Oil Spill
9/2/1936, Namor’s Quarters, The Royal Palace
The Prince saw the warriors that were guarding his exits, “Come on guys, I’m ALL calmed down now… you can let me out.” he had said, his only answer being one of the soldiers looking towards him, “You’re confined to your room until King Thakorr says otherwise, kid.” one of the guards said as the window had shown a pair of heads that had looked towards him now.
“Is it safe to come in, or will you try and knock my head off again?” Nammu had asked and hearing that, Namor smiled, “Nammu, Bobo!” he had shouted as they had entered now, both of them looking happy as they had entered, Bobo going and pointing towards Nammu’s bandage, “Look at this dent!” he had said with a smile, “Your skull is harder than a crab’s behind!” he said as they looked towards them.
“Nammu, I’m sorry… it was an accident, and…” Namor had went, but they relaxed, “I know.” She had said, patting his shoulder as Bobo and Namor had clenched his hand, “Sandy’s home safe and Beemer’s gonna be okay.” His cousin told him, making Namor look away, “That’s good, I suppose…” he said, making Nammu sigh at that with Bobo frowning as well.
“You know, Namor, that temper of yours is gonna get you into trouble one of these days.” She said as Bobo had went and started to pick things up, “What do you say we clean up this mess and try to forget this ever happened, huh?” he had asked, Nammu going to help him as Namor had looked at them, “Yeah… sure.” he had said, making the three of them go and get started on it.

As they had finished up and Bobo told his story, Namor had rubbed his head in confusion, “What did Zarina mean, ‘I don’t want to see you again’?” namor had asked as Bobo put a shelf in, “Figure it out, Namor.” Bobo had said to them both, “Figure it out, Namor. She’s disowned me.” he had told them, making Nammu speak up now, “C’mon, she didn’t mean it. She’s just upset because of Beemer.” Nammu told him.
Namor nodding at that, “Maybe I should talk to her?” Namor had said towards him as Bobo had smirked towards them, “Yeah, you two fighting it out… that’ll really help.” he said before going and frowning, looking away from the two, “Anyway, it won’t make any difference.” he told the pair, “As long as I love Liz, I don’t belong here anymore.” he explained, making both look at each other.
“I see.” Namor had went before looking to Bobo, “So what do you mean to do?” The Prince had asked of him, “Go be with Liz. That’s all I care about.” Bobo had told them with a smile, “Mom was right.” he told them, “I’ve made my choice.” he told them, both of them going and gripping each others shoulders at the moment, putting their heads together in what might be the last time in a while.

Sandy was walking up, wanting to talk to Liz now after everything that had happened before she had seen that there was a car there, “Liz?” she had asked, seeing her friend in the car had went to the open window and peered in, “Liz, where are you going?” she had asked of her, making Liz take a breath, “They wouldn’t leave me alone.” Liz had told Sandy.
“They wanted an explanation for why I refused Troy’s proposal. But they didn’t like the answer.” she had said, confusing Sandy even more, “What's the matter, are you sick?” Sandy had asked, making Liz look towards her and answered, “I’m pregnant.” she had said, shocking her, “Preg…” she had went in shock, “I’m being sent to stay in a home for girls in my ‘unfortunate situation’.” she had told her.
“Is… is it Bobo’s?” Sandy had asked her, “What do YOU think?” Liz had asked of her, “I’m sorry, I just thought…” Sandy went, not really sure what to think or answer with, “It’s okay. Goodbye, Sandy.” she had told her, at that, the car had started to go, “Liz, wait!” she had shouted, but it didn’t do anything, Liz was gone, and there was no telling if they would ever see each other again.

The three of them had went and walked while Bobo had went and removed his scarf, “If Sandy can learn to breath water, then I can learn to breathe air without a gill scarf.” he had told the pair with Nammu thinking that they were crazy as he had wrapped it around his wrist, “Sure, but it’ll take some practice. You can’t expect to figure it out just like that.” Namor had told him.
Before Bobo could answer him, he started to wheeze instead, starting to crouch down in pain, “Bobo!” Nammu shouted out as people had looked towards them, “Oh, my.” a woman said, not helping at all as they had tried to remove the scarf from his wrist as he had started to gasp, asphyxiating, “C’mon! Cursed knot!” Namor had went and gotten it removed from his arm before they had started to wrap it around his neck.
“I got ya. Deep bread, steady now.” Namor had went, wrapping it around as they had looked at him as he had tried to get up now, “Next time you try something like that, no knots, okay?” Nammu had asked and hearing that, he had nodded to the two, “Y–yeah, okay.” he had told them as they had seen the seen how scared they were and how it made him feel only a little less sure on it all.

