Goemon is a creature of habit.
Rather it was his years of discipline while training to be a swordsman he had a routine while they weren't on a hist. He's the first to wake up, meditates, does a light work out, as some tea, then he trains with his katana.
He actually goes somewhere to train in private, far away from the others and free distraction. Then he would come back and clean his katana. His routine had became known by the others and they had gotten used to it. However, things had started to change.
It had started with his practice with zantetsuken. He had came back late, but his excuse was he had help someone on the way. And since then his training had taken longer. Lupin had tought it funny that Goemons was taken longer then usual but before he gotten to ask they had to go on a hist here and there for a couple of months.
But now that they are back with Amy Goemon routine started up again. The first few days had been usual and nothing out of the ordinary, but he would leave again at some point during the day without telling a soul. "Leave him a lone, maybe he's just taking a walk around the area or finding a new place to train." Jigen said as he look through the news paper. He let out a puff of smoke and focused on the paper before him. The matter of Goemon leaving during different times of the had been the topic on everyone's mind. Mostly Lupin, Amy, and Fujiko. The three had been coming up with ideas all afternoon once they had found out Goemon had left once again. "Your no fun Jigen!" Fujiko huffs. Jigen diddnt pay her anymind and went back to reading the paper."Ya know I think I even saw him smiling when he came back" Lupin adds which make both Amy and Fujiko eyes widen.
"Hey you don't think he's seeing someone?" That made everyone stop. The lone swordsmen in love? Sure enough the door opens and they all scatter. Acting like nothing was going on as Goemon walked in. There seemed going on because he had a bright type of feeling around him. Like he had been rejuvenate and relaxed. They watched him like a hawk for the first few moments. Fujiko spots the smile as he turns around and the look in his eyes."Oh hi ya Goemon! What have you been up too?" Lupin starts out catching Goemon off guard. " Oh just walking around..." and he quickly moves before any other questions are asked.
When they hear the door closed they quickly gather once again. "Our little swordsmen is in love."
"How would you know" Jigen questions.
" You can just tell!" She snapped back.
"Either way something up with him though." Amy spoke up.
"We have to keep an eye on this."
And sure enough for the next three months they finally had an opening. Though nothing had seemed to changed till he got a phone call. Amy had just passed by on her way to the kitchen when she hears Goemon speak.
"No no, it fine I'm not doing anything for the moment." She ducks behind the kitchen door and listens. " I could come over...I don't mind...well I want to make sure your okay." Her eyes widen. He's leaving! Thus could be their only shot to see what's going on! "Hey Amy dont-" she quick to cover Lupin mouth and shush him. He gives her a look but she motions him to be quite and listen.
"Then I'll be on my way over...see you in ten minutes." Both Lupin and Amy look at each other and quickly leave the kitchen to find the others. They needed to move fast before they miss Goemon.
*time skip*
"This feels like we're intruding." Jigen whispers to the others. They were a couple of minutes behind following Goemon through the woods and so far haven't seen a thing. "Will you hush! Hardly anything interesting happens to Goemon thus could be good blackmail." Fujiko huffs. "Though I wish whoever he's going to see didn't leave so far into the woods." She then moves a branch away from her as she moves to follow Lupin and Amy.
Soo enough they do reach a cottage. Which surprises Lupins because the last time he checked there was no one around the area when the chose this place to be the hide out. "I told you I was fine Goemon, you didn't have to come all this way." They hid in the shadows close to a bunch of trees to keep both you from seeing them. Since Goemon was back faced them and blocked the door they couldn't see the person, but they voice sounded masculine. "I wasnt doing anything, and besides your gonna need help."
"Oh alright come on in then."
"I thought you said there wasn't anyone close to us lupin." Jigen spoke up. "There shouldn't be, either way we have to get closer!" The four of them scurried across the yard. The cottage seemed nice, plants grew on the walls with flowers blooming. "Now let me see your hand." They hear Goemon.
"It doesn't look too bad right?"
"It's a deep cut but not life threatening, don't worry."
The four moved to hear better, unknowingly letting someone see the top of their heads. "Goemon...I think there is someone out my house." You whisper. You could have sworn you saw a top of a hat just a minute ago from your kitchen window. Goemons face changes to a more concern look and he's quick to tigh up your wound and look behind him. Your both are quite, watching and waiting for any signs of move moment. "Ow that was my foot you idiot!" The whisper yell sound very familiar, like Fujiko. "Well if you weren't so close I wouldn't have stepped on your foot." He hears Lupins voice and his shoulders drop. Even if he knew the people outside your home weren't bad, they still gave him a headache. "Ah so you know who it is." You whisper to him and he nods, not happy that his friends have disrupted your privacy. You let out a light chuckle and place a kiss onnhis cheek. Making him blush. " bring them inside, before they hurt themselves. I'll make the coffee and gets some sweets out." His cheeks still red he nods not trusting his voice for this moment. He moves to the front door while you hop off the counter and get the water ready for coffee maker along with some plates and cups. You have yet to have met any of Goemons friends, so now that the moment has come you are nervous.
You get the cookies you bought from the town and put them on the plate. "Oi what the big idea!"
You hear a commotion at the door along with people coming in. Goemon enters the kitchen. A grumpy expression on his face as he moves close to you. "It was bound to happen Goemon. Better now then later." He lets out a huff. "Here take the cups and cookies coffee is almost ready." You give him a kiss on the cheek, making him flush just a bit, but he moves doing what you asked as you brought the coffee.
