Summary
What if Peter snapped instead of Tony. Will he live, will he die? Will he succeed? Will he save the universe?
Note
Hey readers! I got this whole idea for a new fic from a post I read online. I re-watched some scene to get it as accurate as possible and when I was watching the scene where Peter gets dusted and when Peter and Tony reunite I was crying so hard! Hope you enjoy!

They buried him in the exact spots his heartbeat stopped. They added a gravestone on top.

May texted Tony the other day saying people should know that Peter is Spiderman.

The hero.

People should know that little boy sacrificed himself.

In a few days Tony is going to have a press conference explaining that Peter is Spiderman.

Spiderman is Peter.

Peter is Spiderman.

Peter is Spiderman without the suit.

Died at 16 to save the world.

He will never have a girlfriend.

He will never get married.

He will never start a family.

He will never win a Nobel Prize.

He will never…….

He will never do anything.

Ever.

Again.

Because he wanted to be like Tony.

If in that one way Tony had to snap, he would.

So did Peter he did it because he knew Tony would or was it because it was the right thing or…….

Tony wanted to rapidly punch something.

Anything.

He felt a warm hand on his shoulder.

He whipped around, hands curled into fists. Ready to fight.

He saw Dr. Strange there.

Anger boiled inside of him.

He shrugged Strang’s hand off him.

“You.” he whispered angrily, pointing a finger at him, “You told Peter he had to kill himself.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Don’t try to find a loophole.” Wagging his finger at him, “You do realise you that the minute he came back from the dead you told that 16 year old teenager to snap!”

“It was the only way we could have won and you know it.”

“There were 14,000,605 ways. And you are telling me we could have only won one way?! And that one way is that a little kid had to sacrifice himself?! He did not even graduate highschool!”

“It was the only way Stark.” Dr. Strange whispered, “The only way. Peter is a hero, there is no denying that. I did not force him, just suggested. It was his choice. And his choice was to sacrifice his life to save you, and everyone else.”

A thick silence settled on them.

“Lemme ask you a question, Stark.”

“Shoot.” Tony replied, crossing his arms.

“Are you mad at Peter? Or are you mad at me? Or are you mad at yourself?”

They started into each other's eyes until Tony glanced at the grave stone.

Those words were burned into his eyes.

“I’m proud of Peter.” Tony said looking at Strange with glossy eyes, “I’m mad at you and I am disappointed at myself.”

“Why are you disappointed at yourself.”

“What are you? A therapist?” Tony rolled his eyes.

Strange gave him a pointed look.

“Fine Dr. Shrink. I am-” Tony took a deep breath. He glanced at Pepper and gave her a look, but quickly looked back at Stephen.

“Tony, could you come here?” Pepper called, seeing her husband's face.

“Duty calls.” Tony said. “See you around.”

Before he could walk away Stephen said one last thing.

“You know when you lose your parents you are called an orphan. But when you lose a child there is no name for that. Because there is no word that can describe that pain.”

Tony quickly walked away.

He went to Pepper and thanked her.

There were too many voices echoing in his head.

“I don’t feel so good.”

“I just wanted to be like you.”

“Why are you disappointed at yourself.”

“You know when you lose your parents you are called an orphan. But when you lose a child there is no name for that. Because there is no word that can describe that pain.”

“I just want you back Pete.” Tony told the boy with his mind.
