You're Safe

I know I was comfortably situated in Loki's lap, yet somehow, I ended up being the big spoon. His head lay in my chest as the rest of him shook uncontrollably. He could hardly speak, but he could get one word out.
"How?"
"How what?" I asked, cradling him gently, offering what little comfort I could.
"How are you here?" Loki's voice broke, "Why would you ever want to come back to this place? Wherever you've been, it had to be safer than here. Coming back is a suicide mission,"
"I made a promise, Loki," I reminded him as I stroked his matted hair, "I would not have been able to live with myself if I had broken that promise," Loki hugged me tighter.
"I'm glad to see you again," Loki mumbled into my hair.
"I'm happy to see you, too," I kissed the top of his head.
"You were a raven when you came in here." Loki wondered.
"Well, since I left, I have been rather busy," I smiled.
"I can tell. Your power level has risen a fair bit," he awed. He then looked me dead in the eye. I think there was a small glimmer of hope left in his eyes "Have you really come to rescue me?"
"No, I'm here to grovel at Hela's feet and beg for forgiveness. I am also going to beg her to turn me into a full Asgardian and that I will help her destroy the 9 realms." I spoke with a smirk. Loki looked at me horrified. I rolled my eyes "Oh, Loki. You silly God. Of course, I'm here to get you out,"
"Do not scare me like that again," Loki chuckled. He then sat up. His face looks drawn and tired.
"You've definitely seen better days. At least you are not naked anymore" Can't say that I was a little disappointed at this. But the man had holy trousers and a top that was way too big for him "How did you swindle this?"
"Let's just say that you're not the only one who has been busy," Loki confessed with shame in those beautiful eyes of his, "Please understand that I had no choice."
"You've been working for Hela," I assumed a sudden ache in my chest.
"I had to. It was that or death and I'm afraid to say I bent the knee. he wanted an army and her power could only do so much. She made me enchant the men of Asgard to join her army,"
"How big is her army, Loki?" I said, suddenly all serious.
"A few thousand," he reported, that is a lot "Aurora, you should know that I did not want to help her. But I also didn't want to die. Every sunrise, I have to brainwash whatever man or woman she brings to me or we both die,"
"Loki..." I held the man as close as I could. I looked out the window. We had an hour or so until sunrise. If I am going to break Loki out. It had to be soon.
"I can't use my powers after either. She injects this liquid that weakens them. I just have enough power to keep myself alive," Loki cried "I am the ant to their boot," I ran my fingers down his back.
"Then it is time for the ant to regain his strength. Would you like to leave? Does that sound good to you?"
"Aurora... That sounds fantastic," Loki agreed, "But how are you going to do that? You can't exactly fly both of us out of here." I wrapped my arms around him.
"But I can do one even better," I whispered into his ears "I need you to hold me."
"Well, I would never turn that down but I am guessing it's not for that reason" Loki smiled.
"Just shut your eyes," I ordered. I wasn't sure how to respond to that, "And while I like to stare into them, don't open them until I tell you to." Loki closed his eyes as I asked. I then closed my own "Focus, Aurora. Clear your mind. Focus on your destination. Focus on home," I mentally thought.

I could feel the wind whirl around us. I looked around and made sure we were where we were supposed to be. The Calland house is just down the road. I then looked the other way and saw Fandral's home. So, I can teleport across realms. That's useful to know.
"Loki, open those eyes of yours," he opened his eyes again, taking in his surroundings. The gentle woods, the brick remains, the hole in the ground, the grass under our feet. His face was slightly pale. And as if on cue, Loki stumbled away and threw up violently behind a tree. I walked up behind him and held his hair back "Easy does it,"
"I am sorry. It's been so long since I teleported. I forgot the feeling," Loki wiped his mouth.
"It's okay. Plus, it's been a while since you last had fresh air in your lungs," I rubbed his back.

