Chapter 2
Trying to get through her lesson, she keeps glancing at her watch, replaying the events of the night before.

"I am Venom."
Holy Fuck, I am going insane. She thinks to herself.
"You are not. I am real. Now, feed me more of those fried things." He refers to the Tater Tots. Out of confusion and fear, Y/N obliges. "What are you… Venom..?" She asks, unsure of what is going on, putting more tater tots in the air fryer. "I'm what humans call and alien. I feed off humans, but I need a host on earth to do so. We are now symbiotic." Taking in this information, she starts to stare blankly at the wall.
The ding of the air fryer brings her back. Grabbing them, she just lays them on a plate, assuming Venom can come out and eat it himself. "Hey wait… doesn't this mean I have to eat other humans..?" "Yes." He replies as he gobbles down the tots. "OH come on! I've got too much to deal with right now. Can you just like, not come out in public or anything? Like I teach a class in University, I cannot be seen like this." She tries to explain to Venom, hoping he'd understand. He comes back at her, saying, "If you feed me, we will have no problems." With that, he goes back into her.
Oh. My. God. What is going on.

Finally, as the bell rings, she let's out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. Feeling this huge hunger in her, she needs to find something to eat. After packing up her class, she runs to the on campus shop and grabs a mountain of chocolate. The student working as the cashier is in shock seeing his professor buying such an amount of chocolate. "Will that be all today.. Ms. L/N..?" He asks, unsure of what to think. "Yes yes, please." She hurriedly takes out her card paying for the goods and fishing for a $10 tip for the poor boy.
Y/N escapes to her office, absolutely devouring the chocolates. In the midst of opening another wrapper, she gets a call from Peter B. on her watch.
"Hello?" She says, stuffing the chocolate in her mouth. "Hey Y/N… You told me to call you in case anything happened to Miguel.." Peter pauses, trying to gauge Y/N's reaction. "Uh huh, what's up?" She says, knowing Miguel did something. "So uhm.. We got an anomaly on the loose and he went after it." Peter says quickly, hoping she won't take it out on him. With a sigh, she contemplates before speaking again. "Alright just.. just wait. I'll come and sort it out." She hangs up, rubbing her temples.
"Venom, can you come out really quick? I'd like to speak with you." He pops out of her shoulder, revealing his head. She continues to speak, "I've got some things to deal with at the Spider Society, the one I told you about. Is it possible you can help us?" Venom nods his head. "I can help, but I must eat someone. I need to feed." She sighs, knowing she has to allow him to do this. "Okay.. when we get there, I can tell you when you can eat. Alright?" He grins. "Deal."
Trusting her decision, Y/N pushes a few buttons on her watch, opening a portal to Spider Society. She steps in and enters the main lobby. A few other Spiders greet her, and she greets them back with a smile. She's always loved coming here and seeing the different versions of everyone.
She walks to Miguel's lair, finding Peter B. and Mayday. "Hey Peter, Mayday!" Y/N grabs Mayday and holds her as she talks to Peter about the situation. "So what dimension is he in? I need to go to him." Peter doesn't like what Y/N is saying. "It's too dangerous Y/N! I know you've been on missions before, but someone was there with you. If you go, it'll take a while to find him.." Peter tries to reason with her, hoping she'll stay back. "Peter, I know you're worried, really. But he's hurt and I need to make sure nothing bad happens to him. Just tell me which dimension and I promise I'll be fine." He thinks about her words.
On one hand, his friend is hurt and is overexerting himself. On the other hand, his other friend could be put into danger, but she'd be with someone strong. With a sigh, he tells her which dimension Miguel is in and she heads off, opening a portal.
Stepping out of the portal, she heads into a secluded area, letting Venom "transform" her or whatever. Never doing this before, she lets him take control. A warm, black sludge covers her as Venom takes over, her face now being shielded by his. Her stature is now taller, more muscular and defined.
They walk out into the street, in hopes of finding Miguel. Passing by a window, she looks over at it, taking in her reflection. Shit. I look hot. Venom chuckles at her thoughts. In the window is a TV, showing off a battle in Times Square between this earth's Spiderman, an anomaly Vulture, and Miguel. With a location now in mind, they climb a building. This way, they jump on rooftops, getting to Times Square quicker.
Arriving on the scene, she sees that the Vulture is just about to be captured. She bides her time, waiting for the fight to be over before approaching. She doesn't want to scare Miguel, interrupting the flow of the fight.
A rumble in stomach takes her mind away from it, reminding her of the deal. Leaving the vicinity, she goes off to find some lowly criminals. If she is going to eat someone, it better be some low life. Finding a dingy alleyway, she heats the voice of a girl about to be mugged, with a knife to her neck. Swooping in, they take down the man and shoo the girl away, not wanting to scar her. When the girl quickly leaves, they devour him whole. With this action, it satisfies their hunger for the first time in 18 hours.
Finishing their side quest, they go back to Times Square. Upon arrival, they spot Miguel putting the Vulture in an anomaly prison. Slipping down from the roof, they approach.
As Miguel spots them, he captures them in a web. "Who are you? Why are you here Venom?" Miguel questions in an angry tone. Forgetting that Venom and Spiderman are enemies, she forgot to morph back. Hey Venom, could you let down the whole Parasite thing? She asks Venom, not realising her choices of words. PARASITE? I AM NOT- Y/N cuts him off, tired at the situation. I'M SORRY PLEASE JUST- LET ME BACK. He morphs back into her, telling her they will talk later.
Watching Venom morph back into Y/N, Miguel feels a sense of confusion and betrayal. He takes off his mask, revealing a peculiar expression on his face. One of pain, and anger. Not something Y/N expected.
"How long..? You didn't tell me? Are you fucking kidding me Y/N! DID YOU USE YOUR POSITION AS A NURSE TO LEAK INFORMATION!?" Miguel raises his voice at every question, scaring Y/N. He doesn't give her any chance to explain as his claws come out in anger, scaring her further. "No Miguel, listen to me! It happened last night as I came back from sending you to Peter. I have no idea what's happening to me.. Please believe me, I don't know what's happening!" She tries to explain to him, hoping he'll believe her. "I-I just can't with you right now.. Head back to base, we'll talk about it there." He says firmly, not allowing another moment for conversation.
Stubbornly, Miguel heads back to Spider Society with the anomaly in tow. Y/N follows him into the portal, panicking as she has no idea what to do. Do we get tater tots soon? Venom bro.. now is not the time.
