It was a normalish day for the Hargreeves family. Indie was sitting in the living room when a portal opened. She thought nothing of it as she wrote out a new song for the band to perform later that week. That was until they heard the voice of their friends from another dimension. His head snapped up so fast that it sent a loud pop through the room.
"Hey guys!" He said, waving his hand above his head. Five and Viktor smiled softly at the young teenager that was greeting them. It was a very long debate on what they needed to do. The commission asked Five to bring his family to a safe place while they have their yearly meeting. There had been a rumor of an uprising from those who are still loyal to the blonde demon.
Vik flew down the stairs as he heard his child talking to people who weren't previously in his house. He and Luther had been in a meeting about the prototypes that were supposed to be launched next year as a part of their building eco-friendly line of electronics. They also needed to talk about the offer that they received to head a clean energy project for the United States government.
That changed when Viktor heard a familiar pop of a portal being opened and then 14 different voices talking in a low grumble together then Indie greeting them. Viktor didn't trust it and while he knew his child could fend for themselves he just wanted to be sure. When he got to the living room however he was met with the family that took care of his children and his nibblings when Psi accidentally diminution hopped them.
Viktor panted lightly as he tried to calm the panic that shot through him. After The Conductor almost kidnapped Hiroshi a few weeks ago he had been on edge. That wasn't necessarily his fault however being a superhero prepares you for a lot of things but the fears and nightmares that came with being a parent wasn't one of them. He walked the rest of the way into the room with a small smile dancing on his lips.
"Hello, it's nice to officially meet you. My children talk rather highly of you," he said as he shook the men's hand that had taken care of his children.
"They were delightful to have. Unfortunately this isn't just a social visit," Viktor told his counterpart.
Vik's spine immediately straightened. His demeanor changed from cordial to business. It was the first time One through Seven had seen a Viktor be a leader.
"Indie, sweetie, press the button," Viktor said calmly. Indie wheeled over time the mission button and pressed it. A loud ringing sounded around the building that has the 4 super hearing individuals covering their ears. The sound of feet could be heard and soon the academy and the kids were in the living room. Indie let go of the button and wheeled back to the group.
"Hello again," Quentin said, waving at the other group of heroes. He shook the men's hands and stepped back into line with his husbands and siblings. Klaus stepped up next to Viktor staring at someone only four people could see.
"How can we help?" Klaus asked with a smile still looking at the ghost. Ben stared back. This Klaus looked healthy and sober. Ben knew it was possible for his Klaus to be sober but he'll never look like that.
"My job is under a threat of attack. It's not safe for any of my family to be in my universe while it is happening," Five said.
"I should be coming with you," Lila said. It was obvious that she was pregnant at this point. Diego had an arm wrapped around her waist holding her tight to him.
"Not this time little sister," Five said with a sigh.
"Oh you two are siblings! Interesting, I mean I can barely handle the Leprechaun as a brother in law," Lila quipped from where she was holding Navya.
"How is the king and country there Lila?" Quentin quipped back with a dangerous smirk.
"You mean Queen and country?" Lila asked, leaning into Diego further.
"No Queen Elizabeth died last year," Luther said with a small chuckle. Lila looked horrified at the thought. Five looked over at his sister with concern. They both had complicated feelings about the royal family but he knew how much his sister missed her home.
"I do have to go but could they please stay here?" Five asked.
"Yes of course," Viktor said with a small smile. Five nodded at him before turning to say goodbye to his family.

The two Klaus's were in the kitchen with the ghost of Ben sitting at the table with him. Klaus was not at all okay with being dropped in a random universe without being asked. He watched the Klaus from this universe moving around the kitchen. They were making tea for the ex junkie. They grabbed them as soon as everyone was settled and brought him and Ben down to the kitchen. Once the tea was set on the table Klaus folded their hands in front of them.
"Now Embry told me about you. I'm not going to tell you that you should quit because it's bad for your health but I am going to tell you that they make our powers worse," Klaus said softly. "Our powers are the axis of life and death. We came into this world half dead so we have a little sway when it comes to it. That being said, Ben, would you like to be alive again?"
"You can do that?" Ben asked in a whisper. He leaned closer to his Klaus and stared at the person in the flowery dress.
"Yes I can. Embry will be observing as well as your nibbling and you Klaus if it's alright with you," Klaus said, taking a drink of their tea.
"Yes! Yes please," Ben said excitedly. He hadn't been alive in so long and he couldn't wait to be again.
"Perfect. Tomorrow night we will meet in the yard and I will talk through everything with you and with our onlookers then," They said standing from the table.
"Wait what time?" Klaus asked as his counterpart moved to leave the room. He had serious concerns about this whole thing but Ben looked so happy. He wouldn't be the one to ruin it for him.
"8 pm is when we will meet," the other Klaus said with a kind smile before leaving the room leaving the ghost and the recovering junkie to talk amongst themselves.

