Star City
Chapter Two
Star City,
“AsgardIan Refugees have landed in Scandinavia, Norway. The prime minister has offered asylum for the people of Thor, God of thunder. Negotiations will continue today.”
“Can you believe that Ollie! Thor!” Thea queen yelled skipping Down the stairs towards her brother and Boyfriend, Roy Harper. Both men rolled their eyes at the fan girl in Thea.
Turning up the Tv, Thea watched the News Reporter.
“We are inside the encampment of New Asgard and as you can see. Stark industries are helping with building of many homes and workplaces,”
The three vigilantes watched as the New Reporter walked through the encampment, they could see all the avengers. From the cameras, A couple Asgardians from their clothing and an army. Not a big one but still a good number of soldiers.
In the background, behind the reporter were houses being built, a Blacksmith shop was right in the center. Behind that was a huge Canapé, like it looked like they put fifteen canapés together and added wooden posts to separate them from each other. That had to be the royal tent.
Oliver smiled at Thea’s non to friendly popcorn throw at the tv, when Secretary Ross came on to speak. The live Negotiations were coming to a close when Ross yelled at something. It was hilarious how these people seemed to lack diplomatic skills and people not from this planet had them.
“What did that mean?” Rene asked turning towards Oliver at the Former war criminal's speech about being the god of lies. Thea rolls her eyes at him.
“Loki, in Norse mythology, is known by a shit ton of titles. God of fire, God of Mischief, God of lies, silver tongue.” Thea started going off on different names and titles he went by and what local lore said about him. “What people forget in the ‘God of lies’ is actually God of Deceit and deception.
“He can lie his way out of a wet paper bag, and he can tell when he’s being lied to. You can’t lie to the god of lie’s basically is what that means” Thea shrugs.
“So, birthday party?”
The news forgotten; Oliver rolled his eyes at Thea’s change of conversation.
“Everyone is coming” the archer says, looking up for a second as Thea leans over the counter. “Roy, you got the cake ready for Sara?” Was the next question. After that was if Curtis, Rene or Dinah were going to show up.
The legends would be coming, That Thea knew.
“Kara will try and make it” Ollie laughs. Thea thought that was a good compromise, next was several questions later about food, decorations and place. Diggle, felicity, and Lance were a given due to it being Sara’s birthday.
Roy would be there and would some of their normal friends.
Thea turns to lean against the counter, biting her lip and sucking it between her mouth. She knew the answer was probably going to be no but at the same time he might show up unexpectedly like last time and sweep Ollie off to another near-death experience.
Though Thea would give the man credit he did try to keep her brother out of the fighting. And she was pretty sure Ollie was still pissed at being drugged. So, taking a breath before asking “is Slade coming?” That got her brothers attention.
“No, why would he? He hates Sara.” The vigilante says mater of factly.

Australia, Sydney
Slade shot up from his light slumber, another nightmare. He breathed lightly trying to calm his racing heart. Shaking his head. He sat up slowly leaving the bed, flashes of his nightmare still fresh in his mind. Shado, Sara, Oliver and more from the past.
Hell, those nightmares he can live with seeing Thea’s broken eyes as she watches his sword go through her mother killed him every night.
“My Children Live!”
Those nightmares he could do without.
The screams of Thea, Roy and Sara he could do without. Yet, as he looks outside the window. He knew. He deserves it. The mirakuru failed anger that was already there. His jealously at Oliver and Shados relationship. Anger at himself for never speaking up to her.
Then when she was killed…. It was like the heart of their group was gone.
Sara only made things worse though granted they didn’t meet on his best day. He didn’t trust easily and then a bomb went off in his face. The former Agent walks slowly out of the room and toward his Kitchen. He wasn’t getting any sleep tonight it seemed as he moves through his house
His search for Joe was put on hold due to Adeline calling.
Oliver was in the wind and planning Sara’s birthday party. So, Slade definitely wasn’t going to be able to hide in star city to get his Wife off his back about their sons. Hell, she still wouldn’t tell him where grant was.
Stopping mid thought, Slade spun around knife out, his one good eye narrowed.
“Hey, calm down”
Scuffing at the man’s choice of words, Slade just added pressure to the knife at the intruder's neck. “You need something?” Slade snarls out.
The man took a breath a breath and spoke. “The US Government is After The Asgardians. They want Loki dead” that had slade shoving the man back.
“Loki? The Norse god Loki?” The disbelief in slades voice must have annoyed the man because next Slade knew he was being smacked with a “Do you watch the news lately” sassy remark.
Growling at the remark, slade steps forward only for the guy to lift his hands up in front of him. “Whoa man, not here to fight.” They stared each other Down. “Just a message, from someone you know”
Slade was handed a note, the former Merc grabbed it. It was initialed J.B.B. His good eye stared at it and wrecked his brain. It couldn’t be. Slipping the note into his pants pocket, Slade glares at the messenger. Asking if the note was legitimate.
He promised. It was. “He’ll meet you in star City.”
With that said the man left without a further explanation.