The King and Queen of Atlantis were both thinking as Korrahad spoken up, “The reason for allowing the rig to be built in Atlantis was to promote tolerance between our two worlds.” Korra had told him, “And instead, we have Beemer endangering Sandy and Henry.” he had told Korra, losing his Summer mood, “Namor and Beemer, family members, tearing strips off of each other.” he muttered annoyed.
“And Henry, our closest dry ally, calls us savages.” he had went, furious as an angry sea as Korra spoke, “It wasn’t supposed to work out like this.” she had said, getting off of her throne and swimming, “We can’t overturn generations of mistrust in mere months.” she had told him, making him look in surprise, “No, but we can reach the trust of our people.” Thakorr said, making Korra spin, annoyed.
“We’ve come this far, we can’t just tear it down now.” she had told him, wishing that she was able to as her husband got off his throne and approached her, “All we have to fo is halt the flow of oil, not remove the rig.” he said, gently touching her shoulder, “Prove to Atlantis that there are benefits, then start the rig up again.” he went, making Korra give a smirk.
“Hmmm… might teach Henry a thing or two about courtesy, too.” she had told her which had been met with the two of them going and swimming together right now, “Now… let’s go speak to our people.” The King had nodded at that as they had both went and swam down towards the populace so that they could figure out how exactly they were going to be dealing with everything that was going to happen.

“What do you mean, gone?” Bobo had asked in confusion, “Gone where?” he had asked as they were all around a tree as Sandy told them, “But she’s carrying my baby.” he had said, heartbroken in the fact that she would leave him, “It wasn’t her choice. Her parents sent her away.” Sandy had explained towards them as Nammu and Namor had glared towards that.
“If you’re not married uo here when this happens, then they make it very difficult.” she had said, making them both look towards him, “What are you gonna do, Bobo?”Namor had asked of him, Nammu curious too, “Breathe air, and wait for her to come back.” he had said and hearing that, the two of them had both nodded, respecting that as they had both went and embraced him for what might be the last time.

“Beemer!” Zarina had shouted out and hearing that, he had just grumbled and stayed in his bed as Zarina had went and swam towards him, “Enough mouldering in here.” she had ordered, “Time to get up and take action.” she had ordered of him, but Beemer didn’t care, “Leave me be.” he had muttered as Zarina had went and pulled her son to face her now, “Now’s the time to stroke.” she ordered.
“WHAT?” Beemer had asked, annoyed with her schemes “You only just finished berating me for threatening Sandy!” he had told her, annoying Zarina, “Let the public mood guide your actions.” she had told him, “After Namor gave you a beating, he lost their sympathy. They believe the King and Queen are out of touch.” she had explained, confusing him, “Yeah, so?” Beemer had asked.
“So destroy the fig and the people of Atlantis will unite behind you.” she had explained towards him, confusing her son, “You’re giving me permission?” he had asked of her, making Zarina smile, “Your Tri Team friends are waiting for you. GO!” She had ordered and hearing that, he had went to do as much, swimming out now so that he would be able to go and do as much now, his mother not seeing his snarl.

The Tri Team had went and started to hit at the supports, making sure that they were all weak before he and The Tri Team started to swim off, “That’s enough.” he had told the Tri Team, “Let’s go.” they had made sure that the supports were weak enough and as they had done so, the Rig had started to collapse, there was a groaning and creaking before eventually it had fallen and as it had done so, they saw it.
The Oil was rising up, and it was rising up fast, “Was that black stuff part of your plan, Beemer?” one of his friends had said and hearing that, Beemer couldn’t help but look at the scene in shock, “I… don’t know.” he had said as it started to approach, a few already swimming away, “But we can stop it, right?” he had asked as Beemer was getting spooked, “I don’t know.” he had told them.
“We wanted to help you destroy the rig, not cover the ocean in this gunk.” one of them said, making Beemer glare, “C’mon, let’s go fetch help.” another went as the black stuff had started to approach him, almost touching him now, “Hey… wait for me!” he had shouted out before going and swimming after her, all of them going and running away as fast as they possibly could from it.

