As Peter stepped into stark tower, he felt happy to finally be returning, to see Tony again. Even if no one remembered him. It was pretty easy to forge documents saying he went to mit, he could pass as 20. Hopefully if he was a good enough intern, maybe tony would be proud of him again. He could get his dad back.
“Welcome new interns,” a voice Peter recognized at pepper announced. Peter looked at her with a sad smile, he’d give anything to be part of the family again. But now he’s just a stranger to them.
“I’m pepper Potts, and I’ll be showing you around for your first day” pepper said as she introduced herself.
Everyone followed her into the elevator as Peter glanced at the wall. He laughed to himself as he saw the slight shimmer on the war, courtesy to the glitter war Shuri and Peter had just a few months ago. Tony was so pissed.
When the elevator reached the intern floor, pepper gave everyone a blank key card and instructed everyone to scan the key card, then scan their face so it will match up. After Peter scanned his face, Friday recognized him immediately.
“Welcome back Peter Parker! Would you like me to inform boss of your arrival?” Friday asked.
“No thanks fri, can you actually just act like I’m a low level intern?” Peter asked the ai, hoping no one heard him or Friday.
“Of course Peter, you will have have full access but it will apper to everyone that you are a low level intern,” Friday responded.
Pepper continued on with the tour as Peter zoned out, he already knew everything anyways.
“Oh would you look at that, it’s already 7pm. It looks like we’ll be seeing you tomorrow at 3,” pepper said.
Peter showed up at 2 the next day, hoping to talk to Friday for a little before work started. When he felt he was alone, he asked Friday if anyone else was in earshot. Friday confirmed they were alone but peters spidy-sense told him he wasn’t. Friday has eyes everywhere though, he must just be paranoid.
“Friday, how do you remember me?” Peter asked, in a confused tone. “It seems every human has forgotten about Peter Parker’s existence but because I am an ai, my programming in intact,” Friday responded.
“At least you remember me,” Peter said wishfully.
“You seem in distress Peter, would you like me to activate the ‘baby-spider needs comfort’ protocol and call Mr. Stark to calm you down,” Friday askes.
“No Friday, to him im just a stranger,” Peter responded. He used to be upset with the name but now he loves it because it reminds him of tony.
“My bad, I will add it to my code that everyone who knew of Peter Parker previously does not remember,” Friday responded.
“Do you have any camera footage of me and Mr. Stark in the tower? Just so I can rewatch a good memory,” Peter hesitantly asked Friday.
“I have a few clips that should improve your mood,” Friday responded
”Peter wake up, you have school,” tony said he he tried to shake Peter awake.
”5 more minutes dad,” Peter grumbled in his sleep.
An impossiblely wide smile grew on Tony’s face when he realized Peter called him dad.
”Friday please save that last clip,” tony whispered, trying not to wake Peter.
“huh I didn’t know he recorded that,” Peter chuckled, happy there there was at least a small record of his past life.
“Hey kid what’s wrong,” tony asked concerned.
”Flash was being mean and Ned and mj were sick so I was all alone at school today,” Peter cried.
”It’s okay, come here,” tony said and he stroked his hair.
”Thanks dad,” Peter said, smiling at tony.
Peter smiled as he watched the clips.
“thank you friday,” Peter thanked the ai with a smile on his face. A real genuine happy smile. “I miss you dad,” Peter said sadly as he walked away. Peter was happy he got some closure.
While a certain superhero overheard the whole thing and his heart broke.
No this can’t be real, how is this random kid somehow close with him when he dosnt even know his name.
“Friday, who was that kid,” tony asked his ai.
“He has requested to remain just an intern to everyone,” Friday responded.
“Friday,” tony said warningly.
“His name is Peter Parker and according to video clips you were in the process of adopting him. Until recently when it seems everyone forgot who he was,” Friday informed.
“Why did everyone forgot who he was,” tony asked, a sick feeling in his stomach. Just watching the video clips Peter was watching, tony dose not want to think that he lost his son.
“I am not entirely sure, but based on the fact I still have a record of him, I can conclude it was magic from Dr. Strange,” Friday reasoned.
“Friday, show me all the clips you have of me and this Peter Parker,” tony ordered.
“Of course boss,” Friday complied.
After seeing how close he was to the kid, he decided to go to Dr. Strange to restore his memory.
After Dr. Strange restored his memory of Peter, tony was crushed. How could the kid not say anything? He must have felt so alone.
Tony quickly went down to the intern labs to get Peter.
All eyes were on him as he came into the lab, surprised that the tony stark came to the intern labs.
“Peter come with me,” tony instructed.
“Mr. Stark, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” Peter greeted with enthusiasm. He couldn’t believe he was face to face with his mentor again.
“Mr. Stark really? Do you not remember we’re past that? And I though I was one who forgot everything,” tony laughed.
“What- how-,” Peter stared to say.
“Dr. Strange could reverse his spell,” tony responded with a smile.
“I missed you dad,” Peter said quietly, almost a whisper.
“Missed you too kiddo,” tony responded, locking Peter in an embrace, not caring who saw.
