Chapter 2
Erik loved him...like his own 'brother'. Charles was his best friend, his only friend really but that didn't matter because Erik preferred it like that.
When Erik met Charles he was skeptical but he felt like, for the first time, somebody understood him. Erik didn't trust Charles, didn't want to trust Charles but nobody could ever really resist his charm, his wide, blue, sincere eyes, and his words that pierced your heart just enough to get past your defenses and that was exactly why Erik didn't trust him but he guessed even he wasn't immune to the Charles Xavier.
Erik believed that trusting Charles meant they had the same intention, and they did, at some point. Erik wanted Charles to be by his side when he took over for mutants, in his mind, Charles would rule with him...no- his intention wasn't necessarily to rule but...to free the mutants....guess it was more like living...Erik just wanted to live a normal, peaceful life in which mutants could be safe and happy like non-mutantz, and Erik wanted to live that life with Charles, he didn't really have a reason it was just that he wanted to and he never really thought much of it...he wanted the first person to understand what he felt, to be with him...supporting him in what he wanted to do, at least he thought so.
If he was speaking honestly, he never would have guessed that wanting Charles by his side was more than just longing for friendship but longing for something else.
