Rain was falling down from the night sky. Somewhere hovering in the heights of Sinshin City, multiple hovercraft and advanced vehicles were seen littered throughout every single corner of the train stops.
"What the..."
"...The hell's happening?"
"Mama, why can't we go home already?"
"Shh, be quiet, sweetie."
Multiple civilians, humans and non-humans, were bewildered at the sight of the soldiers carrying white silver-colored advanced rifles that were coming out from the craft and vehicles. They were wearing black suits outfitted with standard biohazard military combat gear. Their faces were covered by black balaclavas with rectangular goggles, covered by helmets and modified gas masks. White armored vests that can stop 50 caliber bullets or plasma fire on their tracks, utility belts that contain various types of military gadgets and hardware, as well as where they keep their advanced pistols, and black boots. Some of the soldiers in the area were non-humans, hence they had different gas masks and goggles designs.
Blackwatch Special Operations Forces' Shock Troopers were now in the area and were enacting the containment procedures in light of Eugene's report to Octagon relating to infernal activity present in the area.
Elizabeth Mably was just eating at West Genetics' cafeteria, sitting at the table alongside Arnett McMillan and Attia Simmons when much to their bewilderment and concern, an alarm was resounding throughout West Genetics.
"Attention. All fourth-year Pandora students are to stand by and be ready in case of deployment. I repeat. All fourth-year Pandora students are to stand by and be ready in case of deployment. First to third years are to be ready in case for deployment."
"Huh? What's going on?" Arnett muttered, raising an eyebrow.
Attia glances at the holographic television screen in the canteen which automatically depicts the news feed. "Hey, Elizabeth, Arnett, look," she nodded towards the screen, causing Elizabeth and Arnett to look.
They would see Blackwatch Shock Troopers stationed throughout every train stop. A news reporter, with black hair and glasses, was seen on the right side of the screen.
"...The details are mostly unknown, but what is confirmed at this point is that the interdimensional organization Blackwatch has now ordered that the train lines leading from, to, and away from Sinshin City be stopped due to the confirmed presence of extradimensional demonic activity. Locals are being advised to not make use of the stations at this time for their own personal safety."
"...Hmm. Hey, Elizabeth," Attia, with a contemplative expression, looks at Elizabeth. "Aren't the President and Vice President currently outside of Genetics?"
"Yes, why do you ask?" Elizabeth said, remembering that Chiffon and Ticy are currently spending time with two Limiter freshmen.
"Call it a hunch, but it's possible that they may be involved with these events," Attia explained.
"That would not surprise me if they are involved, for it is after all the duty of a Pandora, regardless of what year they are, to handle these situations. Chiffon Fairchild - the Unmatched Smiling Monster and Ticy Phenyl - the Silent Hitman are among West Genetics' most experienced fighters, so I have no worries about the resolution of this outcome. Though..."
Elizabeth continued with a pondering expression.
"...Arnett, Attia, do you remember the part where I found this Eugene Thruston interesting?"
"Huh?" Arnett raised a curious eyebrow, putting a hand to her chin. "Are you seriously suggesting that the Madam President's new boy toy may have some involvement in this?"
"Another possibility. I would admit though that without evidence, it is an unfounded assumption on my part and is merely just pure coincidence," Elizabeth spoke, shrugging her shoulders.
At some point, rain would start to come down.
Eugene, Chiffon, Abel, and Ticy were all staying in a restaurant that was a few meters away from the train station they left, which was now occupied by Blackwatch Special Forces. The restaurant itself is mostly empty with only some non-humans looking out the window with curiosity and concern on their faces. Chiffon's great white shark plushie, along with any of the handbags that Ticy was carrying, were somewhere else, sent to hammer space with the help of Eugene's phone which has a hammer space app function.
"...Umm, Eugene," Abel spoke, as he was sitting on the left, with Ticy on his right. On his front was Eugene, with one hand to his chin, in deep thought, and on his left was Chiffon, looking at the former.
"Hmm," Eugene hummed, noting that he heard him while looking at the side.
