Allies and Enemies
The tension in the room was so thick not even Wasabi’s blades could cut it. Hiro was on Fred’s bed while Baymax was scanning for any physical injuries. (Now that he was decently charged that is.)
GoGo then exclaimed in a sudden fit of anger, “Argh! This sucks! We have no leads, no plan, Hiro’s down, and we are no closer to figuring out what's wrong with him!” She then suddenly kicked over a small empty table, making it skitter across the room.
“Actually we do have half of that.” Wasabi cut in before GoGo abused another table, “Momakase said that she was not done with her employer, well we know that she was working for Obake so this might be our answer to whether or not he is alive.”
Before GoGo could answer Baymax turned to them, even with his blank robot face there was something about his complexion that told them something was wrong. “I have run a scan on Hiro, it seems that there is an unknown toxin in his system. I do not have the knowledge to cure my patient. However, Hiro has suffered mild electric burns and a low fever. Both of which I can be mended with time and care.”
The team stared at him in shock (no pun intended) then at each other hoping at least one of them would have a plan to help their friend. “This is just like in Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death!” Shouted Fred with a little too much enthusiasm earning a glare from everyone in the room, “Or maybe not since this is more Electric Poison than Poison Ivy.” He whispered with less enthusiasm.
“It is possible that Hiro may wake soon, but he may be delusional and confused. It is best to not crowd or question him if he regains consciousness.” Baymax said with his smooth robotic voice but knowing their marshmallow friend, he too was concerned.
“Well if this is about toxins then there's only one person who can help.” Wasabi said while HoneyLemon and Gogo nodded in agreement.
Fred then slowley leans over to Minimax, “Who’s this one person exactly?” He whispers to his small friend.
“Fred Would Like To Know Who This Specific Person Is!” Minimax proclaims showing off his prod hero pose.
Gogo facepalms but nonetheless explains to her rather forgetful friend, “Karmi you dimwitt!”
Fred looks satisfied with an answer, though shouts a hey! When the team starts to head to their school to see if Karmi is there. Preferring to bring her to Fred's house so as to not run the risk of moving Hiro in his state. Heathcliff, Minimax, and Baymax staying behind and assuring them that he will be safe and will call if any problems occur.
Elsewhere 15 minutes ago: “My brilliant plan is already in motion, it's only a matter of time before Big Hero 6 finds out that it's not really a poison in his system.” Obake stated out in the open while staring at a screen connected to a secret security camera in Fred’s room.
“I may be regretting this, but since we are now partners, what did you give to that little rat?” Momakase said with disgust though with a hint of curiosity. While also ignoring how Obake could have possibly gotten a camera in Fred's room with the junk she had lying around. Then again, he was a genius.
“Language please, that little rat will be working for me very soon. And about the so-called poison? Well, I'm afraid that will have to remain a surprise for later.”
Momakase rolled her eyes in response but nonetheless she just continued to sharpen her blades while listening to Big Hero 6’s (or 4 at this point, minus Hiro and Baymax) conversation. Giving a small smile to see the team fall so desperately apart without the aid of a child.
Present Time, Karmi’s Lab: “Based on your description it doesn't seem like any virus I know of.” Karmi said a bit disappointed. “I would like to know how he got it in the first place, was it from contact with someone else? Bad food? He has some electric burns and while I’m not a doctor that shows he came in contact with something of high voltage. What did a robot attack him or something?” Karmi had her deductions out so fast that the team could barely register her response.
By the time they did, they just looked at each other wondering if they could tell her the truth. She was a decently close friend but her knowing about Big Hero 6 would be dangerous and might make her a target as well.
“Ah screw it, Karmi you better not tell anyone this, but Hiro’s life may be on the line so, we're Big Hero 6!” Gogo shouted with a bit more force than necessary though given the circumstances it was understandable.
Although Karmi's response being unexpected as it was just plain silence before the room was filled with her laughter, “HAHAHAHAHAHA, Really you?! Big Hero 6!?!” It was a bit awkward till reality. HoneyLemon and Wasabi looking away with Fred and GoGo being disappointed. (Though Fred was more insulted that al she could do was laugh in the face of great truth)
Then it suddenly dawned on her. Her looking making even GoGo smirk, “Wait, so then looking at your heights Captain Cutie must be… HIRO!?!?”
Now it was the team's turn to snicker at her confused and embarrassed face at the fact that the handsome boy she wrote fanfictions about was the one kid that she hated most.
“Good job! You figured it out, now... aaaand we broke her.” Wasabi was unamused though only felt a bit bad for spilling Hiro’s biggest secret to the one girl he also hated most.
"N-no! It's fine, its- STOP laughing!" Karmi shouted turning a nice crimson shade in the face before slowly trying to compose herself to ask for a more detailed explanation.
“Though GoGo beat her to it, getting annoying by their childish games, "Well believe it or not Hiro is in danger because a deranged egotistical scientist named Obake, whom we thought was dead, possibly came back from beyond to kidnap Hiro in order to force him to become his student after the last attempt failed. Possibly by hiring a criminal to poison him and now we have no idea where Obake is or how to cure Hiro, so stop your childish romantic breakdown and help us save Hiro!”
GoGo was practically fuming after her rant, Karmi even looking a bit insulted. Though Karmi knew that she was only worrying about herself even when Hiro was in danger.
“Right, sorry, I believe you. I guess, but I would like to see any evidence of when Hiro was attacked. Photos, videos, even the thing that attacked him if you could.” The young scientist said while gathering some simple supplies to run a couple quick tests.
The team gave her a ginger smile, but they weren't out of danger yet. Hiro was still down with a poison or something in his system that they didn't know about and they needed to find a cure before it came to be too late.
Elsewhere: "Didn't you say Mr. Meathead didn't know of your survival? I figured you wanted to keep him at the girl from spilling your secrets. So why is he here?" Momakase said, leaning over Obake's shoulder while he replaced some wires and circuits in Noodle Burger Boy's head.
"Well its all too simple really, while it is true I would rather keep these two out of the way for now. Even this fool can have his uses. Besides, a little memory wipe never hurt anyone." Obake stated as he closed the small compartment and turning the small droid back on.
“Ho- Howdy And Hello! What Would You Like To Order Mister?” Noodle Burger Boy said while looking up at Obake who went back to looking at one of his screens with Big Hero 6 and Karmi on it. (Seriously how the heck did he get all these cameras?!)
“Lets try something new this time, I can be patient, I know it would be quite exquisite.” He said with the same grin he always had on his face when his planes were going a but too well, and this time it was even more maniac than usual. Yes he will get his student. No matter how long he has to wait.
