The Confession
It has been multiple weeks since you have heard from Loki and you sit, waiting for him. However, he never calls for you until this moment. You hear his voice ring through your ears and turn, seeing him there. You are sure it isn't really him, however.
“Y/n, I wanted to call for you sooner, but Allfather is very persistent.” He awkwardly laughs, but you narrow your eyes, not sharing the same lighthearted sentiment.
“I thought I was just a servant, why would you care?” You use his words against him, and his gaze softens, watching as he becomes a bit embarrassed by his previous statement.
“I never meant to offend you.” Loki steps closer, looking down at you, “I saved your life, you should be thanking me,” he says with a grin.
You sigh, “You did, but that still doesn't mean your words hurt any less.”
“And I apologize.”
“Then why aren't you actually here?”
“I am.”
Your eyes widen and you go closer to him, reaching out to touch his face. Your hand actually comes in contact with skin, and you smile. He did come to see you after all. Your smile is reciprocated by him, and he leans down to kiss you, but you hesitate and pull back from the kiss. No matter how badly you wanted to feel his lips on yours, you can’t bring yourself to want it more than your own life.
“Loki…I could have been killed for this.”
“I know, but I can protect you.” He says sincerely and you shake your head.
“Allfather barely listens to what you have to say as it is, nothing will stop him from doing so. He will kill me if it is just to teach you a lesson. He doesn’t care.”
Your words are stern, and it falters Loki slightly, you can see that in his movements and the way his eyes dart to the floor. He is unusually quiet even when you expect a quip from him, he says nothing. Instead, he takes a step back from you and looks back towards your face.
“Y/n, I have fallen in love with you. It was never just about pleasing myself, as much as you have believed that to be the case. I have always been curious about you. That’s why I made you my personal servant. You deserve everything I have and more. I want to give that to you.”
You hesitate, taking in all of the information spilling from his lips. He really loved you.
“Loki…”
He interrupts, “If you never want to see me again, that is fine. If you wish to move out of the palace, that is not for me to stop. I just wanted you to know, and whatever you
decide, I will still love you.”
The words sound strange coming from Loki, never knowing him to be this caring. You never would have believed that this is the same man you knew months prior. He knows what he wants; He wants you and only you.
Before he can say any more, you interrupt, “I love you too.”
He perks up and his face flickers from confusion to delight, “You love me too?”
You nod, realizing that Loki believed you never loved him in the first place, merely seeing their relationship as nothing more than pleasure. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
He envelopes you into a hug and you hug him back, setting your lips to his in a passionate wind of emotions enveloping the two of you.
You don’t know what would happen now, knowing that Allfather would never let this relationship flourish and you would surely be killed for it. However, these are the last things on your mind. You bury them deep into your brain for now to just enjoy the feeling of him after being denied it for so long.
