Monstrous Christmas
12/25/1948, Fort Erskine, Teton Wilderness
The group had all been looking at The Monitors, wondering if today was going to be like last Christmas but there appeared to be nothing serious going on, The creature was not hunting down Saint Nicholas, relieved by that fact that he was safe, they started to move towards the center where a large table had been set up, the group going to sit down and speak, “So, there appears to be nothing.” the man said to them.
“Because of that, we’re going to go ahead and have a party.” he said towards them and hearing that, the group looked towards each other with some smiles as they went and started to get up, going and heading towards the rec center, seeing them off, the man took a breath, relieved by the fact they weren’t there, he went to call the others that were there and let them know what was going to happen.

12/25/1948, The Foundry, Mount Rainier
The members of The Squadron Savage, the group looked at each other before Golmen and Thompson had both walked over, “We have a new mission for you.” he told the group, making them curious about it all before they saw that there were some photos that had been set up, making the group look and see how there was something that looked… unnatural to them all.
The predator there had seemed almost… like there was a wild animal which seemed almost like it was brimming with power, “We had discovered that this creature was from Subterranea, the location that had been recorded to be the nesting ground of multiple dangerous predators.” he explained towards them which made the group curious, “And it looks like this one in particular wanted to roam.”
They saw that it appeared to be made of brilliant blue crystal which made Thompson speak up, “This one is known as Ugu according to Fort Erskine research, the material it is made of appears to be a conductor of some sort, what I do know is that we want it locked up with plenty of material to research.” he explained, making the group curious about why they would want it.
“Roger that, we’ll get your conductor, bossman.” Coldshot said with s salute while Amora gave a look to Ugu, “I would like to know, is there anything else that the reports could tell us of this… Ugu?” she asked of them, making Thompson shake his head, “All we know is that it’s a herbivore and that we don’t have to worry about it hunting down the humans there.” The leader of their project explained.
Hearing that, group nodded, “Alright, where are we going?” Nicole had asked, making the man open up a new map, “This island here, near Sin–Cong, so you have permission to be… thorough.” The man explained and hearing that, Skurge had played with his collar, Amora already starting to let his Jotunn self out so that he would be able to get them all prepared for what will be happening.

12/25/1948, Uninhabited Island, Sin–Congese Waters
The group had entered through a portal, looking around as they saw that there was something that made the group confused as they noticed how there was something… “Are those… droppings?” Cutthroat asked, going to touch one until Nicole slapped his hand away, “We don’t know if they’re safe.” she said towards the the man and hearing that, the group looked to Skurge.
He noticed and scowled, “Why me?” he asked, making the group all shrug, “You’re the toughest.” Coldshot said to him, making the man scoff while Amora created a hand sign just as it began to get enveloped by her magic, “There is no radiation.” she told them, “But it does appear to have a mystical quality that I cannot quite pin down.” she told them, making the group give a look.
At least until they began to hear the sound of a… what was that? The group looked around, trying to understand the situation before they noticed that there was something coming, the large crystalline beast that was Ugu, looking towards them with a growl, “Skurge, cut.” Amora said towards the man, making Skurge go full Giant as he charged towards the the beast.
He went to slash the creature, trying to break apart the crystal but it only chipped his ax, seeing that, the man snarled, wanting to attack him again with a headbutt, but it only broke his helmet instead which made the man get a concussion instead, “Aim for the eyes!” Nicole shouted, loading and firing with Cutthroat grabbing a pistol from her belt and doing the same, both trying to but the Creature knew.
It blocked its eyes to protect it so Coldhsot and Amora took a chance, the former trying to freeze his kinetic motion while Amora tried to bubble the creature, but as it did so, the crystals started to glow… making the two blasts of energy to hit him, but they had been absorbed and then reflected back towards them and it hit both Cutthroat and Nicole which started to freeze them both down.
Taken down, it left three of them, “Where Golmen?!” Skurge snarled towards them, making the others start to panic and then head back as a bright flash could be heard, the bright flash of lightning that rained down upon them to bring Golmen there who was NOT looking happy, “This is Ugu? And you haven’t taken him down yet?” He asked before there was another attack.
The creature had roared towards them, Ugu seeming in a rage before the creature went to charge towards them with rage, barreling through the land to attack them, but Amora had reacted, creating a portal and made the creature appear in the air, making the creature roar in rage, trying to survive as it crashed and shattered, making the group look with curiosity before Golmen spoke.
“Grab the crystals, we need to–” he started to say before the crystals started to reform, making the creature once more which snarled towards them with a loud roar, causing them all to grab their ears in pain as Ugu bellowed, “How do we kill this thing?!” Cutthroat shouted towards them, making Coldshot think, “We don’t, we get something worse to grab him.” The Platinum Blonde said and hearing that, Nicole nodded.
The freezing seemed to have worn off as she looked to the concussed giant, “Skurge, with me!” she shouted, making the ax wielder nod slowly as the two of them went and ran towards the hole that they assumed that Ugu came out from, “Give them a roar!” She told Skurge, grabbing at a grenade she had at her belt and tossing it, making the man nod before he did as much, giving a roar that sounded almost like thunder.
The two of them saw the explosion and the echo which made the two of them smile as they heard something louder, three somethings which made the two nod before going to run away, “Come on! Over here!” She shouted out, making the decision to have the large beast come out from the cave and towards the surface as they saw that Ugu had been fighting against everything.
Whatever crystal it was made of was dangerous and as they continued to struggle against the beast that had been fighting Cutthroat right now, lids appearing over his eyes as the giant defended them, the martial artist had gotten on top of the beast, “Can someone PLEASE help me with this?! I’m a Martial Artist! Not a super!” he shouted out towards them and Golmen was happy to help.
He charge forth, disabling the electrical energy that was coming from it and went to smash the kneecap of Ugu, making him fall down, roaring in pain before the kneecap had reformed back into a leg, He roared, until there was a louder roar that came, making them look to see that it was a large green creature with three heads, wings flapping as it went to pin down onto Ugu.
The middle mouth had roared into the face of Ugu while the other two heads melted the arms of Ugu, melding them together to the ground and pinning the creature down before grabbing the torso, Ugu had thrashed, looking as if he wanted to fight until they saw that there was a look towards them that the left head gave, at least until they saw that there was a new flight plan it had.
“Where is it going?” Amora asked, making Golmen speak, “It’s heading over to Monster Isle for some reason… but I thought that they lived–” “For whatever reason, it looks like this island is a pathway to Monster Isle and Subterranea.” He explained, making the group think on that as Nicole picked up one of the crystals and looking to see that it was harmless, “Then should we check on the island?”

