Chapter 2
Tony's eyes opened; he looked around and was in a familiar place.
“Mr. Stark, you are at Yamato. Shin-sama brought you here,” a maid said. Tony nodded; his body felt great. His lungs were fully healed, even beyond Extremis. It hadn't felt this way since before Afghanistan and his encounter with the Ten Rings.
Tony heard the door open and let out a rare smile as he saw Kaela and the rest of his true team come in. Kaela instantly latched onto him.
“Tony, you're an idiot. What possessed you to go alone? If you wanted to give the illusion of being alone, you should have had Diana come with you. She would be undetected,” Mikaela said, slapping his shoulder.
“I know I was a fool. I wasn't thinking clearly. I was deceived since Barnes turned out to be innocent of the attack on the Accords meeting and wanted to make it up, so I made a promise to Wilson that I would go alone. But little did I know that I would learn that Barnes wasn't as innocent as he seemed. Neither was Rogers, that fucker. That fucker, he hid it from me. My parents' death, that drugged-up street rat Rogers hid it from me,” Tony said as his voice slowly turned from sad to angry.
Diana's hands were shaking. “Rogers, Barnes, were they the reason that you were injured that badly?” Diana asked wanting to know if they put Tony near death. Tony nodded, and that confirmation was all that Diana needed as she mentally greenlit her mission to destroy Rogers, Barnes, and their supporters.
“This is war, they—Rogers and his supporters—have started a blood feud against us,” Diana declared, making Tony's eyes widen. He knew her capabilities.
“Diana, no… there are some innocent—not everyone…” Tony was interrupted.
“Nobody who supports Team Cap is innocent in my book. It was their actions that led to you, my only family, nearly dying. To me, all of them are guilty for your condition, and for our mother, I will have Barnes and all of Hydra at the end of my blade. Nobody will stop me,” Diana said, making Tony quiet. He couldn't refute that, and why would he defend the people who caused his injuries? All of them had a role in this.
“Hey Diana, remember to save Maximoff for me. She was the Hydra agent who hurt and captured my mother. And besides, it's my destiny to rip the bitch to shreds. I want to look her in the eyes, introducing myself—hopefully, by that time, as a Stark, the family she hates the most—before I put my anti-magic blade through her heart, watching the bitch who mentally tortured my Tony life fade away,” Mikaela said as Tony smiled at this. He had a girlfriend who would accept and love him for who he is: both Iron Man, Tony Stark, not who they want him to be.
Tony cared for Pepper; he did lose his feelings of love for her after she put their relationship on hold because Tony saw through Pepper’s powerplay. She was controlling; she wanted him to be the way she wanted him to be. There was no compromising she was kind of like Rogers. My way or the highway. But Tony was no simp; he wasn't willing to change for anyone. So he told her “I think it's better if we remain friends.” After that, it was a rocky road but they managed to become friends again. Mikaela disliked pepper a bit though but she was slowly coming around.
“All right, guys, now that Tony's okay, let's go to my father, where Tony can explain everything,” Shin said. They then went to the Shogun’s throne room where Tony explained everything.
“I see. It seems like Wakanda is more than invasive thieves; they are a dishonorable terrorist nation as well,” Shogun Ryu said as he looked at his son and his new friends. “Do not fear; Wakanda has always lost in all their wars against us. We even managed to get their Vibranium back when they would send vibrainum weapons to our doorstep as if they were gifts warped for us. I would like for my nation to partner with the New Avengers. I think it's time we bring Wakanda down.”
Diana smiled as she stepped up. “Ryu-sama, I agree. I think I speak for all of us when I say that power-hungry nation needs to be taken down. But I believe we shouldn't kill them. No, we should make them suffer,” Diana said, as Tony, Shin, Vikram, Grog, and Mikaela stayed quiet. They all knew Diana was protective of Tony; he was her last family. She would seize any opportunity she had to make Tony's enemies suffer. Wakanda made it personal by taking in and giving refuge to Winter Soldier, Diana's adoptive mother’s murderer and Rogers who put Tony in a near-death state.
"Ryu-sama, may I borrow some of the Vibranium you retrieved from your past war? I think I am close to making a discovery that would benefit the world and Iron Man technology: reverse engineered Vibranium," Tony said as Ryu smirked. He would love to see the look on those power-hungry war bastards' faces when his son's friend, Tony Stark, a colonizer they like to bash so much, makes their Vibranium as common as metal.
"Yes, that is acceptable," Ryu said.
