Been There, Kicked Ass

Peter quickly walked into an alley, looking around to see if anyone was watching.

He touched his watch, enabling his spider suit to form around him. He checked his web shooters, making sure they were filled and ready to go. The teen swung up to the roof of the building, looking around at the large structures around him.

Peter took a deep breath, preparing himself to swing back to the Avengers tower. He had lived in the Avengers tower for around 6 months now, ever since May had died in a car crash. Every time Aunt May popped into his head, Peter felt a twinge in his chest. It still hurts every day, just not as much as it used to.

Peter winced as he remembered the first days after her death, how he had wallowed around in sadness and depression, with only Tony and the other Avengers there to help him.

The teen sighed, checking his web shooters and sending a web out to a close building.
It was times like these when it was the worst. When he was all alone with nobody to comfort him. Peter swung from building to building until he saw the telltale skyscraper that was the Avengers tower.

He swung onto a balcony that Tony had constructed after Peter had slammed into a window that he thought was open, and walked inside the tower.

The teen gazed around at the Avengers common room.

“F.R.I.D.A.Y? Where are the Avengers?” He asked, almost sheepishly.

“The Avengers are in the training room” Peter cursed inwardly.
He had already missed enough training sessions with the Avengers, due to injuries, and he did not want to miss anymore than he had to.

He quickly got onto a nearby elevator, and as it rose up into the sky, a multitude of thoughts coursed through his head.

The thoughts kept circling back to Adrian, and how he was going to be the next sorcerer supreme. It was a foreign thought, to have your life simply laid out like that at such a young age.

Peter’s thoughts drifted to Adrian's pale white hair, and his bright blue eyes like deep pools.
Peter shook his head to clear it. Why was he thinking about him? He didn’t look that good. Right? Peter felt all the blood rush to his face, making it beet red. There was no way he liked this guy he had just met!

Peter was pulled from his thoughts as the elevator dinged, signaling his arrival on the training level. He stepped out of the elevator, his face still flaming in embarrassment.
He had been here hundreds of times, but it still sent him in awe every time.

The ceiling was high, with crisscrossing beams that are not only for support but also a great way to travel on the ceiling.

On the back left was an obstacle course that could be shifted and changed with a touch pad nearby. Around the obstacle course was a track, nobody liked to run on it but it was still vital to the team.

In the right back corner was a deep swimming pool.
It was a lot rarer that they used that, but when they did it was always an exciting experience.
In the corner on the right that was closest to where Peter stood now, was the weights.

Every time the Avengers did the training sessions, unlike the pool and the obstacle course, they would always incorporate weights into their training. Peter's eyes darted to the middle of the area, where the Avengers were now.

In the middle of the room was a sparring area, with five different mats for sparring, four of them were placed in a square shape, and the bigger one was in the middle. The Avengers were split in pairs and sparring separately.
Natasha was in a brawl with Clint, who was losing terribly. Steve and Bucky were locked in their own fight, which was scarily intense.
Tony was standing off to the side, his face red. Wanda was currently in a hand to hand fight with Sam, who was giving her pointers on how to fight.

“Hey kid,” Peter’s head jerked to Tony, who was standing, his breathing heavy.

“Wanna hop in? We're getting our asses kicked by Natasha."

Peter felt a wave of excitement course through him.

“Yeah sure!” He said cheerfully.

“Do you want me to suit up?” He asked

Tony shook his head.

“Not yet, but we are doing the obstacle course today”

Peter perked up, excitement jittering through him. He nodded quickly

“Okay, yeah, who do you want me to spar first?” Tony chuckled at his energy as the other Avengers began to notice the teen had arrived

“Hey Peter!” Clint called out

“Come help me over here, I'm getting killed!” Peter let out a laugh

“I can tell,” He quipped back. Tony practically beamed with pride as Peter made the witty response, after all he had taught the teen that.

Steve and Bucky began to walk over where a small crowd was forming.

“Ok guys, now that Peter has joined us, some of us actually have to spar.” He shot a pointed look at Tony, who raised his hands defensively.

A small chuckle rippled through the group, Peter quickly joining them, much to Tony’s dismay.

“Ok, I’ll spar with Bucky, Natasha and Wanda have a go,” Steve paused for a moment

“Sam and Peter, and Tony and Clint” Steve had taken the role of the leader for the team, and nobody but Tony had objected.

Peter stepped onto the sparring mat, Sam closely following him.

“Go easy on me, I'm a old man” Sam said, chuckling.

Peter made a face

“You're like 27” Peter said, smiling.

Sam immediately looked offended.

“I’m 24!” He cried out.

“Exactly,” Peter responded, sticking his tongue out at Sam, who scoffed.

Sam’s face suddenly turned serious

“You ready to fight?” Peter nodded quickly, a small smirk forming on his face.

“Born ready.” Sam rolled his eyes, and then they began to spar.