"Can you... Can you at least tell us just what's going on here?" Abel asks since he noticed a few odd things ever since the train incident. The fact that Eugene didn't seem to be as shocked when compared to Abel, like he was used to the blood and gore that had splattered on the floor. There's also Eugene communicating with someone that Abel didn't know, and the conversation related to the current state of the train lines where it was occupied by Blackwatch.
...Blackwatch.
They were a known interdimensional organization throughout the world, composed of the elite, not only in terms of military and political affairs, but also social, economic, and other important spheres and sectors of civilization. While it has official sanction and oversight from the United Nations, it is nevertheless independent of any government, independent of any nation. They were Blackwatch, the ones whose allegiances are not based on flags, the ones whose members are composed of humans of various ethical, religious, and national backgrounds, or those who were never human. Founded during the darker days of World War II, it was tasked with performing global, extraterrestrial, and extra-dimensional security.
Is Eugene a part of Blackwatch? Abel couldn't help but think after seeing some of the hints. He recalls Eugene's backstory with the military, though that doesn't really tell him much beyond being the adopted son of a military official whose name he couldn't disclose for procedural reasons.
Eugene looked at Chiffon, who offered him a simple, comforting smile, which he was grateful for. He looks back at Abel and Ticy. "I'll explain later, I'm still waiting for a certain someone to arrive at this restaurant, and he's a few minutes late."
"Someone?" Abel asks.
Eugene didn't respond and was quiet, currently focused on listening to the radio chatter that consisted of Blackwatch personnel that were containing the area.
"Command, this is Echo 2-4, we have completely verified traces of unnatural Hell Energy scattered over several points in the train lines."
"So the Boss was right as always. Alright, gather available mop-up teams in the area and group up. Prepare for Formation Xulu."
"Copy that, HQ."
"Sir, we just made contact with West Genetics Control Tower., they're asking permission to bring in Pandora squadrons to provide aid in the current operation."
"Permission granted, the mop-up teams are to be assigned to act alongside the squadrons. All units are to stand-by and prep for travelling through the jumpgates, setting coordinates to 0.256766."
"...Nee-chan," Eugene muttered, making Chiffon pay attention. Abel and Ticy were silent as they listened to the conversation. "West Genetics had just decided to send in the fourth-year Pandora to provide some assistance to the Blackwatch Spec-Ops. As you know, in my current status, I can't really make use of my full capabilities, not without blowing my cover at least, so I may need to rely more on you to do the heavy lifting from now on."
"Heavy lifting?" Ticy noted, showing concern.
"Ticy," Chiffon looks at Ticy. "It means that I would need to get involved in the current joint operation between the fourth-year Pandora and the soldiers."
"And you would be given clearance for it by the school faculty," Eugene added.
Chiffon continued. "Hmm. That means that you would be in charge of West Genetics in my place for the time being, Ticy."
"Ehh? But Chiffon-" Ticy's voice was cut off by Eugene.
"Abel's still with you," Eugene pointed out. Abel in turn became a little conscious. "Among all of us here, he's still relatively new to this, no actual combat training, so as the more experienced senpai, you'd probably need to show him the general ropes of interdimensional affairs. No offense, Abel." Eugene made a contrite expression.
"...None taken," Abel raised his arm, looking unsure as he was rubbing his hand to his neck.
"But wait a minute, Eugene, aren't you more or less on the same boat as Abel?" Ticy asks with a concerned expression, raising for Abel's defense.
"And that is the reason why we need to wait for this someone to show up... who should have been here by now. It's much easier to explain with him being here," Eugene sported an exasperated expression.
Then he noticed the door opening and out came someone who looked to be about Eugene's physical age. Grey hair and eyes, looked handsomely Caucasian yet had a hint of Russian descent, a little taller than Eugene, wearing what appeared to be a grey coat, with a belt carrying two holsters containing a modified Colt Single Action Army, a single-action revolver handgun. His clothing is Western-inspired, with a red handkerchief covering his neck, a grey shirt, red gloves covering his hands, black pants, and brown boots. He was holding what appeared to be an umbrella, closing it after using it for the rain outside.
