Chapter 2
X-Men: Evolution Revolution Season 01 Episode 02
We see that there was a girl who had her hair in a pony tail and bangs on either side of her face floating through a city and the suddenly falling hitting down with a hard thump. We see that the girl was now in a room and an older man and woman had come down into room using the stairs worried.
"What happened, were you sleepwalking?" The man questioned worried as the woman had hugged the younger girl.
"No I fell, I fell through the ceiling." She'd told them hugging the woman freaking out about whatever was going on.
"Oh dear, I'm sure you were just having a nightmare." The woman spoke gently stroking the girl's hair.
The man looked up at the ceiling and responds "I. don't. think so." The man stated and we see that a blanket and pillow were dangling from the ceiling as if they'd just been pulled through it entirely.
"W-what's going on? Am I possibly Metahuman?" The girl questioned worried about if that might be possible or not.
We then cut to seeing the Professor with a device on his head in front of a computer that showed the girl from earlier that feel through the floor. He then removes the device and sets it onto a spot on the controls before pressing a button and stating "Prep the Blackbird."
Sometime later on we then see the girl wearing a pink shirt and jeans sneaking out with a backpack on and the woman had come from the kitchen hearing the door stating "Dear, I thought we agreed you were staying home today."
"What's the point, you guys don't wanna talk about it and I'll go totally crazy sitting around here!" The Girl stated about why she was leaving. "I can't just sit around to wait for the plumbers to come out and tell me if I'm some kind of Metahuman or not."
"Kitty, where are you?" The man from earlier called out asking where the girl had gone off to calling her by name.
"Please mom, Dad will make me stay." The girl, Kitty, had pleaded to the woman revealed to be her mother about going before the man, revealed to be her dad, wouldn't let her.
Kitty's mom had turned towards where the voice of her dad had come from before back to her saying "Alright, go on."
Kitty blew her mom a kiss and then ran off to go to school so that she wouldn't go stir crazy at home. We then cut to Jean alongside the professor in a large black jet with Hunter sitting behind them with the redhead questioning "Okay, so why again hasn't hunter started attending Bayville High, and why just the two of us exactly?"
"You are the one who can best connect with this girl Jean." The Professor answered back about why she'd been taken too.
"I've actually got an alternate schooling routine for now and won't be starting School until I complete the last of it here in a week or two." Hunter then answered as well about why he's going. "That, and I have special Plumber privileges thanks to my family. I made a few calls, and got us cleared to check out the possible new Metahumans. Though of course we know they're Mutant and not Meta."
"Okay, so I'm checking out the girl, is Hunter going to check out the guy in the foster home that Cerebro discovered?" Jean questioned next though she was a little surprised about Hunter's plumber connections.
"Let me worry about that one, You and Hunter will be focusing on the girl. Remember you're models of what we're offering them, but no pressure." The Professor then answered back about that.
"And to think I passed up a nice relaxing midterm for this." Jean stated to herself falling back into her chair with her arms crossed and her hands on her elbows.
We then jump straight to them speaking with Kitty's parents and her mom says "We were expecting a Plumber to come out."
"That would be me." Hunter stated to them about what's going on showing that he actually did have a Plumber badge. "Most Plumbers tend to wear street clothes rather than the standard issue armor unless on specifically hazardous missions such as an area with high radiation. This is Professor Xavier, he'll be discussing things with you two here. Jean and I will go to make contact with Kitty at her school."
"Now, I believe you know that Kitty has started going through a very unique transition. We simply wish to help her through it, now how about you tell us about what happened last night." The Professor spoke asking about what happened as Hunter left with Jean.
Cutting back to Kitty she was at her locker as a bell had rang and two girls had shoved them into it turning the dial to make it lock. "Hey, let me out you jerks!" She'd demanded banging on the door trying to get out and accidentally phased through the door and into a guy who was vandalizing the place with a can of spray-paint.
"Whoa, you just fell straight through the door. You're just like me." The guy then stated sort of excitedly though she'd given him a funny look. "Alright I'll prove it." The guy then held out his open hands and began to move as if he was struggling and caused the place to start to shake and forced all the lockers to open up. "Cool huh?" He'd then questioned.
"Uh, more like dangerous." Kitty answered back not wanting to be around him and then began to run off not liking what he'd just done.
Kitty had accidentally bumped into Jean but then kept running off going to the auditorium and kicking a chair that had been set up and tried to sit down on a table but accidentally knocked it over making the fruit bowl fly up into the air. She'd tried to catch it but it phased through her hands. She'd tried to touch the bowl finding it solid once it had hit the ground and then tried to phase through managing to make her hand slip past the bowl and floor.
We see that Jean and Hunter were outside the room with the latter stating "The Professor failed to mention that she was cute. Let me try talking to her, it is my job after all."
"I still can't believe you're already a plumber." Jean stated with a nod giving him the go ahead to try.
Hunter then went in calling "Kitty Pryde?" getting the girl's attention and she'd pulled her hand away from the bowl. "Easy, I'm here to help. My name is Hunter Long, I'm the Plumber that your parents had called for, and judging from what I just saw that definately confirms it."
"So what I'm like, a metahuman?" Kitty then questioned him about just what was going on with her now.
"Mutant actually, there's a variation of the Metagene called the Mutant X-Gene that awakens usually around the teenage years unless something causes it to wake up early." Hunter answered back going over to speak with her. "There's a special place that teaches mutants to how to manage these abilities, it's completely voluntary and no one will force you to go."
"What is it like a Plumber facility, because those places are seriously "Cold, Sterile, and boring aside from the controls and the labs, don't I know it?"" She'd began to ask him about where he was talking about but he'd cut her off about how bad plumber bases were. "But no, this place is a mansion close to the sea so there's a beach fairly close. We also have a pool."
"That sounds more like it's someone's house than a school." Kitty then answered back about the place he was describing.
"It is, the Professor converted his house into a school to teach mutants to be able to properly control their powers." Hunter stated to her explaining how it was built in the first place. "Still has everything a Plumber Facility has though, but all that is mostly underground."
"It's hard enough being normal, and now you want me to go somewhere that I'd have to start completely over without any friends." She'd spoken taking a mask off the wall and trying to hide her face behind it.
"You won't be completely alone there." He answered back while moving the mask down from over her face and placing his hand over her chin resting it on top of his thumb and index finger making her look up at him. "I live there, you can consider me your first friend there if you decide you wanna go."
"HEY, BACK UP OFF OF HER!" The guy Kitty had encountered earlier called out and began to make the place shake causing parts of the set to fall apart freaking her out even more than he did before.
Hunter immediately wrapped one arm around the small of Kitty's back stating "Hang onto me alright?" and sees that she was still starting to seriously freak out so he made her look at him again calmly while looking her in the eyes saying "Don't worry you'll be safe with me, I promise."
Something about his sincerity made Kitty calm down a little and she'd wrapped her arms around his neck with the two then teleporting out of the room in a puff of smoke before then reappearing outside the room next to Jean while the guy screamed out angry. "Jean, get Kitty out of the building, I'll handle Mr. Broody."
"Wait!" Kitty began to call after he'd let her go reaching out for him but he'd already teleported with a Bamf sound and Jean helped her get out of the building.
Teleporting in behind the guy Hunter then says "You're dangerous you know that, maybe you should try channeling that into something productive." as they'd started to turn towards him, however before the guy could do so he'd struck them in the back of the neck rendering them unconscious. "You're definitely not ready for the X-Men yet."
Finally we then see that Jean, Kitty, and Hunter, all managed to make it out safely and they'd taken her on back home to talk to her parents and The Professor about Kitty now wanting to join them at the school after everything that happened.
