Wonder Woman looked through the binoculars, grimacing when she saw what was happening in the TNT Twins mansion, "Oh no." she shook her head, pulling the binoculars away and handing them to Hughie.
"What is it?" Phantom questioned, trying to get the binoculars from Hughie, but Wonder Woman stopped her, "Don't. Just don't." she muttered, squeezing Phantom's shoulder and glaring at Butcher, "You failed to mention that it was Herogasm." she glared, pulling Phantom farther from the distant sight.
Soldier Boy looked through the binoculars, watching a few people screw themselves silly. He glanced at Butcher while Phantom shook her head, "I can't believe this thing is still alive." she sighed, looking up at Wonder Woman when she scoffed, "And you know about this how?" the Supe questioned, not liking the fact that a sixteen-year-old knew about a Supe orgy.
"Mind telling us how the fuck you know about this?" Soldier Boy added, not letting go of the binoculars while Butcher smirked at the idea of Herogasm.
Phantom shrugged, looking at Soldier Boy, "Swatto had a big mouth, thinking he was the luckiest person to get invited with a bunch of C-Listers." she answered, making the two Supes roll their eyes.
Wonder Woman shook her head, "You're staying here. End of story." she said, not listening to any argument Phantom might've had.
"Fucking Herogasm. Had no idea it was still a thing." Butcher smirked while Soldier Boy scoffed, "It's my thing. I founded it in '52. Me and this other Supe, Liberty. Man, was she a firecracker." he chuckled, looking through the binoculars.
Wonder Woman nudged his shoulder, "You're disgusting. I don't know why they kept this going. It was horrid and inhumane, not to mention the poor women and men who went missing afterwards." she sighed, squeezing Phantom's hand when the young Supe took hold of her hand.
"There are a lot of people in there." Hughie said, worried about Soldier Boy and his unpredictable abilities. His anxiety only spiked when Soldier Boy seemed to understand the hidden meaning in his words, "Well, as long as they stay out of my way, they'll be fine." he said, gruffly.
Before the tension could rise, Wonder Woman sighed, "Give us three minutes. Hughie and I will jump in and out. We'll have an exact location on the twins and tell you where to find them. No one will be in your way," she explained, looking at Phantom, "I don't want to see you in there at all. No matter what." the Supe added, not waiting for any argument as she took off in a run across the backyard.
As Wonder Woman made her way through the backyard, she soon stepped into the mansion. The moment she stepped inside, regret filled her body.
There was nothing but people screwing themselves with no end in sight.
Wonder Woman stumbled through the bodies of orgies, "Oh dear God." she muttered, trying to keep her eyes on the floor as she struggled to find the twins.
She continued to look through the mansion, gasping when someone suddenly grabbed her arm. She tried to jerk away, growing slightly panicked when she saw a naked man was attempting to lure her into some sex pile.
"Oh! No, no, no. Let me go." Wonder Woman said, not wanting to use her brute force against anyone. She knew most people here had no choice other than the fact they'd be paid for their services. If anything at all.
When Wonder Woman drew closer to the pile, she frowned, "I'm sorry." she quickly said before shoving the man off, sending him to the ground.
The Supe walked off and expected that to be the end of it, but of course she was wrong.
Wonder Woman stopped again when people began to crowd her. Women dressed in leather while men held different toys and whips. They all began to gravitate towards her.
The sight of everyone coming near made Wonder Woman shake her head, "No, I'm not here for sex. Nothing like that." she quickly said, unable to get away in time.
Her panic only grew the closer they got. Wonder Woman didn't want to hurt anyone, but just as she was about to shove them away, everyone began to get pulled off her.
"Fuck off." Soldier Boy said, his voice low and colder than expected. He grabbed a man, shoving him away. The force of the shove gave everyone else the idea to quickly leave.
Wonder Woman sighed and looked at Soldier Boy, raising an eyebrow when he looked around, "I forgot how... Touchy these assholes could get. You ok?" he questioned, his voice becoming a fraction softer than it had been previously.
"I'm fine, thanks." Wonder Woman answered, not saying anything when she felt Soldier Boy's hand on the small of her back.
It wasn't anything new. Soldier Boy always did that back in Payback. Nothing more and nothing less.
Wonder Woman looked at Soldier Boy, "Come on, we might as well look together." she said, patting his chest before the two Supes continued through the mansion together.
They walked through the halls and down towards the basement of the mansion. Wonder Woman stood beside Soldier Boy, stopping when she caught sight of M.M.
He was changing into a new shirt, but his face fell when he saw the two Supes.
Wonder Woman's shoulders tensed before she felt Soldier Boy nudge her towards the stairs, "Go." he ordered, not giving any room for arguments.