They were looking out towards The Ocean right now, “So let me get this straight, Bobo: you’re going to stay up here and wait for Liz, but you don’t even know if she’s coming back?” Namor had asked towards him, “She WILL come back and I’ll have a home waiting for her.” Bobo had said, “Bobo…”Nammu had siad towards him, putting a hand on his shoulder when he noticed something.
“Hey… what’s that?” he had asked, confusing both, “What?” Nammu asked, “That dark patch where the oil rig…” he started before they had realized what was happened, “…Used to be.” he had went before Nammu and Namor had went and leapt into the water “Go get Sandy and meet us out there!” Nammu had shouted as Bobo had went to do as much, hoping they weren’t too late.

The black stuff was seeping towards the city and as they had done so, Beemer swam through the crowd, “Gotta find help…” he had went until somebody had went and grabbed his arm, “HEY!” He had snapped only to see that it was his mother, “You fool! What have you done?” Zarina had demanded of him, “Only what you told me to, Mom!” he had argued but she just grew angrier.
“Can’t I trust you to do anything right?” she had questioned of him, “You didn’t TELL me tearing down the rig would make the black stuff get everywhere!” he had snapped as she had turned and swam away, “So what do we do now? He had asked, “We’d better not be around when everyone finds out who did this.” he said, but Zarina wasn’t scared, “We will not run.” she told him.
“We will simply redirect the people’s anger.” she had said before going to the center square to raise her voice, “People of Atlantis, listen!” she had barked out towards them as they swam in panic, Beemer grabbing one that was still swimming, “That means you!” he snapped as Zarina spoke to them all, “The attack on the crust needle is sabotage perpetrated by the dries,” she lied easily.
“An attempt to drive us out of our home.” she said as the crowd started to get angry, “If we flee, Namor and his dry woman will usurp the throne and invite the land–livers to exploit our home.” she told them as they had gotten angry, “FOLLOW ME IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR HOMELAND!” She had shouted and the others were more than happy to follow after

The King and Queen were looking at the darkness that was coming and it had made them both worried, “Your highness, it’s no use.” one of their servants had said, “The rig is destroyed, and the oil is spilling over all of Atlantis.” he had said as Thakorr had sighed, “There’s no stopping it?” he had asked of them, “If we’d been alerted earlier, perhaps.” his Captain Guard said.
“But now we can’t get near the broken pipeline.” he told the royals, “Order your men out of there. If the oil gets into their gills, they’re dead.” he had said, remembering the report from Namora, Nammu and her cousin, “Where’s the boy who sounded the alarm?” Korra had asked the guard who pointed to the teen, “Here, ma’am.” he said as the bald boy had approached.
“Askid, isn’t it?” The Queen had asked, “Yes, ma’am.” Askid had told her, “I know your mother.” she had said towards him, making her angry as she started to swim, “You did the right thing.” she had said, “Now, be of some help and come with us.” she had said as they went to go and help their people in whatever way that they could with danger at their doorstep.

