Bucky was in the middle of Twiliight Princess when he swung his arm. Only to have it stopped by Peter whose head would’ve been taken off. Peter smiled “Jamie, perfect timing I need to tell you something.” Ok first of all, this wasn’t perfect timing but ok. And secondly Buck knew to pick his battles when it comes to semantics. He’d thought about trying to yank his arm free. But ever since that trip to Oscorp Pete’s grip strength has tripled. He’d pop his shoulder out first then Peter would feel bad and yeah..
Peter let go of his arm “anyway so I made a life changing discovery.” His excitement made Bucky smile and ‘life changing’ in regards to his baby brother. Can range from discovering milk and coffee. To finally figuring out where the mouse in his room is. Peter named it Squeem but anyway, Pete continued. He gestured to his footwear and Buck’s brain came to screeching halt. When he didn’t say anything Peter elaborated. “I figured out how to walk in 6 inch heels!!” Bucky had so many questions starting with when he got those but also. Wondering if Peter bugged his room or laptop because he’s had a thing for heels since middle school. He swallowed “that’s great Pete.. any special occasion or..” Buck let it trail off. Peter answered “oh I was hoping to wear them to the Gala Mr. Stark is hosting.” Pete has also been the personal assistant to Tony as a part time gig. Since winning the Manhattan science fair last year something Buck still thought was suspect.
When Bucky proved to have the conversation skills of dry wall. Peter wandered off leaving him to his thoughts. After that encounter it shouldn’t have been as shocking as it was when Peter showed up to the house. At 2am dressed in Gucci and Gabbana but he was anyway. Having stayed up late to grind out some Halo Reach in multiplayer with Clint. Peter walked by and Bucky nearly dropped his controller on his foot. It was clearly a walk of shame and Bucky noted that he was in a full face of make up. Not that Buck minds Peter has always liked androgynous stuff like make up and feminine clothing. It was the fact that the stuff he was in was expensive.. we’re talking at least half a decade of credit card debt.
And let’s not even talk about all the times he would catch Peter sneaking back in at all hours of the night. Or why Buck after years of being extremely close to his baby brother. Is now on restricted access to the younger’s room. Bucky could drive himself mad trying to figure it out and probably make his therapist consider committing him to the bin again. Or he could just chalk it up to Peter has his own life after all they are in college.
