Power Pact: the unequal sharing of powers and abilities combined with a mental and emotional bond.
The user must always be bonded to someone. A contract can only end once a new one begins. The user can share any and all abilities and powers with their bond - this is most often the bond’s power being utilized by the user. In return, the user enhances their bond’s powers and abilities, including athleticism.
The bond has the ability to demand enhancement forcefully as well as restrict the use of their own powers by the user whenever they choose. The two are connected mentally and emotionally - this means that once bonded, they care for each other, or at least become constantly focused on the other in some way.
The bond is inclined to act as a sort of guardian towards the user, though this can manifest differently depending on the person and their relationship with the user. All mental and emotional bonds differ, just as no two people are exactly the same. In turn, this means that the user is inclined to trust their bond almost unconditionally. They feel the instinctual need to obey them, and though they can resist this urge, it is extremely difficult and somewhat painful.
The mental part of the bond can also manifest in several ways. In most, if not all cases, they can sense the others’ presence as well as their extreme emotions. When one of them is in danger, most often the user, the other can sense it and locate them easily. In some cases where the two have very high chemistry, they may be able to communicate telepathically.
In order to bond with someone, both parties must have exposed blood on their hands. Once this is achieved, they hold hands while focusing deeply on the other person, either looking into the other’s eyes or syncing their breaths - whatever feels better for the bond at the moment, because each person is different. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes, and near the end, the user gets a flow of information on how to use their bond’s power, and the bond gets a similar flow of information for how to use the users power.
The purpose of the blood is to share DNA, through which the power and knowledge of it will be transferred. This has some side effects, such as the user sharing some genetic traits of their bond. For example, while they are bonded to someone, their hair may change color, or they may take on some other inherited characteristic from their partner.