The kids were all gathered in the living room. The adults watched on in mild fascination. Psi kept blinking in and out of the room bringing different things with him each time and showing them Keiren and Einar. Fionn was talking rather excitedly to Keiren about different weather abnormalities from history.
"Where's Kai?" Allison said with an annoyed sigh. She had just about had it with her daughter's antisocial behavior.
"Her and Reyne went upstairs to look at her makeup collection and Hiroshi took Harun up to the music room," Viktor said counting and recounting his kids. He was uneasy being back in the manor even if a lot of what made it Reginald's was gone.
"Are you okay?" His counterpart asked softly. He had laid on his shoulder softly in comfort.
"Not really. I don't like being at the mansion even if it is different. Even if he isn't here now," Viktor explained softly.
"Reginald Hargreeves mysteriously died in his bed one night nearly 30 years ago," Ben said with a small smirk.
"They never did figure out how," Quentin supplied with a chuckle.
"You killed dad?" Luther asked a plethora of emotions flashing across his face.
"Yes we did. He was killing Klaus," his counterpart said while leaning into his wife.

"This is my YouTube set up and here is all my makeup," Kai said showing the dimension hopper everything she was trying to be. She was honestly sick of the makeup and the pretending. She just wanted to be her.
"These are nice," Reyne said, looking through all of the nice products. They could tell something was wrong with their friend but couldn't pinpoint exactly what. They moved and sat next to her on the bed. "What's eating you?"
"This isn't me… The make up, the clothes, hell even the attitude I present isn't me and sometimes I just want to be… well the real me," Kai said after several minutes of silence. She had never told anyone the full extent of her unhappiness.
"Why don't you?" Reyne asked softly, holding their friend's hand.
"You are expected to act and look and sound a certain way when your mother is famous. I have to look and act exactly like her and it's hard because I'm nothing like my mother. I'd rather be in my pj's all day long reading comic books and watching TV then be all fancy like her. I've actually been working on my own comic. Would you like to see it?" She asked her friend with a small smile.
"I'd love to," they said.

8pm the next day was an anxiety filled wait. The young mediums were sitting with wide-eyed curiosity as this universe's Klaus poured what he called black salt down in a shape that all four of the mediums recognized. Three of which had no idea what it was.
"Now that the symbol is drawn can anyone tell me what it is?" Klaus asked like he was teaching a class. He was in a way. A class on how to use their powers.
"This symbol is the ANKH otherwise known as the key of life or the key of the Nile. We are going to be using it as the key of life today. Yes, Embry questions?" Klaus said pointing to their daughter.
"Isn't it the symbol used by Anubis?" She asked. She had a notebook in front of her and she had been taking notes.
"Yes, that is correct! In our line of powers we work alot with Gods and Goddesses of death. We are their link to this world and our link to theirs. That being said it does take a lot of meditating to know which one of them will want to participate in a resurrection. Anubis offered his services for this one because Ben's death threw things out of balance for his family," Klaus said before turning to the ghost. "If you would please stand here."
The ghost stood where he was directed and watched the medium walk to the end of the stim. The group watched the medium call on his powers with amazement. The flashes of blue that filled the air. They danced like ribbons in the breeze and soon they took hold of the ghost.
Ben gasped at the strange sensation that overtook his body and slowly he began to feel more human. He could feel his skin and hear the pounding of his blood that flowed through his body once again. Almost as soon as the light started it stopped and Ben stood whole once more.
~
After they got Ben settled in his new body the mission bell rang loudly through the halls of the manor. The occupants of the house were up, dressed, and down the stairs in a matter of minutes. Their guests were freaking out, rightfully so, at something they hadn't heard in years.
"Dr. Terminal has taken the subway hostage. Warp and Rewind I need the two of you to start getting casualties and passengers out of there focus first on casualties. Rumor and Horror I need you two to distract him while me and Kraken take out his equipment. Stan, I need you and Claire to go to the control room to give us any and all information. Does everyone understand?" Viktor said, looking around the room at the nods he was getting. "Good let's go."
The people mentioned went flying into action as they went to the mission site. Indie rolled over to the TV and switched on the live news feed of the event the remaining heroes gathered to watch it. Viktor sat making sure everyone from his universe was safely in the mansion. 7 children's hearts beat. 6 adults' hearts beat. They were all here. They were all safe.
"For those of you just tuning in, the Umbrella Academy is here and have started the fight with Dr. Terminal. Rumor and Horror seem to have him under control and Warp and Rewind have just given the all clear. The trains are now empty," the reporter said as they circled the scene in a helicopter.
The children watched with amazement as the heroes worked. They watched as a sound wave knocked Dr. Terminal off balance in his stupid robo suit. Horror launched Rumor to where he had landed and the fight ended as quickly as it began with a well placed Rumor.
"We never worked like that," Luther mumbled to his siblings. Diego looked between the group. He had noticed that things worked differently with them. His eyes stopped where Klaus and Viktor were sitting letting his mind wonder.
"We were never a whole team though were we?" Diego asked as he squeezed Ben's hand. Since he was brought back one of his siblings had to be touching him in some way just to prove that he's real. Not that Ben was complaining at all it seemed as if he needed the reminder.
"No we weren't," everyone who didn't have super hearing jumped at Five's sudden reappearance.
"Is it over?" Viktor asked him with slightly teary eyes. He wanted to go home. He was saddened deeply by what could have been and he wanted to sleep in his bed with his husband.
"It is but let's wait for all our hosts to come home before leaving," he said with a chuckle as he gave his husband a hug and kissed his forehead. He let go of his husband and pulled his newly alive brother into a hug. He had to catch up on a lot.
When everyone was home and accounted for they said their goodbyes. The kids were slow to actually go through the portal back to their home. They wanted to stay with their friends longer. After a promise of regular sleepovers the adults finally managed to get the children home and to their beds.