Once Loki was well again, I guided him back to the road. Smiling like an idiot.
"Thi... this... This is not Asgard." He stuttered, "Aurora," Loki gathered himself, taking a few steps on his own, "Where are we?" I pointed toward the house down the road.
"Do you see that house over there?"
"Urm... yes"
"That is my father's family home," I told him. Loki's jaw hung open.
"This is the Calland estate?" Loki gasped. I nodded "I have not been here since I was a boy. Why are we here?" I gently placed my hands on Loki's shoulder and spun him around.
"Because we going this way," I waved towards Fandral's house "Your brother is this way,"
"My brother... Thor... is that way?" Loki pointed in front of him.
"Are you not happy to see him again?"
"I am... It's been a long ten years but I fear he may hate me now. I did betray our father for Hela. Which I massively regret," He then looked around "Will Hela find us here?"
"You're safe here, Loki," I promised, "Your brother misses you and if I hadn't battered him this last week then he would have been the one to rescue you himself," I held Loki's hand "No one in wants you dead," I assured him, tightening my grip on his hand.
"Okay,"

Slowly, I brought Loki back to the front door. He dragged his feet the whole way. Sif will be able to help heal him. The two of us stood at the entrance.
"Hello!" I shouted as I sat Loki on a bench in the hallway.
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I heard Fandral shout. I scrunched my face up as I heard boots thud across the ceiling.
"Uh-oh," I should have seen that coming "I am about to get shouted at,"
"Why?" Loki asked.
"I wasn't meant to come to save you on my own," I picked at my lips.
"AURORA LAYLADOTTIOR!" Fandral shouted again. Yep. I'm in trouble. This time Loki's head turned to the stairs.
"Is that... Fancy pants Fandral?" Loki asked as he leaned on the wall next to him. I pinched my lips together and nodded.
"Yep. That would be Fandral and I don't he is too enthused with me right now," I bit my lip as Fandral appeared at the top of the stairs.
"I WILL NOT ASK AGAIN! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Fandral snarled as he stormed over to me.
"Hi, Fandral," I did my best to hold a steady head. I think I am more afraid of Fandral than Hela at this point. I have never seen him so angry.
"Don't you 'hi, Fandral' me!" Fandral snarled, an inch away from my face with fire in his eyes. Not one to take that welcome lightly. I pushed Fandral's face away.
"Get out of my face before I put you through that wall," I warned. Fandral then took steps back.
"I told you to stay here, Aurora! For the last three hours, I've been worried sick about you! Where the fuck did you go?!" Fandral bellowed as he started pacing.
"I was only gone three hours? Awesome," I grinned. I might have to make that trip a few more times and increase my flight speed.
"Do not avoid the question," Fandral warned.
"I went to Asgard." I crossed my arms as I looked over at a sleeping Loki "I couldn't wait a day or two. And look. I came back unharmed,"
"I. Was. Fucking. Worried!" he snapped, "Don't you dare pull shit like that again! You were out there on your own! If Hela had found you and decided to keep you alive, I have no doubt in my mind she would've forced you to turn her. You can't just run off when you feel like it, Aurora. You have people that care about you. People who will lose sleep if you don't come home. Do not do this shit again!"
"We don't need to worry about what could've happened when it didn't happen in the first place. I went to Asgard to get Loki. And I am back in one piece."
"Blue..." Fandral wrapped his arms around me "What if you had gotten caught?"
"But I didn't," I laid my head on his shoulder, "Dash, Look at me." Fandral caved and looked at me "I'm ok, You don't have to worry about me."
"Fat chance about that," Fandral hugged me tightly.

A few minutes later, Loki woke up and Thor joined us in the hallway. He pats me on the shoulder.
"Gods, I heard the screaming from the garden," Thor leaned a meaty arm on my head. I pushed him off and reminded him that I would hit him with a tree again. Thor shrugged "I didn't think you would get so pissed, Fandral."
"Thor... did you know Aurora left?" Fandral jumped down Thor's throat. Thor nodded and the pair started arguing. Loki pulled me to the side.
"Is this what you've been dealing with since you got here? I don't remember those two arguing so much," Loki crossed his arms "And he doesn't seem to notice that I am here,"
"They'll tire themselves out eventually," I figured while Fandral and Thor's petty squabbling raged on "And that is because he is ranting," I then clicked my tongue "Where's my wolf?"
"You have a wolf?"
"His name is Fluff and he always greets me," Loki gasped. I looked at him strangely. In our time together, I had never seen Loki get excited. Loki let out an ear-piercing whistle.
"Fluff! Come here, boy!"

