worthless cake
Summary
Karina wants to know everything about the strange creatures that inhabit this planet, and Giselle wants to know the end of the rainy season and a course of psychotherapy. They are baking a cake.

— What does the word "uselessness" mean?
Karina is sitting at the kitchen table, trying to remember if this was explained to them at home.

- That is, you know everything about space and mechanical engineering, but on your B-360 or whatever it is called, you were not told about the basic feelings of people?
Giselle takes out a cigarette from the pack, trying to stir the cream in the bowl. It turns out lousy.

- We were not told that.
The alien lowers her head and picks her fingers, she is a little embarrassed.

When she flew here on a mission, she thought that everything would be great, that she would be met by interesting creatures, a new world, a galaxy. And that's how it was, until she met people. Most were so focused on their problems, dilemmas, and troubles that they didn't even pay attention to her.

But she had a lot of questions, she wanted to run and scream out of curiosity. Everything was .. new? Of course, she was going to be disappointed in the technology, because on the B-360 they had already jumped ahead, but in everything else it was a new world. These "people" had feelings, emotions. This fascinated her the most.

- Hey, Karin, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry
Giselle tries to cheer up the guest with a smile.

- Why do you call me Karina? Does it have some hidden meaning?

- No, I won't call you every time: Space agent of the IBM section number A173 *note at the end of the work

"You are so strange, you make everything more convenient for you."

- By the way, about worthlessness. You know what?
Giselle shakes her tobacco, giving her a questioning look.

- What?

- This is the worst feeling on the planet, as if you are dangling helplessly in the middle of an ocean of thoughts, worries, and no one will help you. And on top of that, you're also afraid to call for help, because you can't be weak and feel some kind of pain. Society says so.

- Why is this happening?
Karina does not understand how the same society sincerely protects the rights of others, and now does not allow negative feelings about it. It's strange somehow.

- Because people are full of idiots, and the vast majority of them are also selfish. Nobody cares about you, they only care about themselves. The paradox emerges.
The cream is finally brought to the right consistency. You can decorate.

- Help?
The agent gets up from the table to at least somehow help, not just to distract with conversations.

- Yes, hold the spatula, spread it on the biscuit, while I bring the candles.
Giselle puts out her cigarette and goes into the living room. The jewelry must have fallen somewhere in the shells.

- And yet, people are so interesting and strange at the same time. It's as if there is such an incredible world around them, and they look only at their feet, and in the mirror in the morning. Can they be blamed for this? Probably not, it is everyone's choice, and whether it is right. How to understand what is right and what is not, what things fit into the norms accepted by the same society. This world is so paradoxical.

- You, finish your philosophy, let me put in the candles and we will celebrate your birthday.

- Why today?

- Why not, you still said that you don't know the exact date.

———

The candles are lit, it has been raining for days outside the window, the girl has even stopped counting, the season is in no way. She looks to the left, Karina is sitting on the sofa and blowing out the candles.

They have only known each other for 4 hours, an alien just ran up to her and asked to tell about the world. And Giselle was so tired of the disgusting thoughts in her head that switching to such a strange thing was normal. Probably even correct.

- Something will be correct, something will not. You don't always have to listen to what others tell you, sometimes your inner voice can tell the truth. And sometimes you have to forget about emotions. Karina, I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but promise me you'll never feel worthless, okay?

Karina is a little surprised by such a sudden monologue, such different opinions, but it seems that they all have a common essence. She decides to agree, judging by the stories of her friend, the feeling of worthlessness is really bad.

It is also raining outside the window, but maybe now Giselle would go out on it, it seems that her guest has never walked in such weather. They still have time to fix it.