Wonder Woman looked at M.M. until she finally turned and walked back to the main floor. She was tempted to turn back when she heard a hiss as some sort of gas filled the basement.
She continued to look around, ignoring most everyone who attempted to lure her into their sex piles. She really hated Herogasm.
Her mind remained focused, walking into a den that was in the middle of the mansion. Wonder Woman stepped inside and stopped, seeing the TNT Twins and listening as they argued over something.
"What's with the collar?" Wonder Woman questioned, unable to fight her smile when the twins turned to look at her.
Tommy stared at her in shock, "Diana?" he questioned, his voice breathless while Tessa managed to plug in the TiVo.
Wonder Woman's eyes widened when she saw someone using the restroom. She quickly averted her eyes, feeling herself grow slightly nauseous at the sight, "Oh." she muttered, not comfortable and confused. What happened to them? She thought to herself.
"Hiya, kids. That poop chute's had a workout, huh? Looks like the Lincoln Tunnel." Soldier Boy said, suddenly appearing beside Wonder Woman.
Tessa gasped as she quickly unplugged the TV. Wonder Woman noticed their fear, grabbing Soldier Boy's arm, "Ben." she warned, seeing the twins look at one another in fear.
A moment of silence passed before Tessa stepped forward, "Nicaragua wasn't our fault." she quickly said, trying to buy time... For anything.
Soldier Boy's eyes narrowed, "Then whose fault was it? If you tell me, maybe I'll let you go." he said, seeing Tommy instantly crack, "It was Noir. It was Noir's idea, top to bottom. He gave you and Phantom to the Russians. Please." he begged, wanting to get away.
Wonder Woman tilted her head, not sure if she should believe his words. She looked at Soldier Boy when he scoffed, "Noir? Noir wouldn't take a shit without Vought's say-so." he spat before his shoulders began to tense.
"Ben?" Wonder Woman questioned, seeing Soldier Boy's face morph to an expression of pain... And slight fear, "Ben." she called again, her hand hovering over his shoulder. She didn't want to accidentally set him off by a sudden touch.
She could hear Tessa and Tommy begging for their lives, but her own worry grew when Soldier Boy's began to glow bright.
Wonder Woman stepped back, looking around at the room of people, "Everyone, run!" she shouted, trying to warn as many people.
Just before Soldier Boy could blast everyone to smithereens, Wonder Woman grabbed as many people as she could. She didn't care as their naked bodies squished against her skin. She needed to save someone.
Wonder Woman ran through the mansion, trying to find a way out for everyone. The people in Wonder Woman arms held onto her, crying and screaming as Soldier Boy's chest grew brighter.
Once Wonder Woman was near the door, she quickly threw the person in her right arm over her shoulder. She grabbed her lasso and swung it towards the door handle, yanking it open.
Without a moment to lose, Wonder Woman grabbed the people back into her arms and threw them out of the mansion to safety. She slid to a stop, wanting to turn and help more people.
But she didn't have the chance to.
Wonder Woman was suddenly thrown back by a large gust of dust and wind. She yelped, feeling herself get thrown through the wall and the glass windows.
She landed on the grass, rolling until she finally came to a brutal stop, thanks to a rock pile. Wonder Woman's head felt as if it was held underwater, her senses slow to come back as she struggled to stand.
Her body ached from being forced through brick and glass. She didn't have the strength to stand yet, unable to find balance as she fell back to her knees.
A gasp left Wonder Woman's lips, seeing shards of glass embedded in her left leg. Wonder Woman groaned, trying to force herself to stand once more, but she fell back with a yell when someone grabbed her shoulders.
"Shit! It's just me, Diana! Damnit!" Phantom cursed, holding her shoulders, "I swear to God, what the hell happened?" she questioned, looking at the mansion's ruins.
It was no doubt that the TNT Twins and many more were dead.
Wonder Woman looked and felt her heart drop, seeing the destruction Soldier Boy caused. She bit back a groan, attempting to stand once more, "Help me up." she said through gritted teeth, wrapping her arm around Phantom's shoulder.
Phantom gave no argument, helping Wonder Woman stand. She held Wonder Woman's arm over shoulders, seeing the glass shards in her leg, "Holy shit, Diana." she said, curling her fingers to try and bring some relief to Wonder Woman's pain.
"Not here. I'll bleed everywhere if we take them out now. Later," she assured, letting Phantom help her limp across the grass and back into the mansion, "and what'd I tell you about language?" she added, not able to help herself in correcting Phantom's language.
When the two Supes finally made it back inside, seeing Soldier Boy back in the basement with Butcher. Wonder Woman pulled away from Phantom, looking at the two men, "What happened?" she questioned, looking at Soldier Boy.
Soldier Boy glanced at Wonder Woman, seeing her injured leg and seeing Phantom. He was about to speak when someone stepped into the basement.
