Not all things that glitters are gold.
He found that true when he found the glistening grave.
A display case to his love Opaline.
A planet made of crystal.
Scarlet littered on the scene.
Not a single being heard the crescendo of his scream.
Weeping face soon bathed in light.
A color in a shade to spite.
Of sky blue as lovely as the crystal she gave him.
No more treasures tumbled from her lips.
Another loved one now to miss.
