She would hear him leave the mansion to hunt with his night friends. She would hear the peaceful silence out of her window until she would hear the howls of the wolves meaning they are either singing to their moon or they have caught prey in their jaws knowing he is with them just waiting for him to arrive safe.

The school for gifted youngsters was silent as the night, crickets were chirping and frogs croaking and the wolves were out hunting to prey with their pack member who was both human and mutant.

Logan with the wolves running feeling the air rushing through his body and eyes locked on the deer as the wolves chases their prey.

The deer runs trying to outwit the predators as it jumped over the tree logs and sticks and the wolves closing in but the prey managed to lose them and stopped at the river drinking water not knowing that the predator is watching from top of the rock.

His claws slowly pulled out revealing themselves as he snarls and with a leap with claws at the ready and fangs out the deer didn't stand a chance against the mutant.

The wolves caught up to their member and prey and they all feast on the deer. Logan with his claws he rips out a slab of flesh and dives in, having blood on his mouth as he growls like an animal.

He is an animal.

He learned from his brother Victor that an animal must kill to survive that they are both animals and he killed his father proving that and they both tried to kill each other many times in battles.

As much as he hates himself and his brother he misses him.

He wished he wasn't born to be a mutant or to be alive.

His angered and saddened emotions makes Logan eat his flesh meat more viciously with feral growls as the wolves themselves who feasts on the deer until the mutant caught a familiar scent and soon a breeze came and slowly turned with his usual expression.

Her hair was pale white, her skin like caramel, and her face was beautiful wearing a long white nightgown with African arts.

His storm goddess has found him.

“Logan, I hope the deer was to you and the wolves' liking as the hunt”, the storm goddess landing on the grass with her hair billowing behind her with her robe.

“How did you know I left the mansion, Ro?”

“As soon as I heard you roaming in the halls and you leaving the mansion, Logan”, Ororo answered pulling out a cloth from her robe pocket and walks to the feral mutant and while he stands silent and quiet while blood drips from hands and claws he feels the soft cloth pressing on his mouth while Ororo remained silent herself cleaning the blood residue.

He then gripped her hand a tight grip and his sudden movement made her gasp but fought the adrupted pain as he held a tight grip.

The wolves growls slightly watching the outsider.

“You shouldn't be here, Ro. Go back to the mansion”, the feral mutant said roughly giving her wrist a tight grip but she remained silent and still ignoring the growing pain of her hand.

“No, Logan. I can't leave you like this”

“Yes, you can and you will and…now. Now go!”, he roughly replied with a raised voice and finally released her hand nearly making Ororo fall but she regained her balance and eyes starting to soak.

Logan underneath his feral and dangerous gaze in his heart he felt guilt but he kept his expression the way it was.

“Logan, why do you keep doing this? Doing this to me? I want to help you, to be here with you and for you. But you keep pushing me away. Why? Let me help you”, Ororo said with tears threatening to show but he remained silent in his stoic look then sneered.

“Oh, boo hoo, Ro, you think you are going to make me let you in, you are wasting your time trying to 'help me' so just go back to the mansion and leave me alone. You're making me miss my meal”, he sneered and turned back to the wolves with leftovers of the deer to finish his own meal.

“No, Logan. I'm not leaving you until you talk to me”

He then turned to her, having her look straight into his eyes and soul. “What is there to talk about, Ro? Nothing but crap of shit”, he snarled with his top lip curled like a snarling dog to frighten her off but Ororo stood her ground but the fear was there.

“Nothing, but me being here for you and with you. I want to help you and I am here to show you that and I've been showing and telling you that and that is the truth. That you are not alone. Never. And…I love you”, she said with a voice close to breaking, saying the last words that even Logan took to surprise and again he turned away from her.

“I…I…just go back to the damn mansion, Storm….and leave me…alone”, he wished he had a cigarette or a bottle of beer and as much he wanted to say the same words but he couldn't and he ended his command for her to return and leave him with a growl and both fists shaking from guilt and rage.

