"I am having a bit of a dilemma here." Eddie huffed, plopping down into the front seat of Steve's BMW.
"And what would that be?" Steve let out a soft chuckle.
"Don't laugh, big boy. This concerns you too." Eddie rolled his eyes, slipping his buckle on as Steve reversed out of the parking lot of Hawkins High. He waved at Chrissy as they passed by her and Robin. That was something new for both girls. Realizing they had chemistry after everything that had happened with Vecna. They started hanging out a couple of weeks after. Both he and Steve had bets going on who would break first. Steve thought it was Robin, seeing as she had no filter. Eddie had a feeling it would be Chrissy.
"How?" Steve asked. He was focused on the road and Eddie felt a little bad bringing it up on the car ride home. Steve had been at work all day and was probably tired. "Eds?"
"Will." Eddie hummed, bringing his thumb up to his mouth to bite at his nail. Steve carefully pulled his hand away from his face, twinning their fingers together.
"Will what, hun?" Steve asked, rubbing his thumb over Eddie's knuckles.
"Not like the verb, I'm talking about the noun." Eddie sighs.
"Oh! My Will? Baby Byers?" Steve asked, catching on.
"Yes, Baby Byers." Eddie nods. "I am glad that he is adjusting so well to being back in Hawkins. I'm proud of him for telling Mike to fuck off, too. Same with El. Mike has needed to be told to fuck off for a while. Kids full of shit, just like his sister. But that is not what I am getting at here."
"What are you getting at, baby?" Steve asks, pulling up to the Munson's new trailer.
"Its about Gareth." Eddie sighs.
"I thought this was about Will?" Steve asks, parking the car and turning to look at Eddie in confusion.
"It is!" Eddie groans, sliding his hands down his face.
"Sorry?" Steve squints. "Eddie, love, I am trying my best to follow, but you're confusing me."
"No, you're doing a good job." Eddie sighs. "Come on, I want to go inside and cuddle and then I'll explain my stupid, long winded dilemma."
Steve follows him into the house, both making their way to Eddie's room. Steve slipped down to just his briefs and Eddie slipped down to his briefs as well before throwing on a large t-shirt.
"Okay, baby, talk." Steve smiled, pulling Eddie down into bed with him.
"Okay, remember how when Will came back to Hawkins, he told everyone he was gay?" Eddie asked softly.
"Of course. Nobody is giving him trouble, are they?" Steve looked ready to kill and it made Eddie so proud to call this man the love of his life.
"Of course not. I wouldn't let that happen. Dustin wouldn't let that happen." Eddie shook his head. "But back on track, Will likes boys."
"Okay. Will likes boys." Steve nodded, showing he was listening and following along.
"Okay, please stay with me.. Gareth. You know how Gareth is bi?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah, when you introduced us again he came out to me." Steve nodded.
"Okay, amazing, beautiful." Eddie leaned in and kissed Steve. "Still following."
"I am. Keep going." Steve smiled.
"Will came out to us, told Mike to fuck off, and he is coming out of his shell. He is so confident in who he is during school and all the rest of the time too. He is favoring his art, bettering it. He has been doing amazing in Hellfire and even took over DMing a couple times so far and killed it." Eddie rushed out.
"Okay, Will is gaining confidence and he is gay.. you might be losing me again.." Steve scrunched his face up again, clearly lost.
"Nope, you are still on track." Eddie nodded.
"Why is this a bad thing?" Steve asked.
"Gareth noticed it." Eddie groans.
"That's good! Will needs more friends." Steve smiled. "Why is this a dilemma?"
"Honey.. Gareth likes Will. He has been flirting and making Will blush and offering for them to study together and he even gave Will his number today." Eddie explained, looking up at Steve.
"Wait, but Gareth is a junior." Steve huffed out. "He is too old for Will!"
"Are you telling me that you didn't hook up with senior girls when you were a freshman?" Eddie laughs.
"I did, but I am not trying to enforce my bad habits on these kids!" Steve huffed, sitting up.
"So, my dilemma is that I don't know wether to let this continue." Eddie sighs. "Do I let them try dating each other or do I stop it now and possibly ruin a good experience for the both of them?"
"Give me a minute." Steve stands from the bed, leaving the room and shutting the door behind him.
"Steve?" Eddie called out.
"Give me a minute!" Steve calls back. That minute turns into 15 before Steve slips back into the room and into bed with Eddie once again.
"What was that?" Eddie laughs, pulling Steve close again.
"You are going to let things happen naturally between the two of them." Steve nods, seeming sure of the situation.
"What did you just do?" Eddie asked.
"I called Gareth." Steve shrugs. "I talked with him, threatened him a bit. Then I talked with Jonathan."
"You meddled." Eddie said, tugging his face down to kiss him. Steve hummed into the kiss.
"So what? Now, go grab your homework so we can get you graduated faster." Steve shoves him backward out of the bed, laughing at the yelp Eddie lets out when he hits the ground.

Its a little over a week later that Eddie sees the results of Steve's meddling. Gareth gushes to him in the library about how well his first date with Will had gone and how he absolutely cannot wait to go out with him again.
Eddie kisses Steve deeply once they are out of view of the public eye.
"What was that for?" Steve laughs, slipping his fingers into Eddie's belt loops.
"Nothing in particular, cupid." Eddie laughs, watching Steve's cheeks tinge pink.
"Cupid?" Steve asks.
"Yes, cupid. Gareth and Will are going on their second date this Saturday." Eddie smirks.
"Good!" Steve grins. "Can this cupid take you to bed now?"
"Cupid can take me to bed any time he wants.. after homework of course." Eddie teases, slipping out of Steve's hold as the other man groans. "Oh hush you big baby!"
"Thought I was a big boy?" Steve smirks.
"Oh, you are a very big boy. Now come help me with my homework." Eddie laughs.
