Tony Stark stood in front of one of five pods in a Highly Secured Vault. His face filled with rage at the betrayal of half of the Avengers roster, especially the betrayal from Steve Rogers, who had hidden his parents' death at the hands of Hydra's Living Weapon, James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes. Not only that, but he had the gall to lie and say he didn't even know when Tony confronted him about it in Siberia.
"If that's what people consider the peak of goodness humanity can achieve, then maybe it's time for a change," Tony said as he walked to the pods.
"Friday, prepare to make genetically modified clones. Nobody cared about Steve Rogers, only Captain America. Once we give the people the heroes: Captain America without Steve Rogers, Scarlet Witch without Wanda Maximoff, the Falcon without Sam Wilson, and Hawkeye without Clint Barton, we can have a good team without the corruption of Captain America. And not only that, use Extremis and other genetically engineering techniques I had you learn to enhance them even further. For the Hawkeye clone, try blending some eagle DNA in his eyes and giving him a better version of the super serum. And for the Falcon clone, merge his with a falcon; I want him to have real Falcon wings. We can put missiles and stuff on them and give him the same super serum. Actually, use the better super serum for all of the clones. As for the Scarlet Witch clone, I want you to focus on drawing the red energy from the cells we will use to clone and put an emphasis on cloning that specific energy. It doesn't matter if she has a physical form or is a form of energy; just make sure she's alive and ready to defeat Maximoff. For Black Widow, I want you to give her the new super serum and also the abilities to control poison. For Captain America, make sure the super serum doses we give for the new and improved super serum are given at regular intervals. For the brains, I want you to upload undeveloped backups of AI in the brains of the clone using Stark BCI technology. Then these clones will know who they are loyal to," Tony said with rage, having enough of betrayal for being too trusting. He will make his own team that will be loyal like Friday and Jarvis.
"It will take several hours, boss," Friday responded.
"Do it," Tony said before walking to the exit. "Oh, and Friday, send the location of the Romanoff to Ross. I don't want her digging in this until the clones are done."
"On it, boss," Friday responded.
Tony exited the vault and headed to his lab, where he made adjustments to the Iron Man armor.
"The next time you see me, your hell will be shown. You will see yourself replaced by better, more powerful versions of yourself," Tony said to himself as he looked at a holographic image of his dead parents.
Several hours later.
"The clones are ready, boss," Friday said.
"Great," Tony said as he got up and headed to the vault. When he arrived, he saw silhouettes in the pods.
"Release The Eagle," Tony said, naming the better and more improved Clint Barton.
A few minutes later, the pod opened, and the Eagle stepped out. He recognized his creator, Tony Stark. "Sir," Eagle said as a man with eagle wings on his back and eagle eyes stepped into view. He was tall, about 6.5 ft, and had a build greater than Rogers. "How do you feel?" Tony asked. "Amazing; I got a body now," The Eagle said as Tony remembered that these clones were bodies that were enhanced and had his AIs put inside of them.
"Next, Friday, release Falcon," Tony said.
Several minutes later, Falcon, a man who had a huge build, wings, and a bird-like head, stepped out. "Sir, Entity Falcon is online, and the body seems to be functioning optimally," Falcon said as he walked towards his creator.
"Perfect. Next one," Tony said.
The next one was Black Widow and was released several minutes later. She was like the normal Natasha but had purple eyes and could also reproduce, unlike the original. She was also taller and more muscular than the original.
"Hello, sir. Black Widow is ready for orders," Black Widow said.
"Good. Now the next one is Scarlet Witch," Tony said.
She was released several minutes later and was a woman of 6ft. She looked like Maximoff, but her eyes were glowing red. She was also surrounded in red mist but had so much control it didn't affect anyone.
"Scarlet Witch is ready for orders and recognizes creator Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man and creator and co-leader of the new Avengers initiative along with Colonel Rhodes, who is the main leader," Scarlet Witch said.
"Good. and last is Captain America. Release," Tony said. The final clone was released several minutes later. Out came a 7ft tall man with muscles similar to Thor. He had the symbol of Captain America on his chest.
"Captain America is ready for orders," Captain America said.
"Perfect," Tony said.
"Now for a name for each of you," Tony said as he looked at them and saw the Eagle. "Eagle," Tony said.