Seemingly out of nowhere, Fluff ran down the hall and down the stairs, jumping into Loki's arms as well as flattening him. I gave Fluff's head a good scratch.
"Hey, Fenrir!" Loki sighed, snuggling the good boy in his arms, "I'm so glad you're safe."
"Why do you have Loki's dog, Fandral?" Thor wondered, giving him a strange look. Fandral shrugged.
"I thought his name was Fluff?" I scrunched my nose up.
"I changed it. I thought it would be better to hide him than let others know he was still alive. Hela hates dogs" Fandral Sighed.
"It's not that she hates them. She uses them in her army because Asgardian dogs have no limit and will keep going and going," Loki whispered, hugging his dog "I can't believe that you've kept him all these years,"
"I was hardly going to leave him on Asgard. Have you seen what Hela does to wolves?" Fandral crossed his arms. Hela has a spell that makes all the wolves bigger and monster-like. Fenrir then spotted me and licked my face off.
"Hey baby," I cooed. Loki slowly sat up, smiling softly at the wolf. Or it could have been at me.
"I remember when you got this mutt" Thor tilted his head at the wolf "We never got on,"
"That is because he is a good boy who knows who to annoy," Loki looked up at Thor "Hello, Brother," Thor picked up a stone from the ground and threw it at Loki. It bounced off his chest.
"Ow," Loki winced.
"Just checking,"

Loki and I walked into the front room and collapsed on the sofa. Thor and Fandral were going to be a while and I did not want to stand around listening to them.
"As her Godfathers, we have to protect her!" Fandral shouted.
"We need to stop wrapping her up in cotton!" Thor bellowed "How is she supposed to grow if you won't let her blow?"
"Oh, please gods... make them stop," I prayed. Loki chuckled next to me.
"You know, that blow part can be taken very wrong", Loki whispered. I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing.
"Please, do not encourage that. Fandral might take your kneecaps," I patted Loki's leg. He then shuffled a little and brought his legs up onto the sofa.

I think Thor and Fandral were arguing for a solid hour before Sif came into the room. She rubbed her eyes and yawned loudly.
"Aurora, Why are they yelling? again."
"In the last 8 hours, I learned that I could turn into a bird. So, I impulsively went to Asgard on my own to save this one," I pointed to Loki, who waved lazily "It got Fandral angry with me. And now Fandral is angry with Thor because Thor knew and didn't tell him,"
"So... Same shit, new day?" She crossed her arms and I nodded "You alright there, Loki,"
"I think so... nothing a good sleep won't fix," Loki leaned his head back "Though, a healing spell wouldn't go amiss," Sif walked behind the sofa and placed her hands on Loki's head.
"Why haven't you used your own powers? They rivalled your mothers," Sif closed her eyes.
"Hela has a liquid that can dull my powers. I was only allowed to use them for her own gain," Loki explained. We heard some movement behind us. We all looked behind us to see Fandral and Thor walking into the room. Loki shot a quick glance to the side, "Hello, Fandral. Brother,"
"Loki," Fandral greeted him, "You look like you've seen some things,"
"Oh, you have no idea," Loki shuddered at his memories from Asgard "You're lucky that you are an only child,"
"Do you think you could fix whatever is broken?" Fandral requested.
"I was about to try," Sif sighed.
"I can help," I volunteered, "I already know what's broken in him and between us, we should be able to fix it quicker." I put my hands on Loki's chest and healed him. He let out a yell as his ribs cracked.
"Ow,"
"Sorry..." I apologised. Loki mumbled that it was alright. I took his hand in mine "Squeeze when you need to... I'll heal," I whispered in his ear.