Chiffon, Ticy, and Abel would notice Eugene looking too long at the stranger who just entered the restaurant. The stranger was walking towards him, with his eyes matching the direction where Eugene was looking straight ahead. As the stranger was near, he stopped. He and Eugene both eyed each other.
"You're late," Eugene deadpanned.
The stranger smirked. "Sorry about that, Boss, I got held up just a little bit." His head cocked outside. "Van's waiting just in the back of the restaurant, I'll show you all the way from there."
"Right," Eugene stood up. "Everyone, let's go."
"Wait," Abel muttered, standing up. "Is this the someone that you were talking about from earlier, Eugene?"
"Yeah," Eugene nodded.
"The name's Hex, kid," the stranger spoke with a smile. "Revolver Hex, don't you forget it. I would have tipped my hat to you, but well, didn't really bring it, too flashy for this rainy season, so I used an umbrella instead." Eugene rolled his eyes when Hex indicated the umbrella he was holding. "Oh, and don't bother introducing yourselves, I know who you all are, and I especially know who you are, my dear young lady," he placed his hand upon his chest and bowed his head a little in a gentlemanly manner towards Chiffon.
Chiffon smiled meaningfully. "Ara, and I would know of you as well, Revolver Hex."
She does know who this man is, for her father had mentioned a young boy who had been involved in the same operation, Virtuous Mission, where her father and Sokolov were being rescued by Eugene, codename: Red Beetle. Along the way, they encountered a young boy by the name of Revolver Hex, a child of Project Asgard who had been rescued from a HYDRA camp by the Soviet Union and had since then been working under GRU, the intelligence agency of the Soviet Union, now currently known as the Russian Federation after the Soviet Union collapsed by 1991. During the operation, he acted as an unlikely ally and informant to Red Beetle since they both had a common enemy that they needed to take down, for the good of the world and for the safety of their respective countries, the US and the USSR. Said common enemy of course was HYDRA.
"I'm sure you would since your dear old daddy would have probably said a few things about me," Hex said, flashing a knowing smile. He cocked his head. "Now let's get going."
They would begin to head out of the restaurant. Eugene and Abel would open their respective umbrellas, with Chiffon and Ticy taking cover for the former so that they won't unnecessarily get wet. They head a few steps forward to the sidewalk and then turn left to the alleyway. There was a large van that had stopped just around the corner, with its doors opened, revealing at least eight Blackwatch Spec-Ops Troopers, with one of them being in the driver's seat, and the more noteworthy trooper being a non-human, with the face of a tiger with orange fur, wearing a Blackwatch Spec-Ops Uniform.
"Boss!" the seven saluted respectfully when they saw Eugene, who was silent as he inspected the van with his own eyes.
There were a lot of monitors that were lined up on the walls of the van which showcases the current operations being conducted throughout Sinshin City's train lines. There was an armory, full of various types of futuristic weapons, with white-colored designs. He would step inside the van, gently holding Chiffon by the hand, and would close the umbrella upon getting inside.
"Boss?" Abel raised an eyebrow. He was heading inside, gently holding Ticy by the hand, and was closing his umbrella. Abel and Ticy noticed how the soldiers were speaking with respectful tones, ones that were directed to a superior officer.
"Lead Boss," Hex said, with a subtle tone of respect. After closing his umbrella, he would place his hand on his waist. The Blackwatch operative to the left behind him was closing the doors of the van. "That's what most of us Blackwatchers call him ever since 1964."
As they were speaking, the Blackwatch Operative behind the wheel began to start driving as the van drove towards the direction of West Genetics in order to drop off Ticy and Abel.
"It's good to see you again, Magister TyLo," Eugene said, acknowledging the tiger humanoid.
"It is a pleasure to work alongside you again, Lead Boss," Magister TyLo spoke with a respectful tone.
"...Wait, hold on," Ticy muttered, her eyebrows crunching a little before her eyes widened out of surprise, with most people except for Eugene and the driver looking at her. "Lead Boss... as in, the Legendary Soldier, Lead Boss?"