"Black Widow," Tony said.
"Falcon," Tony said.
"Witch," Tony said.
"Captain America," Tony said.
"You are all perfect in every way, and I can't wait for the world to see you in action. Now let's test your abilities and see how much better you are than your weaker, lying criminal counterparts.
"We're ready," the four of them said.
"Let's go," Tony said as the five of them walked out of the vault.
The new Avenger Initiative.
Tony Stark stood in front of a group of people who were the new members of the Avengers. "First up, Eagle, you are meant to replace Clint Barton, the Archer of the team. Here are some moving targets; your goal is to hit them. But since you're better than Clint, you will be fighting drones since you have a better super serum than Rogers in you, and you have wings. So, you will be required to fly while fighting these flying drones," Tony said as the Eagle walked in front of his creator. "Begin," Friday said as Eagle flew into the air. Several drones started flying towards him, and Eagle started shooting the targets while flying and also fighting melee with the drones.
"Hmm, that's good. He can fight drones while flying and take shots to protect civilians from targets trying to kill them. Enough, Eagle; you have blown Barton out of the water. Next is Black Widow; you are meant to replace Natasha Romanoff. You will be testing your skills against 20 drones that are armed.
"Begin," Friday said. Twenty drones started flying towards Black Widow, and she jumped on a drone, ripped off the arm before jumping 20ft in the air, and punched down on the ground, taking out four or five drones in the radius. She then jumped on a wall and started firing bullets on the remaining drones.
"Good, Black Widow; you can jump higher and shoot better than the original," Tony said. "We will need to test your poison manipulation abilities, but we will hold
off on that for now."
"Next up, Falcon. You are spliced with falcon DNA like Eagle, but your wings were genetically modified to be as hard and strong as metal. I am going to arm you with a combat suit that has missile launchers and machine guns mounted on your arms. Your duty is to provide air support, so your test is to destroy 100 targets while in the air," Tony said.
"Begin," Friday said. Falcon launched into the air, and the first target was taken out. He used his wings to protect himself from enemy fire. Then he used the machine guns on his arms to destroy 100 of the 1,000 targets.
"Very good, Falcon. Now, Witch, you are meant to replace Wanda Maximoff, the magic user of the team. You are meant to destroy 1,000 drones by using magic. Begin," Tony said. The drones began, and the Witch launched her attack and destroyed the 1,000 drones. She did it easily and had no strain on her magic. She then used reality warping to create 1 million more drones and used telekinesis to destroy all of them simultaneously, shocking Tony.
'Is this the power Maximoff has? Then she is a threat. I need to get permission from the accords council to kill her before she can become one. She is unhinged and refuses to be accountable; we can't let a monster like her run around, and she could turn against us,' Tony thought. 'Witch, on the other hand, is run by an AI I created, so she is safe and better.' "I was not expecting you to be able to create 1 million drones and destroy them instantly. That's good; you have powers even Maximoff doesn't or might not have," Tony said as the Witch was shocked.
"Of course, father. We have been created to be better than the failure of heroes you cloned us from," the Witch said, shocking the rest of the group. "Wait, Father? Tony is our dad?" Black Widow asked.
"Yes, and we were created by him, sister Widow. All of us contain AIs run by his AI, which is the greatest and most advanced. We are his perfect creation," the Witch said, shocking everyone, even her siblings. "By the way, here," Witch says as her hands glow red, and a red glow envelops the clones, giving them sentiences but also keeping a function in their sentiences that will keep them loyal to their father.
"Thank you, my daughter," Tony said. "Now let's test your physical abilities, shall we? You see, Witch, Wanda, the person you were cloned for, is considered a glass cannon. She may be strong magically, but a single touch from someone strong enough to hurt a normal human could end her. But you, my daughter, have a super serum in you like the other clones, which might be the reason why you can grasp your abilities easier and are more powerful," Tony said as he activated the simulation.
"Now your opponent is the Hulkbuster," Tony said as a simulated image of the Hulkbuster appeared.
"Remember, no magic in this fight, only physical capability. Begin," Tony said. The simulated Hulkbuster lunged towards Witch, but she simply punched him, and he was sent flying. The Hulkbuster came again and started a barrage of punches, which the Witch deflected. The Hulkbuster grabbed her and threw her in the air. The Witch, however, didn't go flying and landed safely on the ground.