It took a while but between me and Sif, we healed Loki to the best we could. Fandral had gone and taken Fenrir out for a walk while Thor sat brooding in the corner.
"That is as much healing as I can do," Sif said as she went and sat by Thor, exhausted "Sorry it's not a full healing. It's been a while since I used this much mana,"
"Are you okay brother?" Thor asked. Loki nodded.
"Nothing a good nap won't fix," Loki stood up and faced Sif and me "Thank you, ladies, for healing me," He then bowed and nearly fell forward. Loki wasn't exactly steady on his feet yet. I caught him before he could fall flat on his face.
"I got you," I spoke as I wrapped his arm over my shoulder.
"When was the last time you slept in a bed?" Thor spoke.
"Well..." Loki winced, grabbing his side "That would have been when Father was alive,"
"How are you still alive?" I shook my head. Loki hasn't slept in a bed in ten years.
"I often ask myself that question on a regular occurrence,"
"Right. To bed with you" I took his hand and led him upstairs. Loki smirked and looked as if he was about to make some remark but kept his mouth shut.
"Put him in the room next to yours," Fandral spoke as he walked through the door.
"Will do," I nodded. Thor then wrapped Loki's other arm over his shoulder and together we helped Loki to bed.

It took a while but we got Loki to bed and took a seat next to him. Thor mumbled something and left. Loki looked worried.
"He hates me," Loki looked away.
"No, he doesn't," At least I hope he doesn't "He's probably just having to adjust to you being here again. As you said, it's been a decade,"
"He has barely looked at me or even spoken to me," Loki kept his gaze on the cover.
"I will talk to him at a later date but right now, you need to rest," I pushed Loki down, laying down next to him "Lay down,"
"I never did get the chance to say this but... Thank you, Aurora," Loki curled into me, "Thank you for rescuing me. I do not want to think about what another day in Asgard would do to me."
"You are welcome," I pulled his blanket over him, "Least we can talk now without scaring the guard,"
"It's not like Hela can hear us from here," Loki sighed. he had a little colour back on his face. His eyes shined a little brighter.
"Not that I know of," I shrugged. I laced my fingers between his. I started healing some more of his wounds "When do you think your powers will come back?"
"24 to 48 hours... Give or take," Loki sighed "Once they are back, I should be able to break the enchantment on the men of Asgard,"
"Good,"
"But you should know there is a chance that I might not be able to. My powers may not work across realms," Loki leaned his head on my shoulder.
"I could always teleport you there and teleport you out"
"And throw up behind a tree again. I'll pass," Loki declined "Besides. I don't want to go back anytime soon,"
"We may not have a choice. The others want to try and take Hela out," I put an arm behind me. Loki rolled onto his side "I just wish Mama was here. I want to show off my powers to her,"
"She was amazing your mother. She was the only one that Fandral and Thor listened to," he sighed "And I would like to thank her for having you. Because without you, I may as well be dead,"
"She would deffo take your kneecaps for even laying here next to me" I smiled. My stomach had some weird flippy feeling. Never had that before.
"Once I get my powers back, she can try" Loki stretched a little. I chuckled and gave up healing.
"That is as much as I can do. How are you feeling?"
"Nothing a good night's sleep won't be able to fix," Loki yawned. I braced myself for whatever may come next.
"Take your shirt off."
"While I am not one to turn that kind of offer down from someone as beautiful as you, why do you need me to do that," Loki smirked as we both sat up.
"I'm sure that you are all scraped up, Loki. I need to make sure you are healing right" I took a deep breath "Plus, your shirt stinks"
"Aurora... I... I will be fine," Loki shook his head. I know he doesn't want me to see. But what has he got left that I haven't seen? I placed a hand on his cheek.
"Let me take care of you," I whispered. Loki still hesitated. But slowly, he undid the buttons on his shirt.
"My wounds are not pretty, Aurora." Loki winced as he struggled to take his shirt off.
"We both know that wounds rarely are. My mother taught me it's the aftermath that holds their true beauty. They are just a reminder we can do anything. we can survive anything,"
"I guess that works," As soon as the shirt was off, I chucked it to the other side of the room. I could have easily told Loki to take off his trousers but I fear the others might lose their minds if they find Loki half-naked with me. I didn't flinch at the deep cuts. I have seen worse "I feel so ashamed of these. I make me feel weak,"
"Don't ever feel ashamed that they have scarred you. Because you still came out on the other side. These will heal soon." Loki flinched under my touch while I rubbed my hands over his scrapes, lightly massaging the knots out of his muscles "They don't need cleaning right now but they will in the morning. Unless you want me to clean them,"
"Thank you, Aurora. For everything," Loki whispered "And maybe in a little while. They need to get some air to them,"
"You're welcome," I pushed a little harder, getting a little moan out of Loki "You seem to be enjoying that?"
"Been so long since I felt the touch of a good woman," Loki groaned. He then pulled the blanket over his legs. He then blushed. Oh, I know why.
"Someone deffo enjoyed that" I smiled. Loki blushed as he refused to look at me "Oh, come on. you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Besides, I've already seen it,"
"Not my finest moment," Loki mumbled. I then chuckled. I finished working out the knots in his back "Gods, your hands are amazing," Loki moaned as he stretched.
"I was always good at working with... tight things," I licked my lips.
"You can work on me any time you want," Loki glanced at me "You know, Aurora, I would like to offer to ask you to dinner. As a thank you,"
"Maybe in a couple of days,"