Star City,
Avoiding Oliver in his own city was going to be a pain. Though thankfully He could keep hidden when he wanted to. Narrowing his eye, He needs a place to lay low.
So, he moves with the crowd, keeping to the shadow side of the streets.
Finding the bunker was occupied, that narrows it down to empty abandoned buildings. After searching and failing the former ASIS agent rented a hotel room for a month, who knew when this J.B.B would show up.
So, Slade decided to lay low and stay hidden. Thinking that would help, the kid couldn’t see or find him if he stayed inside all day. Neither could Thea or the rest of the team, that didn’t say Slade wasn’t checking up on the kid.
After lian Yu, Slade did his research on Oliver’s newest members Dinah, Rene, and Curtis. Of course, the one that turned on the kid.
He did warn the kid. Everyone is in this life for themselves. He learnt the hard way with Billy. Groaning lightly, slade moves toward the room in was renting unlocking the door and pushed it open.
Who ever this informant was better hurry up.
Tossing his keys on the table. His jacket went next onto the chair. The bed wasn’t much but it’ll do. He wasn’t planning on staying the whole month. After situating his things for months stay, Slade narrowed his eye out the window.
Call him paranoid.

Four days passed and no sign of the mysterious man or the so-called friend that wanted to me with slade, four days slade had been stuck inside his hotel room with only hotel food.
Reading up on what was happening with the UN and Asguardian refugees. Slade was able to get as much research on Loki and the avengers. Someone in Norway wanted the God dead and who ever contacted slade wants the god protected.
Watching the news for background sound, Slade listens to the final moments of the negotiations with The UN and Norways prime ministers. For the next few hours, Slade researched the man that came to him about this guy he was meeting.
Though, without a name he was stuck on where to start.
A ding from his phone went off. Picking it up, there was a text message.
Queen mansion. 10pm.
Looking toward the clock, it was already Nine thirty.
Queen Mansion, 10:00pm
A car pulled up to the old Queen home, Thea Queen steps out. Her lips turn up in a sad smile looking at the house that Use to belong to her. She looks towards Roy; her boyfriend was frowning.
“What is it” she asked.
“Just a weird feeling” was all he says before taking her hand and moving forward towards the back yard. They did this a lot lately, visiting her old home and shared memories of it. The good, the bad and just remembered.
Walking further along, Roy stopped in his tracks. Thea glances at him then to what he’s looking at. Two men were standing in the middle of the back yard, one was unrecognizable while the other she knew well. The familiar bulk of Slade Wilson was hard to miss.
The two glanced at each other before Roy moved slightly to hide them from view.
Thea rolled her eyes, they both knew, Slade probably already saw them.
“What is it you want?” She heard Slade ask. It was more of a growl then an actual question. But she figured the stranger could tell. A folder was handed to Slades and Thea’s eyes widened. Oooh this was merc shit. Slade was getting information on a hit. Biting her lip, Thea covered her mouth to keep from talking.
“I was told you’re a pretty good marksman.”
This time it was Roy’s turn to roll his eyes. Flattery would get them no where with Wilson.
Wilson looks at the file and shakes his head.
“So, the note? A fake” Slade says after a bit.
“Considering, your history with the winter soldier. I thought him contacting you would make you come and investigate. Which it did” the man says. Slade moves silently, his good eye narrowed on the man in front of him and Thea had to grip Roy’s hand just to keep herself quiet.
“You wanted me?” Slade sneered.
The man turns, and Thea finally gets a good look at him. It was one of Secretary Ross’s employees, she saw him on tv being interviewed in Norway.
“As you know, our leverage against Hawkeye was unsuccessful.”
A snort left the Australians mouth as the man speaks. Which Thea thought duh, they were literally caught. A second later the file was thrown down onto the grass. “ not interested.”
He then moves to turn only to be stopped dead at the man’s next words.
“You either Assassinate Loki of Asgard and his children or Oliver Queen loses another family member” the Australian turns and Thea knew that look it was the same look he had when felicity asked him for help after telling the man to fuck off.
Without another word, and faster then Thea had ever seen him move, slade had a sword in hand, he swung it wide. Killing the messenger Literally. Cleaning the blade, slade then walks away back towards his car or bike most likely.
Thea and Roy stand there for what seems hours.
They had to warn Ollie.

A lone figure smiled slightly as she watches Slade Wilson disappear from view. Her eyes glanced toward the two spying on her Ex-husband. Yes, Slade was in trouble again. This time with Avengers drama.
She moves silently, heading in the opposite direction as Slade. She had a widow to meet up with. Adeline walks to her car and gets in. Driving towards an old abandoned building. Arriving, the Australian spy gets out of her car and smirks.
“You were right. They offered him to kill your friend’s brother.” Was the first thing out of Adeline’s mouth. Her eyes sparkled. “He declined”
A woman tall, lean and blonde hair up to her shoulders was leaning against her own car. When Adeline spoke as she steps from the SUV. She nods, her eyes narrowing slightly at her phone.
“I figured as much”
The woman speaks again, this time talking about the note, Slade didn’t know she sent it. a ruse to intercept Ross’s plan to hire the Australian. What she did know was Slade Wilson was the only surviving encounter with the winter soldier. He could be useful in taking down Ross.
“let’s stay in the shadows. Both sides have to stay focused.”
Adeline nods, turning back towards her carefully opening the door. Slipping inside and driving away.

“So,”
“It went fine Clint. The Man declined the invitation.”
Natasha Romanoff smiles, eyes moving toward the disappearing Car in the distance.