Lead Boss. Also known as Red Beetle. He was a legendary soldier well known and highly regarded among political and military institutions, known for his historical accomplishments and marks on the Cold War period, though his identity is unknown and there aren't any official records of him, even after the many decades that had passed. During her first year in West Genetics, Ticy had listened to and heard of the legendary soldier during classes taught by Pandora instructors, and one of the more recent accomplishments that he was known for was aiding the Pandora during the crisis events of the 8th Nova Clash.
But, as far as Ticy knew, if she were to calculate the dates based on the information she knew, Lead Boss should be in his 70s or 80s at this point. So...
"...Then," Ticy slowly looks in awe, bewilderment, and shock at Eugene, who was carefully inspecting the weapons that were placed on the wall.
"Wait, wait, wait,, hold up!" Abel looked bewildered, raising both of his hands. "Am I missing something here, or are you seriously saying that this is the Legendary Soldier who fought in the Cold War?!"
"Hard to believe, I know, since I looked a lot younger for somebody who should be decades older," Eugene muttered.
Then he grabbed a white silver-colored automatic rifle that he got from the wall and inserted a magazine which he got from a nearby table. A silver belt would materialize from Eugene's waist, one that was now materializing several pouches for containment of items, allowing the latter to put more magazines into them.
His thoughts made him think of the weapon he was carrying.
The EXO Psalm 151 Rifle, Blackwatch's signature weapon and classical standard issue, serving as an automatic firearm capable of affecting preternatural, supernatural, and extranatural threats. It was officially granted permission to be used among Blackwatch personnel since 1964. I remember using this during the Virtuous Mission operation. It was invented and developed by Howard Stark, who I knew by the codename: Zero, taking a few inspirations from HYDRA's Tesseract-powered weapons that were in usage during World War II.
The magazines have hammer space adjustments that allow the cartridges to contain more than your average modern day firearm. In case of dimensional interference, the magazine can switch to a normal firing mode, capable of firing about one thousand rounds per minimum. It has a selective type of function, allowing it to fire semi-automatic, fully automatic, and/or burst mode.
It also contains a mini-vial reactor full of cosmic renewable energy, powering the weapon and allowing it to fire potent energy bolts which, depending on the setting, could range from blowing up a wall to outright vaporizing enemy combatants.
Its mode of firing capability ranges from armor piercing rounds, energy bolts, iron silver, or bronze rounds effective against supernatural and extradimensional creatures, blessed rock salt, holy water blessed from Catholic and Orthodox traditions, devil's trap engraved bullets designed to lock demons to the normal reality and prevent escape, and other projectile-firing capabilities in light of an assessed target. The rifle can also be used in close quarters combat (CQC) and would allow for the usage of bayonet techniques via an installed Kurd Combat Dagger, based upon the ancient supernatural killing blades created by the Kurdish people. A silencer can be attached to the muzzle of the rifle, allowing it to be used for stealth operations.
Eugene would then begin to take a white-silver handgun from the wall and inspect it as well.
The Armstice MK 10, Blackwatch's signature back-up weapon, a semi-automatic large frame pistol, officially used by Blackwatch personnel by 1964, designed for both offensive and defensive purposes, also created and developed by Howard Stark and inspired from HYDRA's weapons, and of course a personal favorite of mine which I used during Virtuous Mission.
It was classified as "Offensive-Defensive Handgun Weapons System—Special Black Operations Peculiar". Handy when it came to making use of CQC along with a Kurd Blade. It can be paired with optics like a laser aiming module (LAM) and modifications like a suppressor. More or less, it carries similar functions to the EXO Rifle, and is useful against preternatural, supernatural, and extranatural threats.
Eugene would place one of these handguns to his right holster, and grab another one and place it to his left holster.