Loki and I talked for ages. He told me about the many adventures he has had. And the insane amount of pranks he has had to pull in order to gain his title of God of Mischief. It was so easy talking to him. I swear there is something between us. Our eyes met for a moment, both of us contemplating the gravity of the events that had occurred earlier that day. The outcome could have been horrendously worse.
"I... urm... should..." Loki lowered his voice a little, with a hint of slurring. I had to be imagining the way he was leaning in closer. It was only when I was learning that I realized that I was imagining this. I could feel Loki's breath on his face. My free hand landed on the crook of Loki's neck. Loki's free hand gripped the bedsheet, wrinkling the fabric. we were almost close enough to touch.
"Blue?" Fandral called out.
"Balls," I whispered as we pulled apart. Loki coughed and laid back down. Five seconds later. Fandral stood in the doorway, killing the moment.
"Everything alright? Did you need help?" Fandral leaned on the door frame.
"Nope. All good." I spoke flatly. the dude basically just cockblocked me. But it made me wonder if Loki actually liked me. Or was he this way with all single people?
"Are you sure?" Fandral put his hands in his pockets. I swear, my mother would hover less.
"I have it handled, Fandral. Now bog off," I could tell Fandral didn't want to leave. It was all over his face. It was as if he didn't trust us to be alone. I'm twenty-something... wait... how old am I? I am 21 years old, I think I can be alone with a guy. Besides, now that he ruined the moment, All I was doing was taking care of the cuts on his back.
"If you need anything, I won't be too far away. My room is just down the hall," Fandral pointed.
"I'll be sure to yell," I bit the inside of my cheek, keeping myself calm. Finally, Fandral left us alone again "Annoying bastard,"