"This is too easy," The Witch said as she launched a barrage of punches against the Hulkbuster. After several punches, the Hulkbuster was defeated. "Excellent. Now, Captain America, it's your turn, but I don't like that name, so how about we give you a name and call you Commander," Tony said.
"Okay. Sir," The Commander responded.
"All right, then, Commander, you have a super serum like the rest of your siblings, which will make you a great fighter. Now you will face several drones made to kill the original Captain America, and, oh yeah, here's the shield that I took back from the lying Hydra abetting asshole Rogers." Tony said, handing the Vibranium shield to the Commander. He had already studied and found a way to make synthetic Vibranium. "Begin," Tony said.
"Friday, start the simulation," Tony said as a simulation of 100 Hydra troops came at him.
The Commander charged into battle and was fighting the HYDRA troops and killing them, and the best part, he had no sympathy for them.
"Commander, you're done. All of you are amazing. You have far outdone the originals. Now, we need to do something about the originals. But first, we will need to introduce you to the accords council and Rhodey." Tony said, pleased, thinking how much Rogers and co will be hurt by him using their DNA like how they used him for money.
A few days later.
Tony was sitting in front of the Accords council, which consisted of representatives of all nations, even Wakanda, the country currently secretly harboring illegally the Ex-Avengers, General Ross
, and both Tony and Rhodey as co-leaders and representatives of the Avengers.
"Now the reason why I have brought the Avengers here is that we have created clones that are the perfect replacement for the traitorous criminals. First is the Eagle," Tony said as a video showing the Eagle's abilities played.
"What is the meaning of this?" T'Challa shouted, enraged that the team he was secretly harboring and helping was being cloned and replaced by Stark for trying to protect Barnes.
"Calm yourself, King T'Challa. It seems that Stark is simply making sure we have the best and most qualified people protecting the planet. We cannot fault him for doing what's right," Germany's representative said.
"Gemrany is right; we should not be arguing about this. Let Stark continue," Secretary Ross said.
"Thank you. So now the next one is the Black Widow," Tony said, as a video showcased the clone. "She even has poison manipulation powers, but we haven't got a chance to test it out because we need bioorganisms to test, and I'm not comfortable killing people for science," Tony said, looking at a glaring T'Challa with a smile. Everyone was on his side, apart from T'Challa; they all hated Rogers and his crew for going against accountability. Well, America was glaring at him too, but when he showed Commander, that will change, after all, nobody cares about Rogers, unlike him. People only cared about Captain America; it was a good thing Tony handled public relations because Rogers didn't want to be a flying monkey. Because of that, Rogers was unrelatable, and Captain America was the identity people cared for, not the mysterious Steve Roger, who no one knew except for at best 10 people.
"The next is Falcon," Tony said, as a man with metal wings and super soldier enhancements appeared on screen. "He's stronger, faster, more intelligent, and is a better shot and can fly."
"The next is Witch," Tony said. As a video showed the Scarlet Witch fighting 1 million drones at once and creating thousands by manipulating reality. "She's a powerful magic user and is loyal to us." Tony said, leaving out loyal to him not wanting to scare the council.
"Now, we move on to the final clone, Commander. He's a better Captain America than Rogers ever was. He has the better Stark Super Soldier Serum; his body is stronger and faster than the original; he is smarter and is a great leader." Tony said as he started showing the Commander's combat abilities.
"This is perfect. These clones are better than the originals," America's representative said.
"It's true, and the fact that Stark has a loyal magic user in his ranks means we can't lose. If any of them try to attack us, the Witch will defend us," Ross said.
"No, Stark is playing god; Wakanda will not stand for this. He cannot be allowed to make more clones, and his team will have to be disbanded," T'Challa said.
"Actually, King, I can and I am. You see, the world is better off with a team of people who will listen and obey the law. I think you're forgetting you're only in charge of Wakanda. Plus, I have recreated Vibranium, a synthetic version, so you have no use on the council. I move to vote to remove T'Challa and Wakanda from the council," Tony said.
"Second," said America's representative.
"Third," says Ross.
"Fourth," Russia's representative said. The other countries, especially the African ones who hated Wakanda for not helping them during the colonial period and taking all the vibranium Africa had, voted to kick Wakanda out of the council.