The four of them had looked around at it all, “Beemer wouldn’t be THAT dumb… would he?” Bobo asked, making Nammu glare, “It’s BEEMER.” she had snapped asSandy spoke, “I knew something awful like this would happen.” she had said, “I wish I’d never seen Atlantis… it’s all my fault!” she told them, but Namor shook his head, “No, it’s Beemer’s fault. HE did this.” he told her.
“And we have to get down there and do what we can to stop it.” Nammu had said as she started to swim before Namor grabbed her shoulder, “Don’t be stupid–” he started before Nammu glared at him, making him rethink, “It’ll KILL you! All we can do is help get people AWAY FROM THE OIL.” he had told her and his cousin, “We have to evacuate Atlantis.” he told them when they had heard it.
“There he is!” an Atlantean had shouted out as they had seen the angry mob swimming to them, “Get Namor and the dry woman!” one had shouted, “This is all THEIR fault!” one shouted as Namor got in the front, “Don’t waste your time laying blame… we have to get everyone out of Atlantis before it’s too late!” he had snapped when Beemer and Zarina got into the front.
“You’re not getting off so easy THIS time, Namor!” Beemer had snapped towards him, “You’re responsible for that cursed rig and you have to pay the consequences!” he had said as Namor had gotten angry, “That’s it, this time you’re dead!” he had snapped in anger, going to swim towards him as Bobo and Nammu grabbed at him, “Namor, no!” Sandra told him,
“Don’t give this mob an excuse to kill you!” Sandy had told him, but Namor was furious, “I don’t care, I am not going down without a fight!” he had snapped, the three of them going to attack the mob with their tridents when they heard a voice, “Stop!” a voice said, making them stop and look towards The Royals with Askid on dolphins, “It was Beemer who tore down the rig and caused the spill.” he revealed.
“I know because I helped him.” he said, making the mob turn on him, “What?” one asked as the pair backed away, “It’s a lie, to try and save their precious prince.” she snapped as Askid spoke again, “Beemer didn’t know what he was doing, though.” he had told them, “He was only doing what Zarina told him to.” the young Atlantean said, “Listen to the boy.” Korra had ordered as they got angry.
“So it’s you, then.” one of the mob snapped, “You’ve destroyed Atlantis!” he had said as Namor had went in between them, “No.” he ordered, “As angry as you are, this isn’t the time for revenge.” the Prince had told them, but they still weren’t happy, “Out of the way, or we’ll gut YOU, too.” one said as the King and Queen took charge, “Give me that… before I break it over your skull.” Thakorr snapped to one.
Korra though was gentler as she put her hand on ones shoulder, “There’ll be no gutting while I’m alive, honey.” she had told them, starting to make them calm a bit, “A fine sight…” she had said, “You flapping around trying to kill each other while your own homes and families are destroyed.” she told them, making them ashamed as she started to swim up for them all to see.
“Follow me and we’ll save all we can.” Korra said, “It’s that or stay here and bicker while our city dies.” she had told them all with the glare she had honed, “It’s your choice.” The Queen said before swimming, the others going and swimming as well to try and save what they could, leaving Zarina and Beemer alone, “What should we do?” Beemer asked her as the Black Stuff approached, “Follow them, of course! Now move!”

9/2/1936, Atlantis, Pacific Ocean
The Atlanteans had been put in a camp, the summer palace was evacuated and sitting around each other and the animals, “We do not need an escort!” Beemer snapped, “The guard is for your own safety, you two.” Korra had told them, “Swim out there without protection and you’ll be gutted.” the Queen said as they had been escorted away as Namor and Sandra stood by each other.
“Gran and Grandad have decided we’re to start again in what you call the South Pacific.” Namor had said, going to miss the old Summer Kingdom, “What about Atlantis?” Sandy asked, “Atlantis is wherever Atlanteans live.” he told her, “They want a fresh start, away…” he had said, and Sandy looked away from them with Sandy looking away, Namor stroking her face, “Go on, say it: ‘away from humans’.” she said.
He had looked away as Sandy had looked towards him, “All right, forget dignity… I’m asking you to stay here with me.” she had told him, but Namor didn’t smile at that, “If I had my way I’d stay and SALVAGE Atlantis, to make things right and be with you, but…” he went, looking to her and confusing Sandy, “But?” she had asked him, making Namor sigh, putting hands on his hips.
“I can’t always do what I want.” he told her, “I have a responsibility to help build a New Atlantis and… and learn to be a good leader.” he had said to her, “So you’ve made your choice?” she asked, scared to hear his answer, “How can I?”He had asked her, “How can I choose between the two things I love most in the world?” he had asked of her when they heard the sound of drums so loud the waves started to shake.
“What’s that?” Sandy had asked in confusion, “Drums of the royal guard.” he told her, “It means the migration is beginning.” he said, going to look away, Sandy went to approach when Nammu and Bobo cut him off, “I’ll see Sandy back to the surface.” Bobo told him, but before she could go up, Sandy went to hug his back, “I’ll miss you.” she told him, and he had gently gripped her right wrist, “We’ll see each other again.”
But that wasn’t what she wanted to hear, “Sure, the ocean’s no bigger than my backyard, we’ll always be bumping into each other.” she said, swimming up and crying as she did so, “Sandy!” Namor shouted, but Bobo had went to follow after her, “So long, cuz.” he told him, “Take care.” Bobo said, “We’ll see YOU again, you shell–head.” Nammu said as he had headed to the surface, “Won’t we?” Namorr asked, unsure.
