Not Ready
We currently see the group swinging towards a building nearby a school... they all land and stick to the wall.
Adande: This is it...
Peter: How'd you know where to look...
Adande: He talked about Physics when we first met, so I figured that he was in school still...
Gwen: Right... That's where we met...
Adande begins crawling up towards the window and opens it only for him to dodge a book...
Adande: Woah...
Adande then quickly webs it and throws it back, he then climbs up and enters the window to see Miles with the book in hand...
Adande slowly approached Miles with the rest following behind...
Adande: Hey Miles...
Peter: Hey kid, you alright?
Miles wipes his eyes and sniffles... Peter puts a hand on his shoulder.
Peter: We know how you feel Miles, we all do... you know for me... It was my Uncle Ben
Noir puts his hand on his other shoulder...
Spider-Man Noir: For me, it was my Uncle Benjamin...
Peni: For me it was my Father...
Gwen: For me... It was my friend...
Spider-Ham: Miles the hardest part about this job, Is you can't save everyone...
Miles: It was my fault, you guys wouldn't understand...
Gwen: Miles, I'm pretty sure we're the only people who do understand...
Miles clenches his fist...
Miles: I gotta make Kingpin pay...
He begins walking towards the window before being stopped...
Miles: Get out of my way AJ...
Adande puts a hand on Miles shoulder...
Miles: Let go of me man...
Miles starts pushing Adande away, but he stood his ground...
Adande: Miles stop...
Miles: Just let me go!
Adande was holding Miles down by his shoulders, Miles still struggling and pushing Adande...
Adande: Miles stop it!
Miles: GET OUTTA MY WAY MAN-
Adande: GOD DAMNIT I SAID STOP!
Adande lifts Miles and pins him against wall, Miles sees Adande gritting his teeth...
Peter: Woah AJ relax-
Gwen stops Peter, she gestures him to listen...
Adande: I know what it's like... believe me all of us do, but don't go down this road Miles! Once you cross this bridge there's no going back... I know because...
Adande looks down...
Adande: Because... I... I went through that bridge...
Everyone including Miles eyes widen, Miles expression softens...
Adande: And when I did... I lost... I lost,
My friends, my family, the group of people that accepted me for who I am, everything Miles!
Everyone was silent...
Adande: At some point... I just... I stopped pulling my punches... I got rageful.. I got bitter..
Adande puts Miles down...
Adande: And I just don't want you... to end up, like me.
Miles stood silent before looking up at Adande, nodding...
Miles: Sorry...
Adande: It's fine-
Suddenly they all heard footsteps approaching the door before someone was turning the doorknob... the group quickly bunch up together onto the ceiling and enters Miles roommate Ganke listing to music on his headphones, he sits on the chair in the room, reading a comic book before spinning the chair around...
Peter: This way...
They all shift one way towards the other side before Ganke turns again.
Peter: Other way! Other way!
But ultimately Ganke looks up from his book and freezes to see all of them on the ceiling... there was a brief moment of silence...
Miles: Hey there...
Spider-Ham: Do animals talk in this dimension? Cause I don't wanna freak him out...
Ganke then faints... Adande sighs
Adande: Great...
Peter: AJ, we need to talk... now
After getting Ganke onto the bed of the dorm, Miles looks up to see Gwen climbing out the window, only Adande and Peter remain... Miles looks around confused
Miles: What's going on ?
Gwen: Bye Miles...
Gwen climbs out the window...
Peter: AJ, step outside...
Adande: What? I thought we-
Peter: Just go, I need to speak to Miles...
Adande: No Peter that wasn't apart of the-
Peter: I need to be alone with Miles...
Adande stood there for a bit before leaping out the window alongside the other Spiders... hanging onto the wall, Gwen crawls near him...
Adande: Unbelievable...
Gwen: Just let them talk...
Adande didn't say anything... only listening to the conversation
Peter: Miles, I'm here to say goodbye...
Miles: We can say bye at the Collider...
Peter: You're not getting it, you're staying here...
Miles: I need to be there, So you can all go home...
Peter: They are going home, I'm the only one staying...
Miles: You're taking my place ? If you stay here you'll die.
Peter: I'm doing what has to be done, I just wanted you to hear it from me...
Miles: What about MJ?
Peter looks at the floor...
Peter: Not everything works out kid, I need the goober... please don't make me take it from you
Miles backs up furious...
Miles: That's not fair, you've gotta tell them I can do this!
Peter: It wasn't their decision...
Miles: I have to stop Kingpin, I have to make him pay for my uncle!
Peter: Miles you're gonna get yourself killed...
Miles: But I'm ready, I promise-
Peter legs sweeps Miles of the ground then holds him by his shirt...
Peter: Then venom strike me right now or turn invisible so you can get passed me...
Miles tries to do what Peter was asking but nothing happens... the other spiders listen from outside the window
Spider-Man Noir: Poor little guy...
Adande just looks down in silence...
Peter: Look I know how much you want this kid, but you don't have it yet...
Peter sits Miles down, only for him to put Miles into a desk chair and web him up into a cocoon, taking the Goober out of his hands...
Peter: I'm sorry...
Miles turns the chair around...
Miles: How do I know I'm ready-
Peter webs Miles mouth....
Peter: You won't... it's a leap of faith. That's all it is Miles...
Peter steps out the window and webs swings onto a roof while the others followed but Adande stayed for a few seconds extra looking at Miles before following the group, leaving Miles alone...
But not without speaking his mind...
They land on the roof, Adande approaches Peter...
Adande: Peter, what was that?
Peter: What?
Adande: You said that we talk to Miles together-
Peter: You only would've said something to him... he needed to understand the situation.
Adande: Understand what ?!
Peter: That he isn't ready yet for this stuff...
Adande was getting furious now...
Adande: Not ready!? That's bullshit.
Gwen: AJ please-
Adande: No Gwen, I'm not going to sit here and pretend everything's okay... You lied to me Peter and you made Miles feel even worse-
Peter: I'm making him understand his choices-
Adande: You don't get to decide that !
Peni was starting to get scared...
Peni: Guys, please stop...
Spider-Man Noir: Fellas you're upsetting the girl... enough of this-
Peter: Stay out of this Noir...
Peter turns to Adande...
Peter: Look, your young and wouldn't understand-
Adande: Don't give me that shit!
Peter was getting frustrated...
Peter: You know what Adande let me ask you something, why do you care so much!? Huh, why are you trying so hard - WHEN YOU DONT EVEN WANT TO BE SPIDER-MAN ANYMORE!
Everyone went silent...
Gwen: He... what?
Adande: Yeah, why don't ya say it again but louder so everyone in the city can hear!
Peter: What's stopping me...
Adande retracts his talons, bio electricity coursing through his body... Gwen quickly jumps In between them.
Gwen: Guys knock it off! This isn't what we do!
Adande stares at Gwen, before putting away his talons...
Adande: You know what Peter, your right, I might not want to be Spider-Man anymore, but I can't exactly do that right now... We all know what Miles is going through ! And yet we push him away ! No one stopped us when we went through similar situations-
Peter: That's different, we didn't have anyone back then-
Adande: That doesn't matter ! Listen Peter you might be older but that doesn't mean you get the right to make every decision, We're suppose to be a team ! Because we all understand each other's feelings and problems... that's what makes us strong...
Everyone looks down...
Adande: If we can't trust and help each other... then I'm out.
Adande then web swings away...
Gwen: AJ wait!
Adande was out of sight, Gwen was about to swing after him but was stopped by Peter...
Peter: Let him... we gotta get to the collider.
Gwen almost ignored his demand... but ultimately let's it go... the group swings towards the collider.