12/25/1948, Monster Isle, Sea of Okhotsk
The Squadron Savage had arrived and saw that there was some sort of, some union that was going on between them all which made the group curious, seeing that these Megafauna appeared to be circling each other, not in a malignant way, almost as if in a celebration of some sort, “I guess they celebrate Christmas too.” Coldshot told them, “The WInter Solstice.” Amora told them.
“That is what they’re celebrating, and I believe that this proves they’re more intelligent that we thought.” The Asgardian Sorceress said towards them, seeing how the one called Ugu had been enjoying himself now, his arms were shattered and reformed as one of the larger ones had offered a fruit to Ugu who took it, “We’re not going to do anything.” Golmen told them.
“Things are monitored here, if we go in, The Squadron Supreme will know about us and The Foundry doesn’t want to be found out yet.” he told them, glad that the sorceress had disguised their location before they arrived here, “Don’t worry… as long as I am here, they shall not find us.” The woman told them as they continued to observe the location and what was going on.
“So it looks to me, that Ugu got a bit too much to drink and party crashed, and we were fortunate enough to get his friend here to pick the drunk up.” Coldshot told them, the whole group looking towards the sight before Nicole spoke, “I have the sample, I don’t believe that we’ll be needing anything else.” she said towards them, making the group look towards each other with a thought on that.
“Okay then, so how about we go back? Tell the others what’s going on here and how they seem to have some sort of cohesion during situations such as these?” Cutthroat said, making all of them look towards the scene before they all had a similar thought, “So we’re going to watch it for this Christmas?” he asked, making the others think on that before they started to move.
As they did so, the group looked and saw that there was something more and more interesting right now as they all started to get comfortable and watching everything that was there while Amora looked over the crystal that Nicole gathered and started to think on how they were going to utilize such a material for their future operations, maybe even to deal with others like her if needed.

12/25/1948, Fort Erskine, Teton Wilderness
The assembled group had been enjoying their party and as they did so, they could hear a banging, a loud one that made the Squadron Members all pause, confused by what was happening as they saw that The gate to The Maw was being hit by something, making the group see that there was something trying to get through, “I’ll check it out.” Zarda said before going to walk in.
They had seen that there was something there, looking through the window there and saw that there was The Megataur which had attacked them before was heading away and towards a different tunnel, making the group curious, “Megataur is heading East.” Zarda told them and hearing that, The Members of The Squadron all started to head over to their gear to get ready to follow him.

12/25/1948, Monster Isle, Sea of Okhotsk
The Squadron had come in thanks to the vehicle they had designed for Subterranea and followed until they realized that they had arrived at Monster Isle’s Maw, The Megataur had come to stop in front of other Megafauna, all of them seeming calm, enjoying themselves until one of the Crystalline creatures had come over and was looking at them aggressive towards them.
At least until one with three heads and large wings had looked down and snapped at the animal, making The Squadron confused by that as they saw more Monster Islanders coming over and sharing food with each other, not afraid like they usually were of the creatures, “Oh, hello, Squadron Supreme.” One of the natives said towards them, making the group confused.
“What– What’s going on?” Sk’ym’x had asked of them, making the native look towards the animals, “It’s The Celebration. Where peace is had by all.” They said towards The Squadron and hearing that, The group were honestly surprised at how peaceful they all seemed, it was incredible, and insane and it showed that these Megafauna were more intelligent than they thought.
“May we… Are we allowed to join?” Robert had asked and hearing that, the Native nodded, “Yes, all are allowed to join The Celebration.” another said as they started to look and see that there was food being offered, it was always good when they came here, so they went and started to take of the food so that they would be able to see more of what the others lived through.