Chiffon, as she walks near to Eugene, notices his expression, focusing on the weapons and equipment that he is carrying, most of which are being placed in his silver belt's pockets. Eugene glances at the monitor on the screen to his right where it is showing a VTOL touching down, whose backdoors would open to reveal Kazuha Aoi, wearing her field uniform, alongside a few of the faculty of West Genetics. He muttered. "Aoi-sensei's finally here, right on schedule."
"Okay, Eugene, spill, just what is really going on here?" Abel asks because he can't easily process the information bombshell that was just given to him.
Like, in a world of gods and whatever else that bumps in the night, a world that is always in constant threat of the Nova, someone who is probably older than he looks wouldn't really be the biggest shocking revelation ever. I mean, guys like Wolverine and Captain America for example are more or less the same thing, but still, he's just finding out that his new friend was actually the Legendary Soldier himself, the man who fought tooth and nail during an uncertain period of mankind's history, the Cold War. His father back in the day would often tell some stories about that soldier's exploits, so having come face to face with the Legend himself is...
...Well, he has questions. Lots of them. And can he really blamed for it? It's like a bedtime story that you've heard more than a few times as a kid that is basically coming alive and is now interacting with you. Only in this case, said bedtime story is a real, concrete historical fact.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Eugene would notice his codec beeping.
"Hold on a minute," Eugene said, raising his right hand for a bit, in a gesture of 'wait'.
He would answer his earpiece.
"Hey, Beetle, have you rendezvous with Hex yet?" Octagon's voice came out from the frequency.
"Yeah, I've just met up with him, and I've also met up with Magister TyLo and a few of the men. How are things back in West Genetics?" Eugene asks.
"Aside from Kazuha leaving for duty calls..." Octagon's tone was sad and depressed before turning serious. "Well, the school is currently on high alert after the recent confirmation of Hell Activity in the train lines. Using the Mk. V, I've managed to pinpoint a central location where I found traces of corrupted spiritual energy resonating as humans."
"Alive or deceased?" Eugene asks, sporting a concerned expression.
"Both I suppose," Octagon answered. "That's not all. The Hell Dimension that you all passed through briefly when you were all on the train appears to be an almost exact detailed replica of Sinshin City, even with the same time standards. As you already know by now, each Hell Dimension tends to be unique in its own way. For an Arch-Lamia, a low-tier Hell Lord, their Hell resembles a small pocket dimension that is a replica of the same location, one that is a subtle trap for unsuspecting souls to get dragged in, using human souls as fuel to create Hell Energy."
There are three different types of energy that is connected with this topic, one that had been classified and marked by the organization Chevalier which are relevant to understanding the nature of a Pandora. There are the Sentinel, Hell, and Argent Energies.
Sentinel Energy, named after the biblical term found in the Holy Bible, speaks of an extradimensional type of energy that is commonly associated with divinity and otherworldly, related to the heavenly/sky realms where the characteristics of holiness and light, and the gods and other beings who reside in these dimensions. It also related to realms of the afterlife, occupying those who have passed on, the deceased who have parted from the living world and are now enjoying peace, and so, it is a natural element commonly found within mortal and human souls.
Through the use of their Stigamata, a Pandora can harness and allow herself to connect with this energy in a natural way, gaining tremendous capabilities in the process. Basic skills such as super strength, super speed, super senses, and everything else that a normal human or even your average superhero in the C-Tier list wouldn't really be able to do become enhanced to a level beyond superhuman.
Then you have Hell Energy, which is a type of extradimensional energy commonly associated with dark dimensions and with realms of the underworld and damnation, the Arch-Dimensions of Hell. The ones who rule these dimensions are typically referred to as Hell Lords, a category of beings that range from associated death gods like Hades of the Greco-Roman Underworld, or those who were naturally conceived or created as demons by various origins, or those who had come from angelic origins before they fell to become the rulers of their own infernal/underworldly realms.
Most of these Hell Lords are generally malevolent, with varying displays of power and intelligence. In general, they have controllable universal mastery and nigh capability of ruling a specific infernal/underworldly realm associated with their own nature. Names such as Hell, Underworld, Netherworld, Inferno, Perdition, and other terms used to describe such realms were common usage. Most would carry the common titles of Satan or Devil, one that referred to a single absolute overlord of all evil, for varying reasons.
