Summary
After a long day, Miguel finds him on top of a roof, accompanied by his "favorite" jewel thief. The view would be such a romantic sight. It's a real shame they are sharing it rather than some couple that'd appreciate it.
Note
I'd like to thank Pookie Smookie for actually getting me to write this lmao love you boo

Miguel sighed, his arms resting against the ledge of the roof he found himself on top of with his Black Cat, Ei, as she sat upon the ledge he leaned on. His eyes glanced between her and the sky. The way the orange and pink hues of the day melted into the dark blues and purples of the night sky. It certainly was a rather romantic view… too bad rather than two that would enjoy it, it was him and her. He let out a small sigh as he stood up straight, catching the pink-haired woman’s attention. “A view, tailor-made for two… Such a shame the two are you and I.” He muttered, his eyes now glued to the view before them. The woman laughed softly as she rolled her eyes, though she was curious about where he was going with this. “And we’ve got no shot. You’re not the type for me.”

“Really?” Ei chimed in, her lashes fluttering slightly in shock at his bluntness.

“There’s not a spark in sight,” He hummed before teasingly booping her nose, catching her off guard. “What a waste of a perfect night.”

“You say there’s nothing here,” she laughed, turning to him. “But let’s make one thing clear. I think I’ll be the one to make that call.” She hummed,

“Then what’s your call?” Miguel asked, his mask fading as he looked into her eyes.

Ei shut her eyes, leaning to the side opposite to him, a small hum of thought leaving her. She then stood up and began walking along the ledge as Miguel followed her along. “Though you looked so cute in your spandex suit-”

“It’s a hologram, but sure.” He laughed, watching as she rolled her eyes, still gracefully walking along the ledge of the building.

“But you’re right, I’d never fall for you at all.” She hummed. The belt-like tail of her suit seemed to swish a bit as she ran one of her clawed hands through the thick city air. “Maybe this appeals to someone not in heels or any girl that feels there’s some chance for romance.” She continued hopping off the ledge and circling him for a moment. She gently ran her claw-like nails along his jaw as she walked along his side. “But, I’m frankly feeling nothing.”

“Is that so?” He chuckled, gently grabbing her hand and gently pulling her closer to his chest. Ei placed the hand not entwined with his on his chest as she looked into his eyes, her holding a somewhat mischievous gleam.

“Or,” she trailed off, pretending to look off in thought. “It could be less than nothing.”

“Good to know, so you agree?” Miguel softly muttered, bringing her gloved hand to his lips to place a kiss on the back of it.

“That’s right.” She returned, trying not to laugh at the man for such a gesture.

“What a waste of a lovely night.” They both chimed in unison. The two then laughed as they seemed to enjoy one another company for the moment. It was like nothing else around them mattered. That was until Miguel spoke up once more.

“Hate to rain on your parade, Cat. But, you know I have to take you in for that necklace you’re acting like I didn’t notice you stole… Right?” He muttered, looking over her.

“Oh, I know. But that’s only if you catch me, Spidey!” She cooed. To throw Miguel off his game just a little, she pressed a kiss to his cheek before taking off. Her laugh filled the air as Miguel stood there dumbfounded for a moment.

“That damn cat is going to be the death of me…” He muttered as his mask reappeared and he took off after her in yet another game of chase.

Maybe… just maybe this wasn’t a waste of a lovely night after all…
