Prologue
Isadora sat on the counter in her father’s kitchen. For the first time in ten years, she was finally going to meet him. She was nervous. What if Matt didn’t like her?
“When will he get here?” Isadora asked her mother, who was sitting on the couch.
Elektra chuckled softly. “Patience, darling,” she said. “He’ll be here soon.”
Isadora huffed and lay back on the counter. "Waiting is boring," she complained.
"And patience is a virtue," Elektra replied, a small smile on her face.
Isadora huffed and sat up. She hopped off the counter and went to the fridge, peeking inside.
That was when the door opened. The man himself walked inside.
“Elektra,” Matt Murdock breathed, seeming to look at his ex lover with his unseeing eyes. His brow furrowed. “Who’s with you?”
