Behind a building
Peter dodges a swing from a knife.
"Woah Buddy, Be careful. You almost hit me with that. You don't wanna do that." He says mockingly as he swings up above the masked guy and webs him to the ground. He kicks he knife out his hand and is caught off guard when he feels a sharp pain in his side. He turns and sees a new masked man stab him. The man looks shocked at what he did and runs away. Peter leans against the wall of a building and holds a hand to his side. He feels his heart-rate pick up in speed when his hand comes up red. He stumbles down the nearby alleyway where he collapses on the ground.
"K-Karen... call T-Tony." He manages to mutter before black spots cover his vision.
He hears a familiar voice as he looses consciousness.
***************
Tony was working in the lab one night when he was abruptly cut off by Friday.
"Sorry to interrupt, Boss, But Karen reported an incoming call from Peter."
Tony pauses.
"Answer, Friday."
Tony was expecting to hear Peter's bubbly voice talking about a little kitten he just saved from a tree. That was partly the reason why he was so confused to hear silence besides for some beeping cars in the distance and the sound of heavy breathing. Now that he realized it, the breathing sounded a lot like Peter's.
"Peter? Are you okay?"
Nothing.
"Peter?"
Still nothing.
"Karen? Status report."
"Peter seems to have received a stab wound that just barely missed his stomach. He is passed out and is currently showing signs of severe blood loss. He requires medical attention as soon as possible."
Before Karen could even finish speaking, Tony jumps up and races to the nearest suit and bolts it outside.
"Pinpoint his location, Friday. And tell Cho to prepare the Medbay." He says, roughly, trying to hide his fear.
Tony follows the pin until he comes across and abandoned alleyway. he lands on the ground and leaves his suit as he runs over to the limp body on the floor.
"Peter! Goddamnit."
Tony feels for a pulse and is relieved when he feels one, weak, but there. He gently removes the loose hand on top of the source of all the blood. and examines the wound. Tony was seconds away from a panic attack when he saw his own hands covered in blood. Peter's blood. His anxious thoughts were cut off by the sound of weak groaning. He looks up at Peter's extremely pale face and plasters on a fake smile as the boy's eyes slightly open.
"Hey buddy. Good boy. Eyes open for me."
Peter slowly blinks as he brain tries to understand what's going on.
"I'm going to fly you now. Is that okay?"
Peter remains still for a few seconds as he digests the information before nodding.
"Good job."
Tony, carefully as could be, lifts the boy up and flies him in the sky and as fast as he could to the tower. His heart drops as the boy passes out once again. Tony crashes into the window in the hallway outside the Medbay, covering Peter with his own body, as to protect him from frozen glass. He rushes into the Medbay and lays Peter on the gurney. Cho and her team rush over and take over. One of the doctors gestures Tony to over to the waiting room.
"He's in good hands, Mr. Stark. We'll let you know when he's out of surgery."
Tony nods and the doctor disappears.
Tony sinks into the chair and cries.
*******************
Peter feels something weird under his nose blowing cool air. He sleepily tries to remove it when he feels a warm hand move it away.
"uh bup bup bup. Gotta keep that on Spider-baby."
Peter's eyebrows furrow in confusion. He opens his eyes and blinks as they adjust to the bright light. He soon meets the eyes of a familiar man.
"Mis'r s'ark?" he mumbles.
Tony smiles "You got it in one, kid. Only missing the 'T's"
Peter yawns.
"you 'kay?"
Tony bends down in front of the medical bed and pushes back the sweaty curls off the forehead and kisses it.
"I'm okay. Are you okay, Mister 'blood loss'?"
Peter blinks in confusion and Tony laughs.
"Tired.." He slurs.
"You can sleep, baby. I'm right here. You're gonna be okay."
With that, Peter's eyes close and he drifts off to sleep, comforted by his dad's presence.