The three Supes and Butcher turned, looking at the figure. Wonder Woman tilted her head, seeing that the man looked familiar. He looked like the picture Mel had shown her in the car.
Phantom narrowed her eyes, seeing that it was Homelander. She held Wonder Woman up before curling her fingers, helping Wonder Woman's leg go numb and painless for the time being.
Wonder Woman soon pulled from Phantom's hold, standing on her own while Homelander looked at the makeshift group, "William Butcher, Soldier Boy, Wonder Woman... And Phantom," he smirked, a chuckle leaving his lips, "I should've seen this coming. You're all behind this. This whole thing. It really is all about me. William, we made a deal to fight to the death, you and me. This is cheating. Deal's off." he explained before blasting Butcher into the wall via his laser eyes.
Everyone watched and Wonder Woman grabbed her shield, seeing Homelander continue forward. Phantom readied herself, stepping to the side when Homelander blasted Wonder Woman back.
Wonder Woman used her shield, blocking Homelander's lasers as her back hit the wall. She fell back to the ground, not fazed by the sudden attack. She narrowed her eyes, smirking when Homelander attempted to do the same to Phantom.
Phantom blocked Homelander's lasers, not budging from her spot as a shield of red energy protected her. The shield remained strong as Homelander tried to bring her down, but they soon locked eyes.
"I know you." Phantom whispered, her eyes glowing red as her abilities began to find their way inside Homelander's head.
Before Phantom could crack inside the Supe's head, she pulled back when the lasers stopped and Homelander flew forward, aiming to fly through her.
Phantom grit her teeth as she swung her hand to the side, conjuring a blast of energy and redirecting Homelander towards Soldier Boy.
Homelander fell through the air before he grabbed Soldier Boy, pinning him against the wall with a grunt. He was about to laser Soldier Boy when Wonder Woman grabbed her lasso, wrapping it around Homelander's neck.
Without wasting a second, Wonder Woman grit her teeth as she yanked Homelander's body over her own until he crashed into the ground.
The moment Homelander hit the ground, Wonder Woman tightened her hold around her lasso before she grabbed her shield. She stood strong, using her shield to block another round of Homelander's lasers.
As Wonder Woman stood her ground, she noticed Phantom in the corner of her eye. The Supe was standing beside Soldier Boy, the both of them planning something.
Wonder Woman took a moment before she pulled Homelander to his feet, giving Soldier Boy the opportunity to punch him.
The force of the punch caused Homelander to stumble before he attempted to elbow Wonder Woman in the abdomen, but his body was suddenly wrapped in the familiar red.
Phantom stepped forward from Soldier Boy, using her abilities to pull Homelander towards Soldier Boy. She smirked when Homelander and Soldier Boy took themselves into another brawl.
"Nice work." Wonder Woman nodded, rolling her shoulders while Phantom lowered her hands, "Thanks," she retorted, turning when she saw M.M. and Starlight, "I'm guessing they're friends of yours." she said, nudging Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman turned to see the two of them in the destruction. She saw M.M. grab a gun, aiming to shoot Soldier Boy, "Wait," she quickly said as she and Phantom walked towards them, "M.M., people arehurt and they need someone to help them. If you take that gun and shoot Ben, nothing will be better... And I'm so sorry for it. I truly am and I know somewhere inside Ben, he grieves that night."
"I remember that night," Phantom suddenly said, looking at M.M. with a frown, "I remember because he came back and locked himself away for hours. He even went as far to ask me to change the reality of what had happened. He wanted to change everything because he saw a little boy in the ruins. He saw a family and he was terrified." she explained, looking into his eyes.
"I don't know you very well and I doubt you'd want to know me, but Soldier Boy doesn't control you," Phantom said with a small sigh, "Soldier Boy shouldn't have control over you because he doesn't have control over himself. You have to let him go, please. People need your help and they're not going to get it by you killing Soldier Boy." she whispered, listening to the grunts and punches of Soldier Boy and Homelander.
But she made no move to go back into the fight. Phantom remained with M.M. as she continued to explain, "Your family, I am sorry. I really am... But it's time to lay it to rest. I'm not saying forever, but just until the time is right. You'll only hurt yourself and that's something Butcher and Hughie don't need. Trust me." she assured, feeling the tension slowly dissipate from around them when M.M. gave Soldier Boy one last look before nodding.
Starlight helped him stand before looking at Phantom, "Thank you." she nodded, placing a gentle hand on Phantom's forearm.
The Supe softly smiled before looking at Wonder Woman, "People are hurt. I can help them." she said, making Wonder Woman nod, "Stay close and don't look at anything if they're naked." she ordered, watching Phantom walk off with M.M. and Starlight.
