5 day

Who would have thought this day would be long? It started off calmly. Pepper had returned to the city and the first thing she did was invite Peter to dinner.

The place they were going to eat was by a lake. Pepper got in the driver's seat to drive, and Tony sat right next to her.

Pepper calmly drove to Peter's house. The young hero was waiting in front of his house, dressed in the full suit Tony had just bought him. Pepper looked at Peter with admiration. There was an energy about him that she couldn't understand. The boy had been through so much, but he was still filled with happiness. He was a hero, a student, and a good son.

Pepper waited for Peter to get into the backseat and spoke to him while looking into the rearview mirror.

“Hi Pete, how are you, buddy?”

“I'm fine Pep, how are you? How was the trip?”

"It was nice, but I missed you so much." Peter suddenly felt embarrassed when Pepper said this. His cheeks turned red.

“Thank you, I love you too,” he said shyly.

As the car moved across the flat ground, Peter took a moment to look around. Pepper and Tony were in the front row, and he was in the back. Like a family...

This caused him to become emotional. It was strange that he felt both sadness and happiness. Tony was talking and making jokes.

“Hey kid, make a few changes to your costume...”

Pepper interrupted Tony.

"Please Tony, let's not talk about these things now, let's have a quiet day, what do you say?"

Tony and Peter talked about different things along the way, as if they were two children listening to their mother.

A few minutes later they arrived at the place where they were going to eat. It was built on a lake. They sat at the table closest to the lake and waited for the food to arrive. While they ate, Peter told them about the project he and Ned had done.

"So when's the prom, honey?" Pepper asked.

“A week after school started.”

“So who will you go with?”

Peter swallowed. He was planning to invite MJ. “You’re going to invite that girl. That curly-haired girl,” Tony said. As Peter wondered how Tony knew this, it happened again, a vibration rising up his spine. The young man stood up and began to think about where the danger was. The little girl of a family sitting behind them was heading towards the lake. “No!”

Peter ran, but the girl had already fallen into the lake. Everyone in the place stood up.

Peter jumped after the girl. The girl was sinking to the bottom. Peter followed her stubbornly. The little girl had sunk to the bottom and was not showing any vital signs. Peter blew the last breath he had into the girl's lungs.

Tony followed Peter into the lake. When Peter and the girl came into view, Peter pointed at her as if to say, "Save her."

Tony, trusting Peter's intuition, took the little girl up. The people around him helped Tony up. As Peter was climbing up from the bottom, black dots began to appear in front of his eyes. He tried his best not to faint, struggled a little, but in vain, he was sinking to the bottom again.

Tony waited for Peter to come out, but in vain the young man was nowhere to be seen. Tony took a deep breath and dove in again. He grabbed the young man's arm as he sank to the bottom and pulled him up. Pepper was out of breath. The little girl who had been saved was conscious and crying, which was a good thing.

On the other hand, his child was nowhere to be found. A few minutes later, Tony came to the surface and managed to get Peter to the ground with the help of the people gathered around. He immediately knelt down next to his son. Pepper was more scared than ever. She had seen the little boy injured, but she had never seen him unconscious.

Tony put his hand on his son's neck, searching for a pulse but couldn't find one. He cursed under his breath. He immediately started CPR. Pep screamed the moment he saw this.

The people around her sat Pepper down on a chair because she was about to faint.

Wet hair was plastered to Peter's forehead. Tony was pressing through the boy's soaked, sticky shirt. He flinched when he heard a few ribs crack, but he didn't stop. Peter's lips were blue now.

"Peter, come on son, don't do this to me, Peter!" When Tony put the words together, these came out on his lips.

Pepper cried as the compressions on the boy's chest continued.

When Tony hears that another rib has broken under his hand, he thinks that this will cause a lot of pain in the future.

“Come on, kid! Come on!” Tony punches Peter in the chest, and the kid squirts and tilts his head to the right at the same time.

"Thank goodness Pete," Pepper walks over to her son and brushes back his hair. Peter couldn't help but wonder why his chest hurt so much as he coughed.

Tony falls back when Peter breathes in, and he takes a deep breath as well. Peter feels a burning sensation as he draws oxygen into his lungs. When he tries to get up, Pepper pushes him back down.

"Don't get up, honey, the ambulance is coming," he says.

"Kid, don't get up!" Tony gets up from where he is and comes to Peter's bedside while Pep unbuttons Peter's shirt and takes off his tie.

"I'm fine," he manages to say, then when he coughs again, Pepper says, "Don't try to talk, honey, calm down, we're here."

Peter is trembling slightly, his lips aren't as blue anymore, Tony thinks. The sound of an ambulance siren is heard, and a few minutes later, one of the officers comes to Peter and shines a light into his eyes.

When he asks, “What’s your name, young man?” Peter says, “Peter,” with difficulty. The officer looks at Tony and asks, “Did the car stop, if so, how long did it take?” Tony thinks, but what seemed like hours to him was said to be 3 minutes by eyewitnesses around.

The other ambulance officer puts an oxygen mask on Peter's face, sticks electrodes to his already exposed chest, and attaches an oximeter to his hand.