"Dont be rude." Jigen mutters as he takes place in the chair by the fire place. The weather was getting slightly colder and he wanted to warm up. "I'm just looking around... these paintings...there beautiful." Amy looked closely at a still life piece.
"Thank you. Though I still need some work with some of my pieces." Uour voice made her jump as the others looked at you. You and Goemon enter the living room he places the cups and cookies on the coffee table while you put the coffee pot nest to it. "Please help yourself, its not often I get visitors out here."
"Who are you, by the way? I dont think I've ever seen you in this area before." Lupin asked as he fills his cup with coffee. "Sorry, I'm (Y/n) (L/n). This cottage belonged to a relative of mine and well...it's mine now." You sit at the couch next to Goemon who has been quiet since his friends arrival. "And you? I hope you don't make habits of trespassing passing on people's home and easdropping." They get nervous at your world's a bit. "I'm Lupin the third, this lovely lady is Fujiko, then that Jigen, and our newest addition Amy." Lupin motions to each one.
"Goemon has told me about you. It's wonderful to finally meet you all." "So how did you meet our swordsmen here?" Fujiko gives a playful smile at Goemon, who doesn't look too happy at her teasing. "When I first moved here. I had gotten frustrated with cleaning and needed a break." You arrived to the cottage it was luck the roof was still good and only a couple of things needed to be fix...the only thing was cleaning. The cottage hadn't been used in a long time and the dust showed that. A thick layer had formed along with the many cobwebs and other things you had spent the better half of previous day cleaning a room out for your to sleep in along with the kitchen. It would be a while till you got working electricity, but luckily there was a water pump and a old pit in the back for you to use. Deciding it was time give everything a brake why not paint. It would be a waste of such a perfect scenery. So you go inside and gather your things and find a nice spot to do a painting. When Goemon had came to practice he used came a different route. It was a bit more scenic and helped his relax on his way down from practice.
Letting out a breath he began to go through his sword training, falling to notice another person enter the area.
It was a sight to see...a sight that needed to be painted.
You had silently set up making sure not to disturb you unknowing modle.
With a few light schetches on the canvas you began to get the paint ready and poured the paint thinner into the glass jar and got started.
You had gotten some of the background on and had just barely started to paint your modle in when you noticed he had stopped his moving. "Dont tell me your leaving yet!" Your voice had spooked him. Making you shrink a bit as he turned to look at you.
Handsome was one word to that came to mind.
"Who are you?" There was no malice in words...but his eyes became steely. "O-oh I'm (y/n)...I just moved here kinda..." He moves to you. His katana put back in its cover as he does so. He takes note of your set up. The paints and other little things, so your not lying. "May I see?" You sigh in relief that he wasn't mad. "Sure! But it's still wet be careful." You gently hand the canvas over to him, handing him the side that was dry and hadn't been touched by the paint. His eyes widen a touch. Even if you had just barely started he could see the details. "Your truly gifted..." He even flustered up a bit when seeing you added him to the painting. "Why don't you come over for a bit? I can't offer much at the moment, but it would still be nice to have some company."
"Sure...I don't mind."
"- that's pretty much it." You smile "Goemon has kinda been my model since then." Goemon blushes and the others are quick to pick up on it. "So are you two." Fujiko motions with her finger at the both of you. "Like together?"
The both of you blush.
"Well uh"
"Only just recently." Goemon finally spoke up.
"Awe newly love birds" Lupin teases.
"At least know we know why Goemon has been sneaking off now." Jigen adds.
"And your paintings?" Amy speaks up. "How long have you been painting for?" "For a long time now. I've mostly paint just for fun." "There really good. Museum worthy." Lupin states. He get up putting down is cup to look at a painting that was by the door. He squents. "This is real!" He looks back around to the other painting "Well (y/n) painted them so they are real." Amy spoke up. "No no no! That's an actual Vincent Van Gogh! And that's a Monet !" You just sit there watching him have a little freak out. "Your an art theft! And a good forger....a real good forger." You smile "guilty as charged. Though I don't do that anymore I got the painting I wanted so I don't need to do anything else." "(Y/n) is really good at his craft. He paints like he's taking a picture as you can see" Goemon adds. "But don't get any ideas Lupin, if (Y/n) says he doesn't do that anymore he doesn't do that anymore. I know I how you get." Lupin visibly deflates, already had a new making a new sceam in his crazy head. "And besides when I did forgeries it was a pain in the but to copy." You remember all the research you did on the renaissance all the way down to the wood an frames used. "Awe but I had a really good one..." "I don't want him getting hurt." "Awe Goemon!" The rest of the day had been spent talking getting Goemon even more flustered till he couldn't take it anymore and left back to the hide out. Leaving you and the rest to have fun. He did eventually come back when everyone left to get a kiss. "Such a romantic Goemon." "Please don't start acting like Lupin and Fujiko..." He huffs and places a kiss on your lips. "I wouldn't dream of it my swordsmen." And you give him a kiss back. "I'll see you tomorrow...I do need my modle well rested." "Tomorrow then." With one last kiss he leaves you and walks back to the hide out, thankful that everyone was a sleep and he didn't have to deal with teasesing.
