When planning this road trip, Luz wanted to make sure it started on a bang.

Which is why she planned that the first stop was one that Amity would love, and she got the perfect one.

It was a suprise, so she did not tell anything to her about how their first day would go.

"Luzzzzz !" Amity wined. "Please, I beg of you, tell me where I am going."

"Sorry Amity. I won't be telling you."

"But I've been curious for almost three hours and its killing me ! Pleaseeeee ?!"

"Nope. Besides," She gave her phone a glance. "We are five minutes away."

"That is too long !"

"Alright, I think I need to leave the highway and take a turn left."

"I could help you navigate."

"Nice try, but you would know where we are going."

"Dam it."

It was just for today, the other days Luz and Amity would work together to reach their destinations, but with today being a suprise...

Amity sighted, giving up on trying to find out where they were going.

They drove in quiet for the last minutes, until their destination was finally in sight.

Amity gave a gentle gasp. "Luz...babe....are we...going there !"

"Yep !"

Amity gave an exited yelp, as Luz entered the parking lot for the aquarium.

Amity has always loved animals. Emira had taken her here once, before their mother banned this place as it was "not meant for high society" but Amity had always wanted to return.

Which is why Luz picked it.

"Oh my god ! Thank you thank you thank you !" Amity kissed Luz on the cheek multiple times.

"Hehe, I love your kisses hermosa, but can it wait until I stop the car."

"Oh right, sorry."

Luz found a parking spot and stopped the car.

"Allright, are you ready then ?"

"Hmm. I do need those precious lips of yours first." Amity kissed her on the mouth. "Thank you babe."

"You know I'd do anything for you."

They exited the car and hand in hand, they entered the aquarium.

"You remembered the story about Em bringing me here as a child, didn't you ?"

"Of course. I know you always wanted to return, so here we are."

"How long do we have."

"As long as you want to stay here Amity. Our hotel for the night is just 10 minutes away, so it really doesn't matter."

"Thank you Luz, thank you."

Luz payed for their tickets and they both got inside the place.

She had also bought for a little suprise, but she is gonna keep that to herself until the time came.

The aquarium had a giant coral reef tank in the middle of the entrance, which Amity was immediately amazed at.

"Look Luz, its just like the finding Nemo fish !"

"Heh, yeah, they are."

They first got in a large tunnel, that lead them to a tank full of sharks.

"I remember this part. Em loved it, she has always had a thing for Sharks."

"I mean she did move to Florida, so you know, she probably sees them a lot."

"Not to mention, she is engaged to Viney, and you know how Viney is with animals. Remember that willd bird she tried to keep as a pet."

"Puddles, yeah, how to forget."

They stayed there for a long long time. Amity had her eyes full of amazement and took pictures of all the sharks that came by. Luz didn't mind to wait, she might not be as huge as an animal fan as her girlfriend is, but she does enjoy them a lot, and this is interesting as hell.

Not to mention, anything is worth to see Amity smile the way she is right now.

"Sorry for taking so long. I could not get enough of it."

"Its perfectly fine, this is your day. We do what you want."

"Hmm. Oh I know where to go next, come here."

Luz nodded, wondering what she wanted to see.

But then...

"OTTERS !" Luz gasped, rushing towards the exhibit.

Amity gave a gentle laugh. She knew the moment she saw the sign, that her girlfriend would react like that. Luz loves otters after all.

"Reminds me of the time you came to school in that otter costume."

"I mean, I kinda had to since Eda forgot to do the landuary so..."

"Hehe. I know love, I know."

After spending some time with the otters, they went to see reptiles and amphibians.

A kind lady named Anne was talking about frogs with great passion, it was clear that she loves her job.

Then, Luz and Amity went to the cafeteria for lunch.

Amity insisted she had to pay for the meal. Luz had payed for all today, she at least had to contribute.

"Its really the least I can do for you, helping me complete this childhood dream." Amity said, grabbing them a box of fried chicken and fries.

"So have you enjoyed it so far Sweet Potato ?"

"Are you kidding me, I have loved every second of today. It has been....so wonderful. Thank you Luz, really."

"Oh and the day is still young, and we have the best part of the day left. We still need to watch the show !"

"Oh my god, I totally forgot there was a show !"

The biggest part of the aquarium was of course the dolphin show. it really is the focal point here.

Amity loves dolphins. Which is why Luz bough at special suprise.

"Hey Amity, I must confess something."

"Yeah ?"

"I....bough something else, aside from the tickets."

"Huh ?"

"You love dolphins don't you....how would you feel about feeding one ?"

Luz handled Amity the extra ticket for the dolphin experience, which included feeding one.

"Luz...this...this is too much."

·Nothing is too much for you babe."

"I...I swear that I will repay this. During this trip, I will suprise you like this. I swear it."

"There is no need for that Amity. I love you, that is why I do this things."

Amity knew that, but that did not mean she was not gonna try her best to suprise Luz.

As soon as she can, she needs to find that place.

Luz and Amity kept waiting for the show time, by enjoying a touch pool full of rays.

"They are so soft...but also feel weird." Amity commented.

At last, the time for the show came.

Luz and Amity took their seats at the middle. Amity kind of proposed they got in the soak zone, but Luz said they shouldn’t get the car wet, and she agreed.

The whole time the dolphins were jumping around, Amity had a big bright smile at her face. Which in turn made Luz smile even more.

The show ended around half an hour later, and Luz and Amity headed towards the trainers, where they and others that payed for it could feed them.

“This are Stringbrain and Ghost, two orphan female dolphins that were found at the coast. Our eldest dolphin, Flapjack, took care of them.” The trainer said.

“Oh look at them Luz, they are so cute.” Amity said, feeding Ghost.

“Yeah they are.” Luz chuckled, feeding Stringbrain.

Ghost made an exited motion and ended up splashing Amity, making the purple haired woman laugh.

“There goes not getting wet today,”

“Oh man...”

At last, their time with the dolphins had to come to an end. Luz and Amity said farewell to the trainers, Stringbrain, and Ghost, and continued on.

They went on to the last exhibits. The last one being the one of Tony the Walrus, a walrus saved by the aquarium after loosing one of his tusks and drifting off.

“Poor guy, seems like he went threw a lot. Glad he is better now.”

“Reminds me of when Eda saved King and Hooty.”

The girls ended their trip in the gift shop, and just at closing time, they were back at their car, the day in The aquarium had ended.

Luz and Amity made a stop at a Taco Bell drive threw, and then finally checked in their hotel for the night.

“Thank you for this day Batata.” Amity said hugging her. “It was so wonderful, I had a lot of fun.”

“I’m am so happy for you Sweet Potato. Though I also had a lot of fun.”

Luz stretched and yawned,

“Well I don’t know about you, but I’m beat. I am gonna take a shower and get to bed. Wan join me ?”

“Of course baby. Always.”

The first day of their road trip had been a great success, and they can’t wait for what’s coming next.