Ororo still remained behind him with her eyes shedding and head down, nearly giving up but she loved him. She has to be with him to comfort him and protect him. She can't fail him.

“Logan, I won't let you keep doing this to me. To you. To us. I want to help you. I won't let you do this”, Ororo trying to sound brave and clearing her throat from breaking in tears.

He then turned slowly with an evil sneer and chuckled creepily with his lip curled up as the wolves made their own mocking laughter of snarls and growls. The two mutants again stood face to face and Logan lifted his bloody hand and extended his middle adamantium claw at the bottom of her chin and deep nearly drawing blood but Ororo stood her ground.

“Oh really, darlin, and how do you plan to stop me, Ro do tell?” he asked calmly, pressing his claw deeper making Ororo feel a burn then felt her blood from the bottom of the chin as he smiled that resembled the feral smile of his brother. Ororo ignoring the bleed from the bottom of her chin she sucked the tears and inhaled shakily looking deep into his eyes.

“Please, Logan, I love you and I want to help you. I will stay by your side as the others of our family. The X-Men. But by you and only you as the man I love and no matter what you do or say I will stay by you, Logan”, Ororo said with a stoic face and her voice held the truth and no lies in them. Logan didn't say a word after hearing her little speech and he ordered his middle claw back in his hand and turned back to the wolves as they stood silent and the deer was now in bones.

“I don't want to hurt you, darlin, more than I already have, Ro. And…I have lost many people I have cared about in my fucked up life…and..and I don't want to let more in for me to lose them, Ro. I can't lose anymore people I care about and love. I can't…lose you cause…I just can't, Ororo. I just can't”, Logan said coldly fighting his own tears as he ducked his head down clenching his eyes shut and slightly gritted his teeth to fight the tears not wanting to see her leave. Then he snapped his eyes open as he soon felt a pair of arms wrapped around his waist and felt pressure on his shoulder of Ororo's head resting. Logan felt he was melting in her embrace as he and his body relaxed and closed his eyes and inhaled her sweet scent.

“Ro…”

“Logan…”

Both were speechless to say another word until Ororo said her words.

“I know you are afraid of losing those you hold dear to you, Logan. I understand. I too have lost many of those I cared about but now….we both have a second chance. We have a new life, a new home and a family and we have each other now. We must learn to let go of our pasts and our sins and not let them all control our hearts and heal and forgive ourselves”, Ororo said with wiseness and Logan chuckled weakly, listening to every word knowing she was right.

“Hehe, you sound like Chuck, darlin”, Logan said with a grin turning to face her having her release him as she smiled.

“Professor taught me well, taught us all well. After all I see him as my own father, Logan”, she said with familial love for Charles Xavier who saved her from her warlord father and brought her to her new home, family and life and became hers and all gifted souls' teacher to train their dangerous and gifted abilities.

“Heh, you got that right”, Logan agreed then looked down at his bloodied hands that were dried from the deer and he looked at her with sadness.

“Ororo, I'm sorry”

She said nothing then places both hands on the blood-covered hands of his then she leans forward and places her lips on his own and he closed his eyes feeling her lips on his and lifted both his hands and embraced her as the kiss was becoming more intense and Ororo took off her robe having fall on the forest ground and Logan unzipped his jeans then Ororo ended the kiss and looked at Logan and her nightgown. He then pulled out his claw then without stabbing his love he made a hole in the cloth and ripped her gown unleashing her silk body.

He then leaned to her lips as he growled her name as she whispered his name then they kissed again more deep and devoted as the clouds were showing and the smell of rain was slowly coming into the air and the wolves took off into the forest shadows.

The rain was pouring to light to heavy rain as the lovers deepened their moment of intimacy both soaked in the rain but they didn't care. Just each other.

“Ororo…Storm…don't leave me..don't ever leave me”, he snarled with a hint of beg.

“Logan…Wolverine…never…never leave you…but don't you ever leave me”

He wrapped an arm around her bottom and leg, gently lowered her on the robe and the rain soon became more deep and hard with sounds of thunder.

“Never…ever”

Howls were heard in the dead of night in the rainstorm.
