Chapter 2
After dr. Helen and the rest of the emergency team had brought Tony down to medlab, Natasha and Bucky was heading for the penthouse. Bucky was the first Natasha had called for.
He was Steves best friend, and the only one she could think of being able to handle a totally devastated super soldier.
They were walking through the corridors together in totally silence. Not before standing together in the elevator they were looking at each other.
“What the hell are we going to say to Steve?” Bucky asked Natasha.
Natasha couldn`t answear immediately. She didn`t know what to say. Everyone knew how close Tony and Steve was.
When they first met, they were constantly annoying each other, and they argued most of the time.
But after a while that changed. Something happened between them. First they become friends. Then it turned into something more. Something much deeper.
They became boyfriends, lovers and soulmates.
“I...I don`t know...I`m so...so sorry” Natasha stammered. She could barely talk between the sobs.
Usually she had no problems with situations which resembled this. How could she? After everything she had seen and also been doing herself. But she had never been in a situation like this.
“We just...just have to tell him, I...I guess” she said.
The elevator stopped and the door opened.
Bucky had served in the World War 2, and also been through a lot of other things that could only be described as living nightmares. But this was actually the worst thing he had been a part of.
How could he possibly tell Steve what had happened?
Steve, his best friend from childhood. The one who wasn`t a perfect soldier, as most people outside the team thought, but the most kind-hearted and loving man who Bucky has ever known.
Who woke up completely alone in this new world, and then found a true, selfless love a lot of people could only dream about.
Bucky and Natasha stepped out of the elevator and looked around in the apartment.
The clock was only about half past three in the morning and the whole place was silent.
They headed for Steve and Tonys bedroom, actually holding eachothers hands. They both needed eachothes strength now, and the worst was yet to come. That was telling Steve that Tony, the love of his life, was being mistreated and raped. That the only thing the emergency team was able to tell them was that they couldn`t say anything for sure.
In this actually moment Bucky and Natasha didn`t even knew if Tony was still alive.
This night it happened two things that Natasha knew she would never be able to forget as long as she lived.
The first thing was the sight of Tony laying there raped and badly hurt. The second thing was this sore, despaired screams coming from a super soldier who had gotten his heart totally broken.
She was infinitely grateful that she had brought Bucky with her.
James “Bucky” Barnes, the other of the two super soldiers from WW2.
He was the only one who could reach in to Steve right now.
She left the bedroom and went into the living room. The only thing she could do now, was to wait for news about Tony.
