of bed, "You don't need to worry about me, Fandral. I'll manage. I always do. Besides, it's Thor. I've handed his ass to him before."
"I know. I was so proud,"
"Fandral," Sif shot him a glare.
"Sorry... ish," Fandral shrugged.
"Aurora..." Loki took my hand, "Please... Be careful. You are still healing,"
"Loki, I will be fine. You forget," I kissed his cheek, "I'm a Hybrid. I can take a punch," I left Fandral and Loki to keep an eye on Sif while I went to the kitchen. I took a couple of good drinks from the bottle and left it in the kitchen. Besides, I think I'm going to need something stronger for what I need to do.
Now, if I know Thor the way I think I do, I am pretty sure he is either in the clearing or my family library. It wouldn't surprise me anyway. I checked the clearing and nope... he wasn't there.
"To the library," As I began my descent, I already popped the cork on the wine.
Sure enough, in a secluded corner of the library, Thor sat on the floor by himself, under my father's picture. He seemed to be doing his best to wrap his head around what just happened. I sat next to him, hoping I didn't scare the shit out of him.
"I thought I'd find you down here." I offered him my bottle "Care for a drink?" Thor picked up a bottle from the other side of him with a pretty label on it.
"Asgardian liquor," he told me, "I grabbed it when we were on our way home,"
"Did you sort out a new ruler for Asgard," I sipped my bottle. Thor nodded.
"Valkeryire is going to deal with it. Loki and I don't want to stay in Asgard. We like it here on Midgard," Thor admitted. I felt a little relief. Loki wasn't leaving me "Can I ask you something? what is this thing with you and Loki?"
"Come on, you know me," I scoffed "I don't do this... romance thing..." I kept stuttering. Thor placed a hand on my knee.
"Aurora..." Thor spoke softly.
"...Yes," I couldn't look Thor in the eye.
"What is this thing between you and Loki?"
"Alright..." I took a deep breath "I'm crazy about him."
"Well, does he like you?" Thor questioned. I thought about the way Loki guarded me against Hela. The way he looks at me.
"Sometimes I think he does," I sighed, Thinking about me and Loki being together "But I can't do anything about it,"
"Why not?" Thor gulped his drink.
"It's complicated," I stared at the floor, swirling my bottle.
"Fandral is not complicated," Thor crossed his arms "Aurora, all that matters is, do you like Loki?"
"I do, so much." I couldn't hide the smile even if I tried.
"You know what? I will hate it but you have to go for it. How often does this happen to you? You owe it to yourself." Thor nudged my shoulder "You deserve to be happy,"
"But I know you're not okay with it, so..." To keep my family happy, I would give up my happiness in a heartbeat. Even if that means not being with the one that I love.
"No, but I want to be. I have seen the way you two look at each other, It's like you have spent lifetimes together," Thor sighed, leaning his head back "When it comes to Loki, I know that he can be..."
"An idiot?" I sipped my drink.
"Yeah, that's one way of putting it. Look, I just want you happy and if that means being with my brother then go for it. Fandral and I will get over it," Thor clinked his drink against mine "Though, he will be warned that he breaks your heart, Fandral and I will break his kneecaps,"
"Duley noted," I nodded. But then Thor got quiet "Anyway, enough trying to fix my brain cell out, let's fix yours" I poked Thor in the head "Sif's pregnant. You're going to be a daddy,"
"I've never done babies before," Thor confessed, "Like. Ever. I used to run away from my mother when Loki was a child. And I never thought I'd have babies of my own. I'm afraid that I will fuck it up,"
"Oh, shut up," I wasn't going to play nice with him. This man needed tough love "You are not your father and you seem to be doing a great job with me,"
"You're different," Thor argued, "You were my best friend's baby, not mine. And you came to me as a fully grown adult."
"But you adjusted. Look at us now. Hell, we can sit and have a drink with each other and not be worried the other one's going to give in to basic instinct. We can call that a win," I rested my head on his shoulder, "You will be fine. It's not like you will be raising the baby on your own."
"You think?" Thor looked down at me, throwing an arm around my shoulders.
"Call it intuition. But you do have us. Fandral, me... Maybe Loki,"
"Thank you, Aurora," he pulled me closer "Thank you for finding me," he held me a little tighter, "It's a shame that I didn't get to see Layla again, but at least I have you."
"Can't believe you're going to be a dad! What if it's twins?" I smiled.
"Do not scare me like that," Thor warned. He had this mischievous look in his eye "Ever think about popping out your own?"
"Good luck with that," I settled him, "If things go the way I hope... There is only one man I will be procreating with. And that is if I am lucky to have a child with him,"
"Oh come on... a little you running around after my sprog. Could be fun," Thor smiled.
"It's bad enough that any kid that I have would have is going to Calland blood in them. And my Hybrid blood. Do you want to throw your brother's blood in that mix? You really want to bring about the antichrist, don't you?" I gulped my drink.