"Fine, I will leave the council. I am disgusted by the council's decision. My father was right; the world is a place where men who don't care for others will rule," T'Challa says as Tony smirks at him.
"Oh really, is that why you dishonor your father by housing the very people your father who goes against the accords your father made. Is that why you are protecting Captain America and his crew of terrorists and my parents' murderer," Tony said as he put live CCTV footage of Wakanda palace on the screen that he hacked, and it showed the council Team Cap in a lounge watching TV and doing other stuff. T'Challa's eyes widened seeing this.
"Arrest T'Challa," Ross yelled as the Wakandan guards came to help T'Challa.
"No, let him go, Ross; he has diplomatic immunity for now," the American Representative says as Ross looks at Tony, who seems uncaring.
"You are a coward. You have no idea what you are up against, and when the world realizes what you have done, the world will turn on you," T'Challa says.
"We have the world on our side, especially when I show the true Team Cap as Hydra abetting criminals. Barnes will never escape his charges, and if he somehow does, well, then you don't want to know what will happen next. Now get out of here; Wakanda is no longer welcome here; your a nation of terrorists," Tony said as T'Challa's eyes widen in shock.
T'Challa walks away with the remaining Wakandans, and his eyes were full of hate and anger.
"Now for the new and improved Avengers initiative. I say we vote to accept them; they are shown to be better capable than Team Cap and more loyal," Tony said not even seconds later after Tony said this he had the council's approval.
IN WAKANDA
T'Challa walked in Team Cap's lounge rooms to tell them but stopped when he saw they were watching the news, and it was showing an announcement from the accords council. He knew the accords were revealing what he came here to do, so he took a seat next to the captain.
"T'Challa, you're here, do you know what's this about? I thought you would be there playing the council to get us pardons," Natasha said sweetly.
"No, I um, just watch the TV; it will explain everything," T'Challa said, ashamed, hiding the anger he had for the humiliation he got, especially from the man wgo’s father took their precious vibranium. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the United Nations has a statement to make regarding the Avengers Initiative," a reporter says. "First, I would like to thank everyone for coming today. As you know, people have been worried the Avengers Initiative is too small, and some were asking for the ex-Avengers to be pardoned and put on community service. We, the accords council thanks to the genius of Mr. Stark, have an answer to that. We have created 5 clones and enhanced them genetically and are the replacements for the traitors. I present the New and Improved Avenger Initiative," the American Representative said.
The clones appeared and stood in the background.
"First up is Eagle," the American Representative said. A video played of Eagle, a Clint lookalike that was physically superior and had eagle wings and eyes, shooting targets while in the air and then destroying 100 drones with his eagle wings.
"Next up is Black Widow," the representative said.
Another video played; this time, it featured Black Widow, a Natasha Romanoff look-alike with purple eyes, shooting down drones and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. She also demonstrated the ability to produce poison.
"Next is Falcon," the representative said.
Another video showcased Falcon, a Sam Wilson look-alike with a bird-like head and metal wings. As a super soldier, he used his wings to destroy drones and fought in close-quarter combat.
"Next up is Witch," the representative said.
A video played featuring Scarlet Witch, a Wanda Maximoff clone who was taller and more adept at magic. She could manipulate reality, create a million drones, and wield various magical abilities.
"Finally, the best for last, The Commander," the representative said.
"I'm not going to play the video and go straight to The Commander."
The Commander stepped forward, examining the crowd. He possessed a superior physique to Rogers—taller, more muscular, faster, stronger, and smarter.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING WITH MY DNA?" Rogers shouted, enraged.
"Well, it looks like Stark has made better versions of all of you," Scott Lang said.
"HOW DARE HE! FIRST, HE TAKES MY PARENTS, AND THEN HIS ULTRON TAKES MY BROTHER. NOW HE TAKES MY DNA AND REPLACES ME, AND LOOK, SHE'S BETTER THAN ME AND CAN WARP REALITY!" Wanda cried. Unbeknownst to her, Witch had used her reality-warping powers to absorb Wanda's chaos magic, leaving Wanda with only enhancements from the Mind Stone.