I went back to talking with Loki. His wounds were getting sore so I went and got the first aid box. I made Loki lay on his stomach.
"I am over a thousand years old. You don't need to look after me," Loki whimpered as I applied water to his back. Someone needed to take care of him.
"And yet, you're still letting me look after you" I sighed.
"I will always make an exception for you, darling" Loki sighed "So, about what just happened?" Loki licked his lips. I put the cloth down.
"What about it?" I braced myself for the possible rejection. Why did I think he would want a freak like me? "It was the heat of the moment," I nodded.
"Yeah totally. I was about to say that," Loki agreed. He had a blank look on his face.
"Absolutely. Of course. I mean... I don't mean that it wasn't a nice moment," I tucked my hair behind my ear.
"No, it was great. It was really nice," Loki sighed "But I don't think things like that should happen between us,"
"Oh?" I felt a little disappointed. I wanted more to happen.
"At least not right now. I mean, We barely know each other." Loki rolled onto his side "Do you think that we could get to know each other a little better?"
"Say what?" I stuttered. Loki had a soft smile on my face.
"I like you, Aurora. I have since I laid eyes on you back in Jotunheim," Loki placed a hand over mine.
"Loki..." I honestly didn't know what to say to this. I thought I was going to have to deal with rejection, not.. not whatever this is. I couldn't help but fear that Loki only likes me because I saved him. Loki then squeezed my hand.
"I know this out of the blue. Given everything that has happened today. Just... think it over," I was about to give my answer when I heard a knock at the door. I rolled my eyes when I looked to my left to see Thor at the door. I wonder if Fandral sent him.
"Hey guys," Thor waved. Loki mumbled something from his pillow and waved back "Rory, I was wondering if you were busy," Thor looked over at Loki, shooting him a quick glare. So it's not me that they don't trust. It's Loki. That's understandable.
"As you can see, I do have my hands full" If they don't go away, I may end up killing someone today. Maybe we should have had a training session today. I could knock some heads together.
"You know," Thor suggested, "I bet there are probably some spells in the Calland home that could help this healing along a little quicker." And Thor's about to be buried underneath it.
"That sounds like a good idea, Thor," I beamed. I felt Loki's hand move away "Why don't you go look?"
"We could go look together," Thor grumbled.
"Or you could go look by yourself," I retaliated.
"I would rather we go look together," Thor insisted. I took a deep breath.
"Why? Do you need hand reading all those big words?" Loki replied. He seems to be feeling better.
"Brother, this doesn't concern you," Thor glared at Loki.
"Actually it does. Aurora is cleaning the wounds on my back so unless you want to don a nurse's outfit and look after me then I suggest you leave," Loki propped himself up on his elbow.
"Brother-"
"I've had enough of this," I took in a deep breath. Thor thought I was about to banshee yell at him but instead, I did something better, "SIF!"
"no. no. We do not need to get Sif involved," Thor looked around, worried. Loki chuckled.
"You always were afraid of Sif," He remarked.

Two minutes later, Sif came running. She glared at Loki but smiled at me.
"Aurora, Is everything ok?" She looked around the room.
"Not really," I steadied my breathing "I want to scream at the idiots known as Thor and Fandral,"
"What did you do?" Sif glared at Thor "Fandral. Get your arse in here!"
"What now?" Fandral came out of his room quickly.
"Why is Aurora annoyed at you?" She demanded to know. The boys shrugged their shoulders. Sif then looked at me "Aurora?"
"You need to take Thor and Fandral out before I kill them. They keep hoovering around and I can't work on healing Loki while they are bugging us!" I waved my hands at the boys who hung their heads "They seem to have some pent-up energy they both need to get rid of."
"Not cool boys," Loki added. Sif seemed to understand where I was coming from as she nodded.
"Will you be alright on your own?"
"I will be fine," I promised, "But I cannot guarantee those two won't be. So get them out of my hair before I banshee scream them through a wall"
"I didn't do anything," Thor played innocent. I knew Fandral was still in the hallway but he was keeping quiet "I wanted you to come with me to the library,"
"Out. Now!" I snarled, my eyes turning red. I went to take a deep breath. Sif took his wrist and dragged him out the door.
"Move your arse," Sif warned "You, too. Fandral," I heard Fandral complain about something "She is 21 years old. She's a big girl and not as stupid as you two!" I let out a heavy sigh of exasperation and called out the door.
"Thank you, Sif!"
"Not a problem!" She shouted back "Move it!"

