Summary
Daniela really loves you.
Note
The book mentioned idk if it's real I made it and the quote up♡

Daniela didn't think it was possible

How someone could love her for her. Could handle the mind that made up Daniela. Holding hands with you became her favorite passed time. Sometimes she'll hold to tightly it would hurt. Sometimes even draw blood.

She'd always make sure to apologize eachtime

"Sorry my dove!" A kiss to the hand in a gentle teasing manner. You forgave her each time

She loved holding hands with you any chance she got no matter the time or what either of you two were doing. You could be working, and she'd insist on holding hands. At dinner? Holding hands.

She adores being around you- talking your ear off every chance she got. How something happened in a book she read and wants to try it out to laughing how she saw a maid spill water on Cassandra and thought the face they both made was hilarious. She always knew even if you weren't looking at her and working.

You were listening
You responded every now and again- asking her about the book- her day- encouraging her to talk about them with you or whoever she wants. It'd always be you. It made her heart swoon whenever you'd stop and smile so softly- full of love at her.

For her.

Humming down the hallway- Daniela happily swung her hands about as she searched all for you. Stopping, she poked her head into the old library- the one farthest in the castle. The special spot for you both- only you guys went to. Her smile grew seeing you sitting in one of the couchs reading a book.

You looked so at peace- the light from the dimming sun peaking from the window hitting all around- it almost made it look like you had a halo.

"Dove~ you started to read without me?" A fake pout from her lips as she bounced over. Sitting on the other side of the couch beside you - "Oh my!" She started a smile etched into her to bringing you into her side she looked at the book. "The dove?"

"Yeah - I remember how you'd compare me to the dove in the book" how the nickname even started. Smiling fondly- if she could blush she would be right now. "What was that one quote again- uh-"

"When I look at you. My troubles fade away. My heart swores like the doves above. I couldn't help but be drawn to you. How much I adore you - love you. My little dove~" she recited, smiling at the flushed look in your eyes

"That last part wasn't in the book"

Leaning against her side you hummed. Wanting nothing more then to hold her hand and tell her it'll all be fine. But that'd be a lie. And that's one thing you refuse to do to- for her.

"I improvised," she shrugged, smiling.

Lie to her.

"Love" you called gently bringing her out of the dazed state. Humming she turned to you smiling with so much love- filled with love for you. It made your heart drop. "You need to let go. Please"

Daniela blinked. "What?" Confusion was written in her face before Reality kicked in. She's doing it again. Getting to invested into this. The day dreams. Her face dropped. Looking around the room at the books sprung acrossed the floor. The knocked over table. The single tea cup.

"Oh right"

She was alone

Daniela didn't think it was possible.

Because it wasn't. The tears fell.

"This isn't real"

It haven't been for a very long time. She can't recall exactly when you passed. But she knew you had. Surving injuries are simple for the most part. But the unfortunate end by aging is one no mortal can pass- and unluckily for her- she had to suffer in confusion as you grew much older than any other maid in the castle.

But that's the fate of the unaging like the Dimitrescu family. They fall for another that will eventually die from old age- no matter what they'd try and do.

As stong as they are. They were powerless against time.
