14 Leaves - Leafeon and reader (Pokemon)
You sighed into a coffee cup, enjoying the spiced pumpkin steam warming the tip of your nose. You swung your arms feeling the autumn breeze brush against you as you walked through the paved out path to the next town. You look up to your feathered friend that’s been flying at you’re side since the very start of your journey to champion. They fly down to your height, tilting their head as you rub a hand over their beak affectionately with your other hand.
They squawk affectionately as they take their place back in the sunset sky above. You squint your eyes as you walk under some liquid amber trees. You really didn’t fancy having a Forretress leading on your head after all.
Soon the orange sky dimmed to a deep indigo. Coffee long abandoned you prayed to reach the next town in time to find an Inn to get a good night’s sleep. In your pondering a pile of leaves snuck up on you as you fell into the cocoon of rusty brown leaves, the crunch of the many leaves mocking your embarrassing display. With a huff you sit up to see a strange looking Pokémon. They were a light tan, their limbs consisting of cut up green leaves and somehow youthful sparkling brown eyes.
The creature began to almost giggle in a yipping sound as it jumped away, swaying it’s leaf-like tail teasingly. “Come back here!” You laughed as you began to chase the Pokémon. You passed many trees, and bushes and paths and benches until the Pokémon stopped at the edge of a slope and circled into a seating position. “G-GOT-CHA!” You said as your eyes widened.
In front of your eyes was a twinkling sea of light, the next town you realized. The pokemon looked up at you as the light made their eyes sparkle like tiger’s eye. You pulled out you’re Pokedex that scanned the picture who sneezed cutely “Leafeon the leaf pokemon, evolved from Eevee.” The automatic voice rang out
“So Leafeon huh? You asked as the Leafeon yipped cutely you hummed as you scrolled the entry “according to these you’re a boy! You’re a cute little guy aren’t ya” You hesitantly raised a hand as the pokemon moved it’s head under your hand nuzzling against you.
You grabbed the spare pokeball in your bag “What about it friend?” You asked as the pokemon softly headbutted the ball to open it. A click later you had another new lifelong friend.
