Chapter 2
If one is to ask about YOUR flaw in many cases people would embellish for many reasons. Kitty Pryde supposed her biggest flaw is how she would go beyond for the people she loves, how she would really cross any line but at the same time, admit such flaw would make others think there's something wrong with you.. Kitty wouldn't fit in if she speaks so honest..Kitty wouldn't ever fit in.
Jean Grey, sits the recruit down, a formality as the red hair assured. The young woman seems to be adapting well to the new life, even Scott notice - then no one can be sure of what Kitty is really feeling Curious, her mental barrier are so strong. - Jean is accommodating, warmly as she greets Kitty Pryde. "Hi Kitty, enjoying the experience?" Jean asked still feeling the block on her mind.
Kitty nodes minutely. "It's all too new for me. I'm a bit scared" Kitty reveals as her fingers trace the arm of her chair, phasing effortless. "Does my powers have any limits?" Kitty asked bitting her inner check.
Jean's eyes are full of compassion. Been there, done that.
Jean remembers Hank's explanation of Kitty's powers and the theories of what she can do, in the future, providing she gets a proper training. "You don't need to be afraid. We, the X-Men, look out for each other" Jean assured her. "You are having any issues with your powers lately"
Kitty shakes her head. "I just....sometimes it feels less, sometimes it feels more" Kitty responds conveying her feelings the best her abilities.
Jean blinks and leans closer to Kitty. "Is she here?"
Kitty blinks back. "What?"
"Nothing, sorry. I guess. I'm using telekinesis too much, it cause migraine" Jean used an old and classic joke about telekinesis but sadly Kitty doesn't seem to get. She just titled her head a bit. "If you are having trouble with your powers or to fit in ..." Jean Grey offered support. Kitty Pryde thanked her.
Kitty rose her chair. Looking at Jean Grey in her own chair, Jean's smile dies as she notices Kitty is not staring at her.
"Is she here?"
"Not exactly" Kitty replied and adds. "magpies don't stay here for longer" Kitty points to the window, and how outside the window there a big tree full of magpies but is clearly their staying is shorting. The nest is empty...no more reason to stay.
Jean looks back.
There is nothing more than a few birds staring at her.
"Oh...sure." Jean answers feeling silly. What I was expecting ?
Kitty is outside the room, looking at the closed door. "It feels wrong" Kitty confessed. The air usually wouldn't respond, until it does.
"Maybe, but I'm not ready for the exposure. Telepaths, as I learned....usually react funny to me" Zaorva explained patiently. There's no human form, per se, Zaorva is a among of breeze, linguid and at the same time shapeless.
"Your Prof X is the best case here. He keeps trying to feel my presence....which is not something I like" Zaorva confessed mildly. "It's why he is always in that room, maximizing his powers. Humans aren't meant to...detected me if I don't want to" Zaorva warned.
Kitty blinks. She must have her reasons.
Ororo Monroe took the new recruit as a good asset and part of the family. Kitty Pryde is an odd but funny girl, and Ororo can't help by feeling a bit protective. Maybe is her older sister streak speaking out after all Kitty is an adult but is the younger one in the group.
I heard she talking about a fairy. Ororo remembers and her face contorted in a concern and curious one. All laced together. Normally, I would tease it...but I really, really feel something there. Hm, magic exists of course, but is Kitty a magic user?
" 'Ro?" Logan calls her gaining her attention. The man has a beer in hands. Ororo accepted graciously. "Spacing out again?"
"Just wondering about some things, Logan" Ororo takes a sip of her beer and then continues. "You do know many people and many creatures, have you meet a fairy?"
Logan arch an eyebrow. "Once, through...I wouldn't call them a fairy, hm, not in the Disney like way. One fae, fairy, fair folks, whatever they like to be called," Logan reveals grunting. "Tried to kill me, well, that thing got the short end of the stick" Logan smirks as it shows his claws.
"Why?" Logan asked.
Ororo blinks. "I think Kitty could be a magical user...when I'm near her...I feel a magic presence"
Logan mulls this. Considering the woman's words carefully. "Then.... I'm not sure, maybe we can call Dr. Strange. But Ro, faes aren't friendly bunch...you think half print is in danger?" His claws pop up and Ororo knows this man would kill a fae if Storm tells so.
Ororo shakes her head. "No. I just think she has magic, I could be wrong but ...."
"I trust you! If you think there magic... it's worth exploring" Logan agreed never once thinking how little evidence Ororo has.
Ororo feels relief. If anything, Logan is always on her side.
Kurt Wagner is not sure what to think of his new companion. Kitty is a lovely person, but sometimes ...in the rare moments under the full moon, Kurt has the feeling there a third party in their conversations.
Maybe is because how well she took my apparences? I wasn't expecting someone so young to ...be so calm about that
Kurt Wagner hear about a new recruit and wants to know her. Jean, thanks to her telepathy, warned him how Kitty is a young woman and may be frighten by his looks. Which is a nice heads up to give as Kurt is aware how his handsome looks can be interpreted.
However, Kitty seems to find him easily in the kitchen. The woman has a heart shaped face, brown and curly hair, brown hair in such doe eyes and looks at him in awe. "Hi, are you a real elf?" Asked with such awe as if this is a big revelation.
Kurt wasn't expecting for this. "No, fair maiden. I'm more a swashbuckler type"
"You can still be an elf and be a swashbuckler type" Kitty informed. Introduced herself and Kurt is not one to pass a chance to know a new pretty woman of the team.
"Sometimes...I feel a bit of magic on her, it's my impression?" Kurt asked to no one as he is alone in his room. His family dabbled in magic with disastrous consequences...what if Kitty is dabbling magic too?
I have to be sure...
Sometimes she talks about a Zaorva....and I have seen mermaids before....fairies aren't that impossible.
But I don't believe a fae would be someone's friend.
The hellfire club is managing themselves, after all, luxurious place with BSDM on the side doesn't keep without spending some money. Above the fireplace there a big image of a fire bird.
Emma Frost is looking at the bills. "not sure why Shaw is so worried...we aren't losing money" her eyes goes to the painting. "Beside, we have far more important things to worry"
She is coming....are we ready?
