5 Graveyard - Chuuya x Dazai (Bungou Stray Dogs)
“MACKREL! We’ve been looking all over for your ass! Why the fuck are you here shitty Dazai?” Chuuya trailed off, his hands planted firmly on his hips as he looked at the other. He’d never admit it but he looked beautiful like this, with his fluffy brown hair cascading down the gravestone; his russet brown eyes shining in the sunset… “Aw what a loyal dog! Even following me to the Graveyard!” Dazai cooed smirking as his ex-partner’s cheeks began to match his flaming locks. “I only came because BOTH our bosses need your LANKY ASS for debrief in an hour.” The ginger huffed realizing Dazai wasn’t moving anytime soon. He plopped down in defeat next to the detective.
They stayed like that for a second, but for the pair it might as well have been hours. Chuuya’s gaze couldn’t help but wonder to the initials of the grave stone, the same as always. “You still come to visit him? After all this time?” He asked trying not to let the sympathy bleed into his voice. Dazai’s eyes widened causing Chuuya’s to widen in turn. It was near impossible to catch the ex-Mafioso by surprise. He quickly corrected his expression to his typical teasing smile as he replied “Well I know if I come here I get to see both my best friend and my best little puppy!” He cheered as a breeze nearly snatched his hat away. Instinctively the gravity-user jumped up to sprint for his missing headgear. Swiftly catching it and returning back to Dazai’s side with a heavy sigh.
The sun begun to settle down, leaning back to glare at the duo. “If we take much longer we’re BOTH getting our asses kicked. And I’m not gonna take an ass-whooping because of you.” Chuuya Spoke as Dazai outright giggled in his face. “We both know that’s a lie chibiiii~. You say that but you aren’t moving from this very spot!” Chuuya began to growl in heated embarrassment at the correct observation! “Awww what a loyal dog staying beside me, we will go soon enough!” Dazai teased, his thumbs ghosting under cerulean eyes.
A bristling noise echoed, almost in the back of his mind as a blurred kimono of white and orange floated into his peripheral vision. “Chuuya what are you doing out here? Debrief was an hour ago?” Chuuya immediately recognized the voice as Koyo as his head whipped to face her. “I WOULD have been there on time if stupid Dazai here didn’t make us late to everything!” He glared at his ex-partner who seemed to be smiling silently.
Koyo could only nod as she felt her eye’s water. “Well tell him you have to come home soon.” She said turning away. She couldn’t watch Chuuya in the graveyard. Talking to the stone named “Dazai Osamu.”
