Shock
Rocket woke up in a cell that let him see clearly into a torture room, and he was already preparing to deal with whatever interrogation style his captors had when he watched as Avery was strapped to a chair. Rocket was able to start remembering what happened before this point, Avery and him were on a date as the girls spent time with their Poppa Phil as they removed all traces of the girls existence from Hydra as well as the Weapons X Project. Apparently they got so absorbed in trying to make sure their daughters remained safe that they forgot to be mindful of their own safety and someone got the drop on them leading to the situation they found themself in.
Rocket watched in horror as they strung Avery up chest bare as Hydra members interrogated them trying to use the nudity as an easy way to make Avery uncomfortable. They obviously didn’t study their target if they thought that would work and Rocket would have chuckled if he wasn’t so terrified for Avery’s safety. His fear intensified as he watched one of the people in the room bring out a cattle prod to force Avery to answer their questions rather than stay silent.
Rocket screamed when he saw the first application of powerful shocks to Avery’s body causing xer to spasm painfully. This pattern continued for a further ten minutes before the pair of Hydra agents decided to leave the room, most likely to strategies before trying to deal with him. His voice felt raw from the screams he had let out , and the sobbing that had followed hadn’t helped anything. He was going to make those assholes pay for hurting his family, his mate, it didn’t matter that he never said that to Avery and the two of you were still just Co-parents it was how he felt.
Looking over at Avery slumped forward covered in a sheen of sweat, skin marred from where the cattle had been pressed against their skin adding another scar to the collection.
He was going to get the both of you out of this mess if it was the last thing he did.
