Hecate opened her eyes to the complete darkness of the bedroom. She felt like something was off, and she quickly found out what. The goddess pouted when she didn’t feel the familiar strong arms around her and smirked. “Guess it’s my turn to be the big spoon.” She whispered to herself. Hecate rolled over but was surprised to see there was no partner there to hold, “Dem?” She said silently, looking around the room. She saw the door was open, and sat up on the bed. “Dem! You out there?” She said in a louder whisper. No response. Hecate sighed and got up, walking to the door, she looked down the hallway to see no lights on. “Not in the bathroom then, huh?”
The goddess said and walked to the living room. She walked around the dark living room and was shocked to see the front door was open. She looked around once more before walking out the door. “Demeter! Where are you!?” She said in a slightly louder voice. It was windy that night. The goddess closed her eyes as the cold air hit her face. She had always loved the cold. Hecate opened her eyes and looked across the vast range of hills, forest, and fields. Although she preferred the darkness of the underworld to the earth itself, she had to admit this was her favorite place to be, especially at night. But suddenly her eyes stopped at one of the many hills. On top of the hill she saw a figure laying on the soft grass. She squinted her eyes and zoomed in on it, groaning when she saw who it was. Hecate snapped her fingers and teleported to the bottom of that hill.
She started to walk up it and talk to the figure as well. “Are you serious Dem? You get up in the middle of the night to come and lay on a hill?” She said stopping next to the goddess, but Demeter didn’t respond; she just turned over her back facing Hecate. Said goddess scowled and pushed her foot against her partner's back. “Come on, sweetheart. It’s cold out here, and you're wearing nothing but boxers and a tank top.” Demeter looked up at the witch goddess and smiled, her eyes drooping. The goddess of the harvest turned onto her back and lifted her bulky arms up to Hecate. “Come lay with me, love” She said in a tired voice.
Hecate crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, “Get up you are not sleeping here!” Demeter pouted looking up at the witch goddess with a pleading look. Her golden eyes glowed in the darkness, They were beautiful and alluring. “UGH! Fine.” Hecate said giving in to the goddess of grain. She kneeled to the ground and was surprised by how comfortable it felt as she laid down. “Did you do something to the ground?”
“Unlike me you don’t like to sleep on the hard earth, so I made it more comfortable for you.” Hecate blushed and turned her head away slightly. For a while the two sat in silence. “Can I hold you?” Hecate looked at Demeter and smiled, “One of the reasons I came looking for you.” Demeter chuckled and pulled the goddess close. Hecate sighed as the familiar strong arms wrapped around her and Demeter’s well muscled body pressed against her. “For someone as big and tough as yourself, you sure are a cuddler.” The goddess of agriculture said nothing as she buried her face into Hecate’s cold neck. Hecate smiled and kissed the top of Demeter’s head. As the goddess fell asleep she couldn’t help but notice the beauty of the stars bright in the sky that Demeter came outside to watch.
Hecate awoke feeling the warm soft grass against her face and the strong body of her girlfriend pressed up against her back, but she didn’t want to move. Soon she heard Demeter yawn. “Good morning, my love. Shall I go make breakfast?” Before Demeter’s arms could leave her girlfriend’s waist Hecate turned, wrapping her arms around the goddess and pulling her back down against her. “Hecate, wha-”
“Stay. Lay with me for a while longer, Sunflower.” Demeter smirked and wrapped her arms back around the witch goddess kissing her lightly. “I knew you’d like this spot.”