"Steve, this is bad. Stark has effectively replaced us. There will be no quarrel in people's minds to get rid of us because they have better versions of us. This is why I told you to interact with the people more so they connected with Steve Rogers. But no, you said, 'I won't be a dancing monkey,' so people only cared for Captain America. But now Captain America's been replaced, so nobody cares for you," Natasha said.
"That's not important right now. How could he replace us with clones?" Rogers demanded.
"He's Tony Stark," Natasha replied.
"Damn that spoiled Stark! Can't he tell that I never told him about Bucky for the good of the world? Bucky needed to return home, not be killed. Now he's replaced us in his little tantrums," Rogers said.
"Wait a minute, T'Challa, how could you allow this? You're on the Accords council, aren't you?" Natasha asked.
"Yes, and I tried to convince the council not to allow the clones and Stark's team, but he humiliated me, and the council kicked me and my nation out. Stark revealed you guys and is going to expose you as Hydra-abetting traitors," T'Challa said.
"We are screwed. This is bad, very bad," Scott said.
"We will have to kill Stark and make an escape plan," Natasha said.
"Yeah, let's kill the man who can control the drones and satellites and has a reality-warping magic user clone on his side," Scott said sarcastically.
"Shut up, Scott. I have an idea," Rogers said, looking at Natasha. "You were able to manipulate Stark into forgiving you after you spied on him when he was suffering from Palladium. Can you do it again?"
"Probably, but I'll have to do it in person. We need to get the hell out of here first before Stark sends a squad of the clones and kills us..." Natasha was cut off as an explosion was heard.
"Too late," Natasha said, taking a knife and preparing to fight.
The ceiling was busted, and five people dropped into the room.
"What the hell is this?" Steve said as the group was shocked.
"Steve Rogers, you and your band of terrorists, and you too, T'Challa, are under arrest for countless crimes, most notably, to me, hiding and covering up the deaths of Howard and Maria Stark for Hydra," Commander said. Behind him, all of Wakanda's vibranium and weaponry turned into butterflies, and cuffs appeared on Team Cap, T'Challa, and their crew.
"You will regret this. You will pay," Wanda cried.
"Really? Will we now?" Falcon said.
"We will make you all suffer. You will pay for this. Tony Stark will pay," Steve Rogers said.
"Stark won't be paying for anything; you're the ones who will pay," Black Widow said.
"Move," Commander said as he roughly escorted them to a Quinjet.
"Take us to their new home, Friday," Commander said as the Quinjet took off.
"Yes, Commander," Friday said as the rest of the clones boarded the Quinjet.
"This is bullshit. Stark won't get away with this," Wanda said.
"He will," Natasha said, giving up. "He's replaced us. He took all we were worth and recreated better versions of us. Without our powers or physical prowess, what are we? Unlike Stark, who's a genius, billionaire, the man who made a suit under the watch of terrorists, and created clean energy, what are we?"
"I am Captain America," Steve said.
"That's nothing, Steve. Commander was designed to be better than you. If Captain America's image falls, there's no other worth Steve Rogers has. No other way he can contribute to the community like the rest of us," Natasha said.
"So you finally realize the truth. Steve Rogers was just an experiment," Black Widow said.
The Quinjet landed, and the clones escorted Steve Rogers into a cell. "Where are we?" Steve yelled, smashing on the glass, but it was Hulk-proof.
"This is Tony Stark's prison commissioned by the council to hold enhanced individuals who go against the Accords, who break the law. Just to let you know, Tony Stark's amendments went through, and you also have a cellmate arriving, Thaddeus Ross, after evidence of how Hulk was treated was shown. Funny how the Accords, you say, were dangerous to enhanced, helped get rid of a threat to one," Commander said, leaving as Steve Rogers and his team angrily yelled, forgotten to history.
America and the world agreed to rewrite history to change the role of Captain America to Commander and the role of Eskrine who was now delared a Nazi scientist, to Tony Stark creating a super soldier in the future and sending it back in time to help defeat the Nazis. Also, Iron Man and the rest of the new Avenger initiative were rewritten as the ones who saved the world from Loki.
Eventually, Thanos arrived, and the Witch reality-warped him, with Thor avenging his brother. Steve Rogers and his crew sat in prison for the rest of their lives until they died. Tony had a kid called Morgan and adopted Peter.