Peter feels a little more comfortable after taking a breath of pure oxygen. The officer asks again, “Did he hit his head?”

"Not that I know of," says Tony. The little girl who survived is taken to the hospital by the other ambulance just for a check-up. While the officers load Peter up and take him to the hospital, Tony tells them to take him to his medical wing.

Pepper caresses Peter's hair throughout the journey while Peter sleeps.

When you enter the medical bay, a stretcher is waiting outside. Peter is immediately placed on the stretcher and taken to the intervention bay while Tony and Pepper go to the waiting bay. Tony takes off his wet clothes and puts on some dry clothes.

After an hour, Helen comes into the waiting room.

“Tony?”

“What happened Helen?”

“Peter is fine. He has drained the water from his lungs, he has some wheezing but it will pass in time, his airway is open. However, sometimes undesirable results can occur in such emergency interventions. Especially during CPR, situations such as rib fractures can occur. Unfortunately, while performing CPR on your patient, we detected that four of his ribs were broken. Unfortunately, this is a situation that can sometimes happen and can be unavoidable during vital interventions. We wrapped his chest.”

Tony's head dropped when he heard the broken rib. Pepper said quickly, "It's not your fault, honey, it was necessary for his survival." Helen nodded in agreement.

“We’ve taken him to intensive care now, we’ll move him to a regular room in the morning.” When Helen finished her sentence, Pepper asked, “Can we see him?” Helen said, “Follow me.” The follow was two floors and a corridor.

"When you wake up, press the call button." Helen gave the information and left. When the couple entered the intensive care unit, they saw Peter's image. He had wires on him, but at least his lips weren't blue and his chest was rising and falling on its own, Tony thought. Pepper took her place at the head of the bed again and began to stroke his now wet hair, stroking it back.

Tony threw himself into the seat next to him. He was tired and very scared. He was sure he was going to have a heart attack at that moment, but luckily he assumed it was a panic attack. A feeling of happiness enveloped him when he saw his child sleeping like this.

Peter woke up at around 7am. "Pep," he said in a raspy voice. Pepper quickly pressed the call button and said, "Look who's awake."

Tony stood up and gently put his hand on Peter's shoulder. "Morning Underoos," he said. Peter laughed softly under the mask. He reached out to take it off, but Pepper grabbed the boy's hand. "Leave the mask on until Helen gets here, honey," he said.

Helen entered the room and checked Peter's vitals. "Lungs and ribs are healing quickly Peter, we can move you to a regular room so we can listen to your lungs," she said.

She pressed the stethoscope against Peter's already bare chest. "Take a deep breath, Pete," Helen said. Peter did as she was told. Helen listened for a moment longer, then said, "Let's listen from the back." Pepper helped Peter into a sitting position. Helen listened again. "There's a little crackling, but the recovery is still very good. But keep the oxygen mask on, just as a precaution," she said. Pepper gently laid Peter down again.

When Helen left the room the nurses came in. They moved Peter to a regular room. Most of the wires on him were gone. When they got to the new room Peter looked at Tony at the bedside and asked, “Is the little girl okay?”

"Pretty good kid, but you on the other hand weren't so good. I nearly had a heart attack," Tony said.

Peter laughed. “Proof that Tony Stark has a heart,” he said. He felt the need to breathe again when he used such a long sentence. His chest ached so much.

Tony started to pet his son's hair, meanwhile Pepper was going to go home and take a shower and needed to change her clothes, she had been wearing heels until the morning.

Peter would wake up very often and get tired and go back to sleep. Helen discharged him the next day but said he had to be careful as his ribs were not yet healed.

Pepper became a mother when Peter entered the house.

"Careful, honey. Tony, can you give Peter a little help?"

"Pep, I'm fine, really," said Peter, who had been saying this since he left the medical wing.

"You're fine, honey, I just want you to be better," Pepper said.

The young hero sat down on the couch, holding his ribs with his right hand, and leaned his head back. Pepper sat down right next to Peter and started combing his wavy hair back with her hand. When Peter closed his eyes, Pepper commanded him, "Lie down, honey." Peter leaned his head on Pepper's knee. He was already in a deep sleep.

Tony came in with two cups of coffee and handed one to Pepper, who sat down on one of the couches and began to watch Peter's breathing.

"I was scared, Pep. Very scared," said Tony.

"Me too, Tony. I nearly fainted."

"May just called. I told her not to worry that you were with us."

Pep nodded silently and took a sip of coffee, thinking to himself, "It's a quiet day."

“The kid’s a trouble magnet,” Tony said. Pepper laughed.

"The internship with you is going to be very action-packed."

A few hours later Peter woke up and ate some soup at Pepper and Tony's insistence. In the evening, Tony helped Peter up to his room.

Pepper came into the room with fresh bandages in hand. Tony carefully removed Peter's shirt. Peter groaned a little but didn't protest.

Pepper changed the boy's bandages, threw the old ones in the trash, and gave him his medicine. Tony helped Peter into his nightgown, then laid Peter down and covered him with the covers.

Pepper sat down next to the young man again and started petting his hair. Peter was already asleep from the effects of the drugs.

Tony realized then that Peter was his and Pepper's child, even though they were not related by blood...