"Thanks, Ryu-sama," Tony said.
A few months later, the New Avengers were sitting together. Diana had been hard at work. She had wiped out Hydra from the face of the earth – all of them gone. After all, how could you prepare for an attack you can't see, hear, feel, smell, or taste coming? How could you attack someone when you didn't know where they are and they could instantly kill you?
What the world knew were the accords, Tony Stark, and the New Avengers had gotten the Ghost on their side. Tony had officially moved Stark Industries and the New Avengers' base of operations to Yamato with the blessing of Ryu. It wasn't on the main island of Yamato but on an offshore island owned by Yamato in the Pacific Ocean near Japan and America. Tony had also become a resident of Yamato, bringing Stark Industries as its main base of operation, giving more power to the company since the American shareholders dropped their shares and Tony bought them, completing his plan to make the company private so some fat old rich American can't tell him what to do.
It was then Tony made those shareholders regret their decision when he announced Starkbrainum, reverse-engineered Vibranium technologies. He also announced tech like Vibranium arm prosthetics, Vibranium energy barriers, Vibranium energy weapons and shields, Vibranium armor, Vibranium jets, Vibranium tanks, and thanks to studying Chitauri metal, he was able to replicate not the metal itself but the methods the Chitauri metal used to manipulate Vibranium. For example, he managed to make Vibranium control gravity. Stark Industries had become a trillion-dollar company, and the world had progressed further than Wakanda.
What made Tony a lot of money was when he started a paradigm shift. Thanks to Wanda Maximoff and seeing how her powers affected his brain and senses, Tony was able to create the Stark XR, a full-dive XR technology that enables the utilization of all five senses. Instead of relying on chips and screens, these glasses interfaced directly with your brain – the most powerful processor known – to render experiences. It's akin to possessing low-level technopathic abilities or connecting the brain to the internet. Musk was seething Tony had effectively made his neuralink useless. Tony was a wireless solution that allowed for the brain and all five senses to have data read and written to.
With this, mobile phones were a thing of the past. Even gaming with remotes and giant consoles was a thing of the past. People like with a new phone stopped buying out-of-date technology like consoles, phones, computers tablets, and laptops and opted for Stark XR. Tony couldn't wait to tell Wanda her powers made the company that killed her parents richer. And the best part, since the full-dive method Tony used was patented by Tony Star, only licensed partners could use the Stark full-dive method so Tony made a huge profit from that.
Even the Wakandan kimono beads were out of date compared to Stark XR. Tony had essentially destroyed the market for tech sales because why would someone want to use hardware when they had access to everything high-end for a small price of $5000, and they wouldn't have to upgrade because Stark XR was the final level of technology, indistinguishable from real life, just an overlay on reality.
Tony actually had quite a few assassination attempts from the Wakandans when visiting the United States. But Diana took care of them, killing the Wardogs sent to kill him and then sending the heads of the said Wardogs who were sent to assassinate Tony back to Wakanda to T’Challa. Tony even attended a U.N. meeting with Ryu and Shin, where T’Challa tried to make demands that Stark Industries give Starkbrainum profits to Wakanda because it's made from Vibranium. Well, Ryu didn't take kindly to the king of the hypocritical country trying to take from his people. Since Tony was now a resident of Yamato, he threatened war. Most of Africa sided with Yamato since they had Starkbrainium tech. Ryu made T’Challa apologize, for the way he and Wakanda treated Tony, in front of the world leaders and live reporters. Wakanda was humiliated.
But anyway, now Diana and Tony were in the planning room.
“So, that's the plan, Friday. Don't tell Tony, but I'm going to take care of Wakanda. I'm going to sneak in and destroy Wakanda from the inside. Poisoning their water, vegetation, blowing up their food storages, weapons, vehicles, and their warriors from different tribes and Vibranium mines and storages. With that, Wakanda will be helpless, and then T’Challa will lose all his power and his followers will have to suffer on the run,” said Diana.
“That's a flawless plan. You can easily get into Wakanda due to your powers and fulfill your goals, getting out without them knowing. I suggest killing Shuri and every one of their scientists too while you're at it. I will have the Starkbrainum Iron Legion kill the remaining Wakandan Wardogs around the world. I just need permission from a Stark,” Friday said.
“Well, you have one. I'm technically legally a Diana Carter Stark, because I was legally adopted by Maria Stark,” Diana said.
“Very well, deploying Starkbrainum Iron Legion.”
