Summary
Morgan Parker. Earth-2999. In every universe, Peter Parker loses. In every universe, Tony Stark wins. And, in every universe, someone always gets left behind.Sarah Rogers. Earth-49993. There were always rumors of pre-made super soldiers. Genetically modified from birth. In this case, it was true. And in this case, the Avengers made sure she grew up safe. They were there for her. Until they weren't.Their fates meet. A freak accident — or maybe a benevolent God finally recognizing their pained lives — throws them to a different world, a different universe, and maybe, just maybe, gives them a second chance.———Or, the one where kids need school (preferably a social life) and there are one too many coincidences for them to be just that.
Note
Okay. Hello to anyone who's interested. This was initially inspired by a fic I read a WHILE ago and I have no clue of the name or the author but it was brilliant. If anyone is reminded of that fic while reading this let me know because I have been looking for it for so long and I can't seem to find it… Anyway, I'm rambling💀This isn't how the initial story I have planned starts (or at least I don't think so), it's just a loose chapter, maybe not even that. It's just all I've gotten myself to actually write about the story and I needed to get this bit out. There might be more chapters coming or an actual main fic and this will get added to it later on, but for now there is just this :)Also, TW❗ There is a little of a panic attack, kinda. I don't think it's heavy but it's there so I'm just putting it out there. Just letting you know :) There is also a tiny mention of blood, but nothing graphic.Okay! *claps hands* All of this said, enjoy (or not idk) and comments and/or kudos are appreciated.Ps English is not my first language so I apologize in advance for anything that might sound of.

Chapter 1

"Soooo, school!" Tony spoke, clapping his hands.

Morgan's head barely moved up from what she was reading, too immersed in the book, which caused her to miss the looks thrown at Tony by the other adults.

Sarah, on the other hand, did look up from her intense game of Jenga — it was Pietro's turn anyway — and looked around the room, frowning as she caught sight of the team of superheroes having a silent debate over the kids' heads.

She broke the silence, fully turning around from her place on the ground to look at them, "What?"

Natasha went to speak but Tony beat her to it, "You know… high school, drama, blowing up the chem lab and whatnot. The whole teenage angst experience,"

"Yeah, I'm not going to high school." Little Morgan shrieked next to her when the Jenga blocks came down, not minding the conversation happening around her.

Pietro laughed in triumph and Morgan stuck her tongue out to him. Sarah turned back to the game — just in time to see Maria raise an eyebrow at her response — and helped them put the tower back up for another round as she spoke, "I skipped straight to college in my world, no need to go back to high school."

Tony snorted, his laugh cut short by Pepper whacking him on the head.

Steve spoke next, leaning against the wall as he looked at his daughter, "Kid, you're sixteen, you gotta go to school."

From her spot on the couch Morgan rolled her eyes, gaze never lifting from her book. Natasha caught this and cleared her throat, "Something you wanna say?"

She turned the page and spoke, "I'm with blondie beach on this one; I'm not going back to school."

Steve crossed his arms, "What's your excuse?"

"I dropped out."

Pietro snorted from his place on the floor and next to him, little Morgan cheered as Sarah carefully extracted a block from the tower, the blonde trying not to laugh at the silence that overcame the room.

Before anyone could say anything, the teen continued speaking, "Besides, this isn't permanent so it'd be a waste of everyone's time to sign us up for school."

Wanda, who had been sitting next to the coffee table painting her nails, and bopping along to whatever was playing from her headphones, looked up at Morgan with a frown, "You aren't staying?"

At the sound of the witch's voice, the other girl finally looked up from her book, looking somewhat regretful, but before Morgan could answer Tony spoke again.

"Listen, thing is, you, my lovely ladies are children, and as such you need to go to school. So, because we are all very responsible and sensible adults," He picked up his Morgan when she walked away from the half-destroyed Jenga tower and swung her around, making the little girl giggle, "and also because none of us would appreciate being charged with child neglect, you are going to be attending high school. Capisce?"

Right as both girls were about to speak Pietro stood from his place on the floor, "Look at the bright side, yes? You going to school means I get to bully you more ey?" He playfully threw a wooden block at Sarah and then signaled to his sister, "And we won't be so lonely then, no?"

Sarah tossed the brick right back and pouted, "And here I thought I was getting rid of you…"

Pietro caught the block and put his hand over his heart, "Oh! You hurt me little America, oh my heart!"

Sarah flashed her teeth at him, "My one and only purpose in life."

Pietro pulled a face but before they could continue their bickering Wanda spoke, "If you came we would not be as alone."

Morgan raised her eyebrows, "You trying to guilt trip us Maximoff?" At this, Wanda smiled innocently and went back to painting her nails.

The adults, who had been silently watching the teens' antics with amusement, went back to the topic at hand.

This time it was Maria who spoke, with a slightly authoritative tone, "The placement tests shouldn't be an issue so we'll get you both started in no time."

Maria threw Sarah a look, "No buts." The girl in question closed her mouth and huffed.

Morgan looked at the twins, "What school do you guys go to anyway?"

"Midtown." Came the reply from both Wanda — who hadn't looked up from her half-done nails — and Pietro.

Morgan stilled when she heard the name, but no one seemed to notice.

Tony, who had gotten started on dinner — with little Morgan's assistance of course —, lifted his gaze from the half cooked omelets to address the girls.

"You'll be with Peter too! It'll be fun, yeah?"

"Daddy you need to watch the omelets!"

Tony said something to his daughter but the older Morgan couldn't focus on what. She was frozen in place as she spoke silently from her seat on the couch."Who's Peter?"

She was overreacting, she had to be. Plenty of people are named Peter, it's just a coincidence, it's just a stu-

"Peter Parker." It was Maria who spoke, "Sweet kid, he's your age I think." Morgan guessed someone must have nodded to Maria, letting her know she was right, but she couldn't be sure.

She could feel her body going cold, a conversation was happening around her but the voices were muffled and indistinct. Her own vision was unclear and unfocused. She felt someone sit next to her.

Someone sat down next to her. Her aunt was speaking to a doctor, sobbing to them really. Morgan just sat there, not completely aware of what was happening. Someone called her name, she looked to her left — it was a nurse —. She was calling her name, she could hear it, like a chant. Morgan, Morgan, Morg-

"-an. Morgan." She was snapped out of it by someone, not someone, Sarah. The blonde was sitting to her left, with her hand on her shoulder.

Her mouth was moving, Sarah was saying something. Was she talking to her?

Morgan thought someone moved around the room, but she couldn't be sure, her eyes were only focused on Sarah, blurred around the edges.

The girl took her by the hand and they stood up. Morgan thought she heard Sarah mutter something over their shoulders and then she was pulling her along the corridor.

A door opened and then closed. Morgan and Sarah were in one of their bedrooms, Morgan couldn't be sure which. She was guided to sit on the bed, but instead, she slid to the floor.

Her back slid down the wall until she touched the floor. She looked around, as much as her teary eyes allowed her. She was in her room. His room. When they first moved in with their aunt and uncle, they hadn't wanted to be alone and the adults ended up merging the two guest rooms of the apartment. She went to silence a sob but halted when she realized her face was wet — hadn't she wiped all the blood off? —. Her face was wet, were those tears?

She hadn't realized she was crying, when had she started crying?

"Morgan?"

"Hm?"

"You with me?" Was that Sarah? It sounded like her. She sounded concerned.

"Yeah."

Sarah didn't say anything else, she just let out a worried breath as Morgan slowly came back.
