Peter again

“Again?” Peter asks, lowering himself down to come face-to-face with you. Both of you are hanging upside down, though you’re only like that because he’d webbed you. “That’s the third time this week.” You’re a known thief, one that always manages to evade him. Peter’s not about to admit he looks forward to catching you. You’re a criminal. He can’t have a crush on you. It’s a good thing you can’t see beneath his mask, or you’d see his cheeks flush. There was something about you, though, that he couldn’t understand. You were fun and you weren’t afraid to break the law, but you could clearly take care of yourself. You had the strength and the will and the intellect. So why would you do this? “So why do it?” He murmurs, reaching out to push a strand of hair out of your face. “Why thieve?”

how else am I supposed to find you. Peter blinks. You’re only breaking the law and stealing things… because you want to see him? He can’t help the reddening of his cheeks. He’s so flustered it’s hard to speak for a few moments. “So… all the law-breaking is for me?” Even though he feels the blood rushing to his cheeks, he keeps his voice even. Or at least he tries to. Even being a superhero didn’t fully prepare him for when someone is flirting with him. Especially not when that someone is you. “What,” He begins, taking a deep breath. “What if I told you that all you had to do was ask?” All of a sudden, he leans in closer, taking the opportunity to come face-to-face with you. He’s close enough you can feel his breath lightly tickling your skin. He’s never this brave, normally he’d hesitate and stutter. There’s something about you, though, that puts him at ease… at ease enough to admit how he feels.

“That all you have to do is ask if you want to see me,” he murmurs. “And then I’d show up.” He’s so close he can feel the warmth of your skin, hear your heartbeat quickening. He has no idea what to do next so he just stares into your eyes, getting lost in them, the red of his mask doing nothing to hide his flushed cheeks. then come more often. Peter nods, his heartbeat drumming in his ears - he’s sure you can probably hear it, too. With a deep breath he presses his lips to yours. Kissing you upside down. He tastes like peppermint; his lips are soft, if a little chapped. He only meant to give you a kiss but he finds himself unable to pull away from you. A few moments pass before he finally breaks the kiss, his cheeks flushed so red it practically shows through the material of his Spider-Man mask.

You chuckle Your even more red than your mask. He’s a blushing mess; he’s probably redder than he’s ever been before as he awkwardly rubs the back of his neck. His eyes are wide and surprised, his mind still trying to process what happened. He’s kissed other girls before but this is different. Every kiss felt like a spark but this felt like an explosion. In that brief moment, he swears his heart forgot how to beat.He slowly glances back at you. There’s a nervous chuckle and a timid smile on his lips. “That…” He began. “Was…” Before blushing more and glancing away, struggling to find words. He’s supposed to be cool and confident as the city’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man but around you he’s always been nothing but a blushing, fumbling-over-his-words mess. He’s never felt anything like that before. He doesn’t want to think about what other girls he’s kissed. This is different.

A moment passes and he finally gathers enough courage to look back at you, his eyes locking with yours. He feels something in stomach; a flutter of nerves. His mouth is so dry he can barely speak. His cheeks are flushed and he looks about as red as his suit. “I-“ He begins, before his voice falters. His words die in his throat and he blushes even harder. He’s never felt anything like that before. And the worst part is he wants to do it again despite the anxiety swirling inside of him. You chuckle see you later hero.