Once the three were gone, Wonder Woman turned back to the fight and leaped forward. She angled her body to hit the back of Homelander's head.
She watched Soldier Boy get thrown into a wall, landing on the ground with a pained groan. Without wasting a second, Wonder Woman swung her fist, striking the Supe in the jaw.
The two Supes fought until Homelander grabbed her elbow, throwing her body into the ceiling. The force was strong enough to send Wonder Woman through the stone ceiling and back outside.
Wonder Woman's body floated in the air for a moment before she came crashing back through another portion of the ceiling.
Her body hit the ground, landing in a pile of debris. She was sure her already injured leg would only get worse after this.
A groan slipped past Wonder Woman's lips as she attempted to stand, her frustration growing when she saw Homelander choking Soldier Boy.
Wonder Woman tried to stand, but the magic on her leg was beginning to fade and standing was too much of a difficult task. She was about to throw her shield when Butcher stepped into the room, "Oi, cunt." he called, using his own laser eyes to blast Homelander away.
Homelander landed across the room, giving Wonder Woman the chance to limp towards Soldier Boy. She helped him stand, "Getting a little rusty?" she questioned, chuckling when Soldier Boy rolled his eyes with a scoff, "You're breaking my heart," he muttered, looking around, "where the hell is Phantom?" he questioned, effortlessly hiding the worry in his tone.
"She's helping the injured." Wonder Woman answered, seeing that her answer calmed Soldier Boy enough to get his mind refocused.
He quickly pulled Wonder Woman behind him as Butcher and Homelander faced each other off with their laser eyes.
Flashes of gold and red filled the room as Butcher and Homelander fought one another with their enhanced abilities.
Soldier Boy soon stepped forward, grabbing Homelander's cape and yanking him to the ground. Wonder Woman took the chance to grab Homelander's shoulders, throwing him into the wall.
Homelander fell, grunting as Soldier Boy and Butcher punched him across the face. His actions soon grew desperate, attempting to fly away but his shoulders were held down by the Lasso of Truth.
Wonder Woman tilted her head, holding him down but her grip went lax when Homelander managed to grab her throat. She gasped and tried to force Homelander to release her, her fingers prying at his fist and wrist.
It wasn't until Soldier Boy punched him that Wonder Woman was released. She dropped into Soldier Boy's arms, coughing and groaning as she tried to take a deep breath.
Soldier Boy held her close until both Supes' eyes widened, seeing Hughie suddenly appear.
Naked.
Wonder Woman sighed, shaking her head, "Oh boy." she muttered, pulling from Soldier Boy's grasp to finish the job.
When Homelander pulled from Butcher, he grunted when Soldier Boy managed to grab him and beat him to the ground.
Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Hughie managed to hold Homelander down, but Wonder Woman grabbed her sword and beat the handle of the weapon into Homelander's head, keeping the Supe on the ground.
"Do it!" Wonder Woman shouted, seeing Soldier Boy's chest begin to glow with power and radiation. She quickly wrapped her lasso around Homelander's neck, keeping him pinned to the ground, "You two have to get out of here!" she shouted, looking at Hughie and Butcher.
When Butcher and Hughie heard Wonder Woman's words, they instantly shook their heads, "No!" they shouted in unison.
As Soldier Boy grew closer to killing Homelander, the Supe wailed and forced everyone off before flying through the ceiling's window.
Wonder Woman pulled her lasso back, standing with a small groan. She leaned down to touch her leg, seeing that it was still cut with glass shards and other forms of debris.
Her pain soon turned to worry as she tried to go in search of Phantom. Wonder Woman walked with a limp, unable to make it far without stopping with strain.
It wasn't until Soldier Boy grabbed her shoulder that Wonder Woman stopped all together, "Don't." he said, his voice low yet ridden with some type of concern.
After a moment of strained silence, Soldier Boy grabbed Wonder Woman's arm and wrapped it around his neck. He held her waist with a sturdy grip, helping her walk from the ruins of the mansion.
Wonder Woman glanced down at her leg, feeling the pain go numb. She saw red wisps surround her leg before the glass shards disappeared and her leg was finally healed.
"Thank you." Wonder Woman said, looking to her side where Phantom suddenly appeared. Phantom nodded, having helped whoever survived with their wounds, "I'm guessing Homelander is still breathing?" she questioned, looking up at Soldier Boy.
The Supe nodded, turning his head to meet Wonder Woman and Phantom's gaze, "Not for long." he said as he continued to help Wonder Woman. He didn't have to since her leg was already healed, but no one mentioned anything.
There was nothing to mention.
Besides, Wonder Woman liked being close to Soldier Boy again. It was something she had missed after all these years.
And if Phantom saw Wonder Woman subtly leaned into Soldier Boy's side.
She didn't.
