Perfectly imperfect

Yelena loves how Kate always try to be positive. Even in the trickiest situations, no matter how bad things seem, Yelena can always count on Kate to hype everyone up. The kindness and innocence in Kate's heart truly amazes Yelena, and sometimes she wishes it'd rub off on her. Kate's positivity is one of the first things Yelena fell in love with, even if she claims to dislike it whenever someone brings it up. Yelena knows she needs someone just like that in her life. Someone who will not give up hope on anything. Including her. 

Yelena hates how Kate will wear two different socks. She keeps imagining that it's her wearing them, and then, her toes will curl in disgust. Not only does Kate wear mismatched socks, but sometimes she'll even wear different model socks. One made of cotton and the other of plastic bottles, giving them an entirely different feel on each foot. The bottom line for Yelena was when Kate walked out of their bedroom, still in sleeping shorts, with one ankle sock and one regular. Yelena swore she was seconds away from throwing a frying pan at her girlfriend. 

Yelena loves Kate's humor. Her quick wit and stupid hilarious dad jokes. Whenever Yelena has a bad day, she can't wait to come home to her girlfriend, who'll tell her a bunch of crappy jokes she thought of throughout the day. Yelena also loves how annoyed everyone acts when her girlfriend jokes about them. But Yelena can tell they all love Kate almost as much as she does. 

Yelena hates how messy Kate is. She'll leave plates and clothes everywhere. After Kate spends the morning getting ready it looks like a bomb exploded in their bathroom. Makeup, wet wipes and moisturizer scattered all around the small sink. Yelena hates it, she likes things clean and neat. Kate always claims she'll clean it up later, and in the beginning, Yelena believed her. But she's learned over time that it can take Kate days until she actually does anything about the problem. So more often than not, Yelena will clean up the mess Kate made, for the simple reason that she can't stand the knowledge of it even existing in her home. 

Yelena loves how forgiving Kate can be. That no matter how many times Yelena messes up, Kate will be there and accept her apology. She'll teach Yelena the appropriate way to act so they won't face the same problem again. Yelena loves that even though Kate forgives her she still sets up boundaries for herself, like making Yelena talk about what lead up to the problem at hand or asking for the space she needs until she can be fully attached to Yelena again. Kate doesn't sweep it under the rug, but she would never hold a grudge against her girlfriend for it. And Yelena truly loves Kate for that. 

Yelena hates how careless and reckless Kate is. Kate throws herself in dangerous situations without a second thought way too often for Yelena's liking. It was even the reason for the pair's first meeting, and Kate was in way over her head. All Yelena wants is to protect the person she cares about the most, but it's hard to do that when Kate regularly finds herself in sticky situations that often leads to her making careless and reckless decisions that can possibly endanger her. And Yelena absolutely hates the mare thought of that. 

Yelena loves how caring Kate is when it comes to Lucky and Fanny. She loves the way Kate always fixes her hair in different braids or hairstyles. She loves that Kate always knows when Yelena's favorite snacks are about to run out and goes to the store solely for that reason. Yelena loves how much Kate loves archery and how happy it makes her. She loves that no matter how many times they meet, Kate will always fangirl over Natasha. She loves how patient and understanding Kate is when it comes to their relationship. And she loves the way Kate always make her feel like she's enough. 

Yelena loves Kate, plain and simple.
