Weaving a New Story
After staying in his room for hours, enjoying every little luxury he had always taken for granted and had missed for such a long time, be it the bath, fruit or mead (who's to judge a prince would be crown prince for drinking so early) ignoring his royal duties or whatever responsibility he may have had and doesn't remember... Loki decides to dress up in the clothes laid out for him and steps out of his room.
This time around previously, he had feigned illness and kept himself in the room most of the time, plotting and planning to ruin the coronation.. So he doesn't clearly remember what he was actually supposed to do... Was he even given any duty? He does remember confronting Odin and trying to talk sense into him that Thor, as of now, isn't ready to be the king yet, only to be humiliated in front of Idiots Four and being declared an envious liar! Nope, he's not doing that this time around.
Maybe he should talk to Frigga. She was once a warrior and a fierce Queen.. But now he doesn't know.. Last time around she didn't move a leaf without Odin's permission... Maybe provided him comfort with words, books and furniture but it was still a gilded cage! Of all the people he had hoped she would see he was tortured, mind controlled, weak.. Anything.. The New York battle was a complete farce.. He may not have shown the height of his seidr capabilities.. But she knew what even a fraction of his power could do... Had he wished, he could have brought down all the buildings of the city within mere minutes. He had sabotaged his own plan and had stolen an Infinity Gem from the Mad Titan and nobody got the memo!? Not even Frigga?
Okay then, not Frigga, Odin, obviously not Thor, Idiots Four nor the Traitorous Gatekeeper Heimdall. Great! So no one to trust... Oh he so wishes he could just leave this place.. Perhaps visit Mobius or Sylvie.. Heck even O.B. would be better! Well no point of this wishful thinking...
Had he not known better, he would have probably done nothing and watched how Thor would fare at the throne. But now that he has the knowledge of the multiverse, he knows exactly how this would play out. No matter how funny Thor's face had been trying to grasp the concept of diplomacy, he refuses to let it destroy Asgard in process! Thor was already in trouble when he, accidentally(?), flirted with royal dignitaries of Alfheim without knowing they are the consorts of the King, when Sif decided to defend him by saying that the King was an infant to not be able to choose one wife! The nerve of that woman!!! She judged a King for having three consorts!? Thor had already banned Loki from interfering reminding him to "Know his Place" which meant Odin had to woken up from his Odinsleep to find Asgard in knee-deep in bloods of Alfheim's and Asgardian warriors! Loki on that universe had died saving Thor, who didn't even notice, until it was too late! Nah, he doesn't want to die like that this time... Being a God comes with its own boons and banes... While he knows what can work.. He also knows a million ways he may not live a complete life.
He should probably show his face now before Frigga sends a search party.. Norn knows, Sif might have even started spurting her venomous thoughts declaring him jealous of Thor and the others accepting and brewing their own conspiracy theories!
