Chapter 6
I quickly slip out of the room before Loki can do or say anything else to keep me with him. My hands shake as I close the door behind me, leaning against it afterwards. I attempt to make sense of the thoughts behind the mischevious trickster's actions, but I cannot seem to fathom it.
For a moment, I'm frustrated, unsure of what I should be doing in this predicament I have gotten myself into, "Stupid Loki, stupid marriage, and this stupid feeling." I whisper to myself, frustration evident in my voice.
I shake my head, removing my back from the large door as I walk away. I twirl my hair in my fingers nervously, looking down at the ground as I move.
As I walk, I replay the moment Loki and I shared, and a wide smile grows on my face. I can barely stop it or contain myself, a light giggle even leaving my lips in response to the thought. I place a hand to my face in a feeble attempt at hiding my grin.
While I may become offended and act as though my loyalty lies with Thor, I can't help but find Loki much more interesting. The game between the two of us has become addicting and I am barely able to stop the feelings I get around him.
♡♡♡
I stand from my chair and swiftly make my way towards the door, missing Y/n and her presence. However, the unrecognizable feeling causes my hand to hesitate on the doorknob. After a moment of contemplating whether or not I should run after her, I decide not to. This was not a cheesy romance novel afterall.
I shake my head and toss the book down onto the table rather harshly, growing overly frustrated about the situation.
Of course Thor would have a woman served to him, and he would never appreciate her like I would. I run my fingers through my hair in frustration and glance towards the door, wanting nothing more than to catch up to her. However, I do nothing.
Thinking back to the motion of pulling her down into my lap and hearing the word 'please' from her lips makes me wish I gave her the kiss she wished for.
I move towards the door of the library once again and look back down at the doorknob, sighing softly. I hesitate and open the door, watching as Y/n walks down the hall with her back facing me. I do nothing but stare, for what seems like a lifetime, before finally putting one foot in front of the other to make my way to her.
Once I catch up to her, she turns her head toward me and her eyes widen when she sees me.
"Loki?"
I interrupt her as her mouth opens again, knowing she was going to say more.
"Don't speak."
I grab her chin softly in my hand as she stares at me, her eyes wide with confusion as I do. Her eyes dart from my lips to my eyes and back again before I lean down, capturing her lips in a kiss.
At first, the kiss is soft and unsure, but in mere seconds it changes. The tension that has built between us finally flows freely through the kiss and Y/n pushes herself closer to me. However, she abruptly pulls back with a look I can't decipher before she slaps me.
I am blindsighted by this as it happens, blinking a couple times after the fact to regain my composure.
"You are ridiculous!" Y/n shouts and I furrow my brows.
"And how is that?"
"First, you tease me for wanting to kiss you and now you're initiating it?"
I roll my eyes at Y/n's rambling and sigh softly, "You need to talk less."
I snake my arm around her lower back and pull her closer, feeling as her hands brace against my chest. I look down and kiss her lips once more, not giving her the chance to say anything else.