I sat back down on the bed and continued working on Loki's back.
"You know, Aurora. You handled that better than I would have at full health,"
"You would have stabbed them. I know where Thor's weak spot is Sif. He will do anything she says whether he wants to or not. Fandral's weak spot is me."
"It seems Layla picked decent Godfathers" Loki sighed, wincing as I pressed the cotton pad to his back.
"She did but gods, they are annoying" I clarified, "Why did my mama not pick you or Hogun though?"
"In Midgardian terms, I am only in my late 20's so I was a teenager when I met your mother and plus I was going through some things. Like dealing with the fact I was adopted," Loki sighed "And as for Hogun, I have no idea. he was your father's brother in arms,"
"Do you know if Hogun is still alive?" I asked as I taped Loki's shoulder. Loki shook his head.
"He's not. Around seven years ago or so. He was ranting that a Hybrid was to bring about Ragnarok," Loki leaned on his elbows "So Hela had him killed in the courtyard of Asgard,"
"Does the others know?" I whispered. Loki shook his head "We need to tell them,"
"At some point, we can. They need to let out their pent-up energy," Loki smiled "So what do you know of his vision?"
"The Hybrid will bring down hell," I pinched my lips together, "Thor told me a bit about it,"
"That's not the full version though," Loki looked at me over his shoulder "He stated that a Hybrid will tear through Asgard. That they will be the ones who will destroy hell,"
"Destroying Asgard will be the only way to defeat Hela. It is where she gains her powers. It feeds her strength," I clicked my tongue.
"As much as I don't want you to go back there and face my sister, I know you won't listen and I will fight by your side," Loki smiled at me. Our eyes connected for a moment. and that funny stomach feeling came back. I think I might be in trouble with this one.
"I... urm... I fixed up your back," I took the bloody rags and pads away and cleaned my hands in the ensuite (Every room had an ensuite. Fandral was that fancy) "They will need changing every day,"
"Thank you, Aurora," Loki whispered as he lay on his back "It already feels better than ever,"

Once I was cleaned up, I sat back on the bed next to Loki. I took his hand in mine.
"You look a little better," I spoke as I placed a hand on his cheek "You don't feel so clammy either,"
"Well, I had an excellent nurse," He smiled.
"I am not putting a nurse's outfit on," I spoke as I pulled the covers over Loki.
"Shame. I think you would look ravishing," Loki smirked "Then again, I would place a bet that you would look wearing nothing but a leaf,"
"You must be hallucinating," I joked.
"I highly doubt that but if this is a vision then I do not want it to end. For this must be what heaven looks like," Loki grabbed my hand again "I meant what I said earlier. I would like to get to know you better," I leaned over, giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek.
"I will think about it but now may not be the right time," I bit down on my lip.
"Why, because it might get weird for everyone else? Who cares about them? This is about us." Loki sighed. He was right. I shouldn't have to live my life by those around me. I was more worried for Loki. Thor and Fandral would have his knees if they knew Loki was making a pass at me.
"Loki, you are one of my closest friends since I got involved in this whole thing. If we got together and we broke up, and I lost you..." I muttered.
"What makes you think we're gonna break up?" Loki sat up, grabbing my hands.
"Well, have you been involved with someone with whom you haven't broken up?"
"No. But it only has to happen once. Look, you and I both know we are perfect for each other?" Loki's hands made their way to my face. I felt my heartbeat quicken.
"I don't know... I mean, I've never looked at you that way before,"
"Well, start looking," Loki whispered as he leaned in closer. I couldn't stop myself from leaning in either. my eyes grew a little wider as he kissed me. The kiss was tentative at first then grew passionate. Loki's were very kissable, soft and moist. My hands were his hair. Kissing him was so different. And I liked it. Our lips parted and Loki returned to his position beside me "And that's just a teaser. I will wait for you forever," Loki whispered against my lips.
"Give me some time to think about us," I whispered back. Loki nodded "You should get some rest," I ordered. he nestled down into the bed.
"Aurora..." Loki spoke as he yawned. I smiled at him "Please stop me if I am overstepping but... but will you stay here?" Loki requested, keeping his voice down. I nodded and climbed under the covers with him.
"One, you are not overstepping and two... I will stay as long as I can," Loki pulled me into his arms, nuzzling his nose into my hair, falling asleep quickly "Sleep tight, Mischief,"
