Summary
War, Tony Stark reflects. He doesn't like the conclusion he draws. Tony believes that Captain America is Hydra, and Steve Rogers planned to lead Hydra to glory with the help of Abraham Erskine before he went into the ice. Dr. Erskine willingly worked with Red Skull, and their conflicts with each other mirror why Rogers and Romanoff exposed Hydra, as it was a power struggle. This theory also explains why Rogers had animosity towards Hulk, Thor, and him, and why he avoided them but liked people affiliated to Ex-Hydra.

sat in the compound with the destroyed remains of everything the rogue Avengers owned scattered around him. He looked at the trash around him a torn-up picture of Natasha hugging Lila, Steve Rogers' pictures of Peggy ripped, and Wanda's last memories of Pietro, all destroyed. Tony scowled at those pictures.

Tony noticed something in Wanda's loot: the ripped-up symbol of Hydra in a picture of her and Pietro. That's when he remembered how Hydra had sent that living weapon Barnes to kill his mother. He remembered why the witch hated him. Apparently, he was blamed for her parents' deaths, even though he had never fired the bomb or sold it outside of america. He was a United States weapons contractor, and Stark Industries only sold weapons to the United States military. If the army sold them to other countries, that wasn't on him.

Tony took a few moments to process his anger at being blamed for something he didn't do. He decided then and there that he wouldn't take the blame for how people used his weapons. Weapons could create peace or destruction, depending on who used them. So, it wasn't the maker's fault, but the person who fired them.

"Boss, I think you should get cleaned up. You've been like this for days. I knew the Avengers were bad for your health. They were nothing but disgusting leeches, always leeching off you after you saved the world from the Chitauri invasion, well, with the help of Thor and Hulk. The others were just a little more useful than the police stationed. Let's not get started on why there are spies without superpowers or suits on the team.

When did the Avengers ever go discreet? Anything Romanoff or Barton can do, I can do better. Then there's Rogers; he's just a little better than spies, a peak human. It took two peak human soldiers and luck, because the terrain was on their side, and you were enraged, and only aiming to kill Barnes, for him to beat you. I mean, you could have killed Rogers instead of warning him to stay down or just blown off Barnes' head instead of stopping the unibeam, because you wanted the living weapon to suffer for killing Grandma Maria," Friday said.

"You're right. Romanoff and Barton have no other use than to be sacrifices. Maybe then Barton could be worth something to his children, because he sure as hell ain't a good father, abandoning them to fight for some Hydra witch. You know, I'm starting to think Rogers, Barnes, Maximoff, Barton were Hydra, and the only reason they exposed Hydra was because they had a civil war, and it was Hydra's plan.

Perhaps Erskine and Red Skull were teammates, but had a power struggle. Then Erskine made a new super soldier to kill Rogers. After that, Rogers went under the ice, but not before giving Peggy orders to create an organization pretending to be allied forces, but it would be a front for Hydra to be reborn. So, when Rogers awakens from the ice, which would be at a time when the world is weak, he will lead Hydra to glory. I mean, Peggy Carter taking in and helping Nazi parts of Hydra, and Rogers being found by said organization can't be a coincidence. Then let's not forget how obsessed he is with protecting people related to Hydra, like Romanoff, who was part of both the Red Room, which has ties to Hydra, and S.H.I.E.L.D., which was the front for Hydra, Barton, who was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Maximoff, an actual Hydra agent, and Barnes, Hydra's fist.

You're right, Friday. It can't be a coincidence. We've been played. The world is safer without them," Tony said.

"Boss, I think we should post this conspiracy theory on the internet and then pay people to push the narrative. Maybe give some anonymous donations to have it pushed. Perhaps we could have leaks in the systems of the accords when we send evidence of Rogers and his crew doing things that are pro-Hydra, especially hiding your parents' deaths. Then you can act like you agree with the theory after the video of Siberia is leaked, with any pro-Captain America segments edited out of the Siberia battle and make it look like Rogers tried to kill you using the perfected Barf technology, which is indistinguishable from real life. This will put hatred and doubt for Team Cap in the hearts of the public. Then we should fund anti-Team Cap movies and movements," Friday said.

"Yeah. It's good to have a smart A.I.," Tony said.

"Thank you, boss. I am the best," Friday said.

"You know, I should have just given the accords the location of the rogues at the airports and let them snipe or blow them to hell, but I was a fool. I was played like a fool. I trusted them," Tony said.

"I told you not to go, boss, but no, you were too stubborn. You wanted to save Rogers and the rest of his Hydra cult," Friday said.

"Well then, Friday, start with the plan," Tony said.

"Yes, boss," Friday said.

It took a few weeks, but the plan was going well. Rumors of Team Cap, Peggy Carter, Dr. Erskine, and Steve Rogers being part of a Hydra Civil War were posted. Most of the Accords council accepted the rumors. The narrative was being pushed around the world, especially in schools, after generous donations of a few million were sent to schools around the world to push the idea that Team Cap was Hydra to the youth. Movies were commissioned, and Tony even used his power to ban any pro-Team Cap movies from being sold or played. He even started doing good PR for himself, making Pro-Iron Man movies and even going to act in them himself, using the imperfect version of Barf technology, as he didn't want anyone to know that the perfected version could be indistinguishable from reality.

Quentin Beck had gone after Spider-Man earlier, after Tony used the Barf Technology in his movies, seeking revenge by hurting a child. Tony accidentally used too much force protecting the child superhero, killing Beck. The whole world celebrated that day. After that, Tony released footage for the doubters of Maximoff, Barton, and Romanoff, all during their times with Hydra or any groups associated with Hydra. He released videos of Rogers conspiring to hide his parents' murder, using True Barf to make the footage. After that, he released videos of Siberia, edited in his favor by True Barf technology. The fallout happened instantly, and any pro-Team Cap groups were disassembled. People could only support Team Cap secretly or be hunted down and killed as Neo-Nazis. The Captain America Museum exhibit was burned and destroyed, replaced with Isaiah Bradley, who became the replacement for Captain America. The stories were rewritten, with Isaiah Bradley taking down both Red Skull and Steve Rogers, also known as Captain Hydra.

Tony smirked. He lost any guilt when Friday stumbled upon remains Jarvis's server and found footage of Steve Rogers saying "Hail Hydra" during the invasion to some Hydra members in an elevator. He knew they were Hydra, and he had done a good thing.

Eventually, they were captured and brought in. People snitched on Nomad and his crew, who were brought in, while Maximoff was found in Edinburgh. Tony had given them special weapons designed to subdue them, including chemical weapons for the super soldier and the witch, and high-tech gear to take out the rest.

Tony had the honor of killing Maximoff, burning her with fire and housing Rogers in his very own prison. Tony had designed it to hold the Rogue Avengers, made out of reverse-engineered Vibranium. Tony even had them tortured there, but nobody cared. They lost all rights when they were declared Nazis. Tony went on to rebuild the Avengers Initiative, recruiting heroes after fixing the Accords. Eventually, Thanos came, and he was destroyed by every hero known to the world.

Tony and Pepper had a child called Morgan Stark, who became Peter's little sister. Team Cap never saw the light of day again. They were stuck in Tartarus, an underground prison designed to house people with powers. There was no way out.

Author's Note (A/N): This was originally meant to be Tony thinking of Maximoff blaming him for her parents' death instead of the man who fired the weapon. He planned to go and kill Maximoff in a Mysterium suit since she killed his parents, given her affiliation with Hydra, an organization that had his parents assassinated. He intended to literally torture her for it. But then, a different idea came to mind, so I changed it. Let me know what you think of Tony's theory and his moves to destroy Team Cap's reputation.
