It's the evening, you and Miles just returned from a cafe date, still talking and joking around with each other until you both walk into a park. Its dark, there are no children and their parents to bother them both while they converse.
They both decided to sit on the swings, still looking at each other and talking.
“Isn't the night sky pretty?” you look up at the sky, admiring the stars. They usually couldn’t be seen in the city but today was a special day, all the stars aligned for this moment to happen.
“I haven't seen them in awhile” Miles smiles and looks at you
“Is something on my face?”
Miles waves his arms, saying ‘no’ and starts swinging on the swing
“This marks our third date” miles points out
“I didn’t think I’d get this far” he chuckles
The conversation continues for awhile, the atmosphere becoming more light and soft, and miles’ swinging gets slower
“Miles, do you think we can you know-”
“Kiss?”
“Yeah, do you think we can…?” you both look into each other’s eyes, waiting for Miles’ answer.
“It’s alright if you don't want to, I completely understand!”
“Yes please” he mumbles
You look at him and smile, he stops swinging completely. You both lean in closer to each other, both a little awkward and both a little embarrassed. After what feels like forever, your lips finally touch and the movies and books definitely weren’t exaggerating, there were sparks flying, the butterflies couldn't even fathom the idea of resting, and it felt so magical.
You both pull away and look down embarrassed
“Well that was-”
“Amazing”
Miles finishes, with a huge smile on his face, he holds the chains of the swing again and starts swinging again, this time much happier.
He giggles like a middle school boy in love, well he is a high school boy in love.
“That kiss was so perfect” he laughs, swinging as high as he can reach, he can't contain his happiness. This moment truly felt as if the stars aligned.