The Squadron Savage Teammates had seen that there was The Squadron Supreme who had come to join them, seeing this, The Team had started to get back, making sure that they were out of The Telepathic Range of Skymax before noticing that there was something, Ugu saw them and glared, going and charging towards them before they saw that it was picking up a tree.
They started to get nervous at that as Skurge went and took the brunt of the tree as Coldshot started to deal with the kinetic energy of the tree, making sure that there was enough cover to make sure that it looked like he was just drunk on the fruit, “We need to get further, Amora, can you make something to watch them?” Golmen asked and hearing that, Amora nodded, “Of course, Magnus.” she said with a smile.
She gave a few chants before speaking up, “There, we have an eye observing The Island that none but myself may use unless I grant permission.” she told them, making the group nod towards that, “Alright, are we heading out or what?” Cutthroat asked of them, making Golmen nod, “We’re leaving, now.” he told them, making the others all nod before vanishing in another flash of lightning.

12/25/1948, The Foundry, Mount Rainier
Thompson had noticed them and seeing the team back with a supply of the crystals, he smiled, “Alright then, and can any of you explain what exactly went on to release Ugu onto the surface?” he asked, Golmen was more than happy to answer that, “It looks like there was some sort of… party that resulted in the creature getting intoxicated and roaming past Monster Isle.
Hearing that, the man laughed, “So he wandered off drunk from a party?” he asked of them, making the others look towards each other before they laughed towards that as well before they headed off to the map of Monster Isle that was there, “We also left an observer to monitor the location.” and as she started to form a tablet to offer the item to him, they had acquired the way to view the island.
The Squadron Savage had started to think on what they were going to be doing next but instead the Director looked, “Back to your cell, you’re done for the day.” he ordered of them, making the Savages a bit relieved and curious about it before they started to head over to their cells, get checked up on and hopefully enjoy a few days of downtime until they were called again.

12/26/1948, Monster Isle, Sea of Okhotsk
The Squadron had started to move and as they did so, the members of The Squadron began to head on out, seeing that there was nothing that they needed to worry about, The Natives were all heading over to their villages and as they started to leave, the Squadron started to prepare the way home and as they did, Zarda saw one of the creatures that the people called Ugu had looked at them.
They were curious about that before the large creature started to create glyphs over its body to reveal that there was something that happened, another group of people had attacked Ugu when he had wandered off, trying to break him apart, seeing and ‘reading’ that, they had been surprised to hear of something like that and what it could possibly mean for them all.
“We need to tell The General about this.” Zarda said and hearing that, they were all in agreement, thinking about how they would deal with it as the Squadron started up the plane, “There’s something that we need to worry about if there are more teams like them running around meant that they needed to be searched and learned about if the other countries had other squads running around here.

The group had come back and as they did so, the assembled Squadron who told him everything, making the Director take a breath in annoyance before he started to move, going and heading over to the main room and as they did so, the man took a breath, “This is… this is something that we’re gonna have to deal with in time, I promise.” he told them, making the group nod as they started to move.

12/31/1948, Maximus’ Lab, The Royal Palace
The Inhuman Prince had been looking over the materials that he had as Auran watched everything, “So, what exactly are the portals supposed to lead to?” Auran asked of him, sitting on the lab table and as the man chuckled, the man saw that there was something that was trying to break through, “We are going to open portals into both The Darkforce Dimension and Lightforce Dimensions.” he told her.
Hearing that, the Inhuman was curious, “So what is this Lightforce/Darkforce?” She asked and hearing that, the man chuckled, “The two of them are amazing, and they can be quite useful for some of our future plans.” he said and hearing that, Auran was curious, “So what are we waiting for?” she asked and hearing that, the man gave a wide smile as he flipped the switch for both.
He had nothing for The Lightforce but as he observed everything going on, the portal for The Darkforce Dimension acted up, creating a spark of light and making the two of them surprised and confused before the sight of some sort star crashing out and barreling through lab making the two tense.
They saw that there was two beings there that Maximus had dealt with as she went and tossed a couple of grenades that he had and grabbed a mask he tossed to Auran as both watched them start to fall into unconsciousness and as they had done so, Maximus approached and looked down upon the scene before whistling, “So we have Solar Flare and Doctor Spectrum with us!” he said.
That made Auran look at the two of them while Maximus started to smile towards that sight before the man looked at them and saw that they were wounded but there was some sort of infection that was there as well and it made the Scientist curious, especially with how they looked so tired and frazzled, it made the man think that there was a few things he needed to do.
The man smiled before they had started to wake up, their savage forms, covered in bone and leather which made the man smile as he went and gave them their orders, “You’re going to go home, not remembering where you came in.” he told them as both nodded, going and starting to move towards the West so that they could do that, as they vanished, the Prince looked to Auran.
“I’m surprised you didn’t try to convert either of them with your pet Worm.” she said, making Maximus chuckle at her hatred for Alveus, but instead Maximus headed to the portals and thought, “Ready to try again?” he asked of them, making the woman shrug, “Why not. Could be fun.” she said and hearing that, they had started to get ready for the next attempt at whatever The Prince was planning.