One reason would be a way to manipulate the mortal and supernatural population, taking advantage of their primal and primordial fear that had long existed since the beginnings of life in this and other worlds. Another reason is out of pride and hubris, a common characteristic among Hell Lords. And yet another reason is merely simply stating those titles as a simple matter of fact to denote their status as beings who had amassed immense power to rule over their respective dimension, no different from a god.
Hell Energy is also artificially created from the tortured souls of mortals, humans or otherwise, either those who were evil, corrupt, or tainted by sin, or from innocent souls whose worlds were conquered and dragged into the Arch-Dimensions of Hell itself. Once souls are harvested, in some cases, the husks of Hell's victims would undergo a twisted transformation into demons.
Through the use of their Stigmata, a Pandora can also naturally make use of this energy. When they enter a hellish or underworldly dimension, their power doubles, and siphons off the damnable energy with no regress or corruption upon themselves.
Then you have Argent Energy, an extradimensional type of energy that is neither holy nor hellish, and yet is something of a neutral and both. And therein lies the Pandora's advantage. Even if one were to counter a Pandora's ability to harness divine and demonic energy, this type of energy is neutral and can overrule the former two energies, and in higher concentrations, it makes even gods and lords of hell have trouble with them. This is where the Pandora, stated as a "Preternatural, Supernatural, and Extranatural Deterrence" comes into play.
"With all that being said, how are you to go about this one, Beetle?" Octagon asks.
"Simple as always. We take out the head farmer and all of the animals would scatter," Eugene answered.
"In other words, going straight for the Arch-Lamia, take it out, and cause a disruption in the hell dimension that would allow the souls to escape and get a leeway. If it were anyone else, I'd say that they shouldn't underestimate an Arch-Lamia. Despite being agreed upon by experts as the lowest tier among the Hell Lords pantheon, an Arch-Lamia is still a Hell Lord," Octagon looked amused.
"I'm not alone though," Eugene glances at Chiffon, Revolver Hex, Magister TyLo and the seven Blackwatch personnel. "I've got a ten-man squad behind me, counting myself and Kazuha, which makes twelve."
"Why Beetle, are you somehow suggesting that you're planning on showing off to your girl while at work," Octagon joked.
"First of all, she's not my girl," Eugene looked annoyed just a bit, making Chiffon perked up in curiosity.
"Not yet at least," Octagon bemused.
"Second of all, despite some people (Abel and Ticy) finding out about my identity so soon, I was hoping to make the most of it by being a bit more productive," Eugene explained.
"Ah, the good old fashion expository scene. Always a hallmark in anime and gaming," Octagon nodded.
"That and well..." Eugene looks at Chiffon, the latter noticing the former looking at her with a meaningful side glance. "...I thought that she might be curious about the kind of work that I usually do for a living before attending West Genetics."
"So it is about showing off to your girl, I'm so proud of you, Beetle," Octagon's tone was humorous. If this were an anime, there would be a tear being wiped away from the man's eye upon removing his glasses a little.
"...Hrrmm. Whatever, just contact me for any information that could be useful on this mission," Eugene rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Okey-dokey," Octagon smiled with amusement.
Then the codec call ended.
"Hmm," Chiffon looked a little amused, putting her hands to her back and making a bending posture, with her head cocking.
"What is it?" Eugene asks, dreading the upcoming humor.
"I couldn't help but notice that you and Octagon were talking about dear old me," Chiffon placed a finger to her mouth. "Also, your girl?"
"That was just Octagon making some harmless conversation," Eugene shrugs his shoulders a little.
"Oh, I don't know, I don't really mind being Red Beetle's girl, or should I say woman?" Chiffon said, her face drawing near to Eugene, who felt like he was sweatdropping.
"Eh!" both Ticy and Abel looked at Eugene and Chiffon with bewilderment and a little bit of blushing, mostly on Ticy's side.