"Hell yeah,"
"God helps your kid and my future kids," I rolled my eyes "I thought your brother was meant to be the mischievous one?"
"I'm his older brother... Where do you think he learned it from?" Thor grinned.
"Our kids are fucked,"
Five years had passed since the battle of Asgard and Thor and I were fixing holes in my house.
"You know, Rory," Thor scraped up the excess grout, "I'm genuinely curious. How is Loki still alive?"
"I'm not that rough on him..." I rolled my eyes. It's the other way around.
"I'm surprised he can still walk." Thor's looked at me with shock and confusion.
"Thor... come on..." I giggled, "It's been 5 years since we started. I just can't say no to that man. Plus, from what you have told me... my family had a high sex drive, Can you blame me?" I grinned.
"You worry me, Aurora," Thor shook his head in great disappointment "and I wish I didn't ask."
"I have that effect on people." I shrugged as I put some filler on the wall.
"Try to make this the last one for a while, Please. Fixing the wall is the last thing I want to do," Thor begged. Thor wiped the sweat from his forehead "You will need to paint this tomorrow,"
"Hard to believe your daughter is 4 today,"
"I know... I feel old," Thor grumbled.
"You are old," I joked.
"Going to ignore that comment as we should probably get to my house," he decided, tossing his normal hammer aside, "Loki is making her cake and it should be ready soon,"
"It's going to be filled with sugar... you know that right?"
"I do. Loki warned me. Something about uncle rights or something,"
"Race you back to the house?" I loved poking at Thor's competitive spirit. He nodded and grinned. I raised my hand and got ready to click my fingers.
"Don't you dare-" I didn't hear him speak as I clicked my fingers.
I teleported to Thor's house without even thinking about it. And I could hear him next door bitching at me.
"What have I missed?" I asked as I walked into the front room, Making Fandral jump.
"Loki won't let me in my own kitchen." Fandral filled me in, pouting from the sofa.
"We both know why too. You can be a bit of a perfectionist," I dropped on the sofa next to Fandral "Relax, Fandral. It's not the end of the world."
"But it's my kitchen, blue," Fandral pouted.
"You are such a baby," I teased him. Sif waddled her way into the front room. Her bump looked beautiful for 7 months and with little Isabella on her hip. Thor finally made it shortly after me.
"And why are you late?" Sif tilted her head.
"Cheater," Thor panted. Sif looked at me. I held my hands up.
"I was fixing the wall," I pointed to my house.
"And why is he red in the face?"
"He wanted to race," I smirked.
"Thor you know better and why was you fixing a wall?" I rubbed the back of my neck and smiled, avoiding all gazes "Again?" Sif gasped. I simply nodded "Aurora, let the man rest! He's going to end up pulling something."
"I was hardly complaining," Loki spoke as he entered the room with a princess cake.
"Uncle Lolly!" Isabella called out as Loki placed the cake on the coffee table.
"Happy birthday, Bellaboo," Loki kissed the top of her head and let her tear her cake to pieces. He then walked over to me and pulled me up onto my feet "Hello, my love,"
"Hello, darling. I missed you." I spun around so Loki was standing behind me. I looked over at the table. Isabella was already covered in frosting. As was her father, but mostly because of her. And her poor mother was trying to contain the situation while Fandral watched with such joy.
"Do you think we should tell them?" Loki asked as he wrapped his arms around me. One of his hands rested on the side of my stomach.
"Maybe later." I smiled as Thor shoved cake into Fandral's face "Maybe we tell them about the baby when they are drunk,"
"You know they will find out eventually," Loki kissed the top of my head, "This is not exactly something we will be able to hide for much longer. You only have three months left"
"I know," I blushed a bit, looking over at my family. I felt my baby ice cube kick a few times. I can't wait to bring them into the world "Though I don't think they will appreciate the fact that you took me against the wall so hard that we dented it while pregnant"
"You do have to love the Frost Giant libido" Loki smirked as he spun me around and pulled me in for a deep, loving kiss, "I love you, Aurora,"
"I love you, too." I smiled as Isabella ran around the room, high on sugar. Thor and Sif glared at Loki. Loki whistled as he looked away.
"How much sugar did you put in that cake?" I asked. Fenrir started sniffing the cake and Isabella put the icing on his nose.
"Maybe an extra cup... or three," Loki leaned his head on mine "Maybe now isn't the best time to also tell them that we ran off to Vegas to get married,"
"Yeah... We should save that for another day,"
"I best get some protection for my kneecaps," Loki smiled as he wrapped his arms around me. Then Isabella came running over, asking for Loki to do this magic. Unable to deny her, Loki jumped off the sofa and picked Isabella up. He was showing her his fireworks trick. Which she loved. I looked up to the sky. I knew my mother was watching us. As was my father and his friends.
"I did it, Mum. I got my happy ending,"