"Oh this ought to be good," Hex would raise his phone with a smirk on his face. The other Blackwatch personnel, to varying degrees, were also curious regarding the relation between the Number 1 Pandora and their superior officer.
"Hex, are you seriously recording this?!" Eugene raised an exasperated eyebrow.
"Come on, Boss, this is honestly a rare occurrence. You never really pay much attention to women in general your whole life, so forgive me for being interested in this," Hex stated bluntly.
"Ah, that reminds me," Chiffon raised an eyebrow towards Hex.
"...Oh dear," Eugene twitched his eyebrow a little, sporting an exasperated expression.
Chiffon continued. "How many women has Eugene had over the years, Revolver Hex?"
"...Hmm," Hex, TyLo, and the rest of the Blackwatch personnel would look at each other. Hex responded. "Counting them all, most of them tend to be Pandora."
"Heeh, is that so?" Chiffon cocked her head a little. Eugene felt chills running down his spine. While he could see Chiffon smiling, it didn't seem like a natural smile. More like a "red eyes, take warning" kind of smile.
"In my defense, half of those women wanted me dead, or worse..." Eugene explained.
"Still Boss, you do tend to attract Pandora women a lot, like it's gotten to the point where some of us Blackwatchers have a betting pool on whose gonna be the next Pandora that would get her heart swung by our Big Boss," Hex explained.
"Oh Eugene," Chiffon grabbed Eugene's arm, locked but not too tight, making the latter sweatdrop a little. "I wonder, would some of those happen to be Pandora instructors by any chance?"
"...I would say yes," Eugene spoke. No point in lying, he thought. Being honest with Chiffon feels a lot more safer for him.
"Oh? Would some of them happen to be in West Genetics?" Chiffon asks, in part rather curious about Eugene's history with past Pandora and wants to learn more about it.
"Definitely yes," Eugene nodded. "And actually, you and Ticy would probably know two of them in particular..."
Somewhere in another part of the city, there was Kazuha Aoi who was waving at two of her comrades. Accompanying her were a few Blackwatch personnel that were inside the van.
"Well, I'm off to the rendezvous point to link up with uncle, take care you two," she said as the doors of the van closed. The van would speed up and head north, leaving two Pandora behind.
One of the women sighed, both of her hands placed on her waist. "...Honestly, it's only been like two days since the freshman came here and there's already gonna be a fuzz that needs sorting out."
Her name was Yu-Mi Kim. She was a woman somewhere in her twenties, with a buxom figure, short dark brown hair that extends down to her neck, while the rest comes further down into her face in several bangs as well as leaving her ears viewable at the sides and brown eyes. She was wearing a dark red military battlefield uniform
"Oh, I don't know," the other woman looked amused, putting a hand to her chin. "Don't you think we should have expected something like this by now, ever since our dear Beetle had stepped foot on our school?"
Her name was Elize Schmitz, a tall woman in her twenties, taller compared to Yu-Mi and other Pandora, with short green hair that reaches her neck, accompanied with dark eyes. Her hair comes down onto her face in several bangs, and a ponytail that is tied up in the back. She was wearing a dark red military battlefield uniform.
Yu-Mi smiled a little. "...Fair point, I guess. As expected from the Numbers' old instructor. Though..." Her expression turns to one of bemusement. "Now that I say that, I find it ironic that he became our student now. Oh how the tables have turned."
"Hmm. Maybe we should tease him a little after this is all over," Elize proposed a little bit of revenge for making them worry.
"Now, now, Elize, the old man already has enough problems dealing with our school's student council president, so we should keep it down a notch and let him get some rest, don't you think?" Yu-Mi raised her eyebrow.
"Hm?" Elize looked amused, her face drawing near her friend's face, with her hands placed on her waist. "Deeply concerned about our hubby, aren't you?"
"We-" Yu-Mi blushed a little, making a hesitant sideglance. "Well, I'm just trying to be a responsible adult here, alright."
"Uhuh, sure you are," Elize drew her face back, with her eyes closed as she nodded.
"I'm being serious here, Elize!" Yu-Mi sported a slightly irritated look.
