Malibu
Well….now they were in California.
The avengers had been to the house before, when he and Bruce had gone to Don and Cooper’s wedding.
Honestly, he should have brought Steve to the wedding and introduced him, but Steve was being a twerp about the hulk being in the wedding party.
Nothing had changed at the house, so there was nothing to distract anyone.
Ugh.
Tony had not anticipated that they’d be…this…twitchy? Squirrelly?
Not in a bad way, this was just happy anticipation.
But….
Ugh.
Right.
His furniture wasn’t going to survive this if he didn’t do something about it.
“Steve!”
Ooh…yeah…his furniture might not survive this even if he did something about it.
That chair no longer qualified as a chair.
Wow, Steve looked embarrassed.
“Right…we will reinforce furniture later, c’mon Steve, we’re going for a drive.”
He grabbed the box with the shirts and hats for Isaac and Brianna in it. The lab coats would stay here. Steve followed, repeatedly looking over his shoulder at the former chair like a repentant golden retriever.
Bruce and Clint set to work reassembling the chair and seeing what could be done to reinforce it before they returned.
Natasha was smirking at him like she knew what he was up to….which of course she did.
Tony picked one of the convertibles and gestured Steve into the passenger seat, tossing him a pair of sunglasses.
“Alright, let’s go drop the shirts off with Cooper, so the kids have them and can chose which ones they want to wear for which days of camp.”
Steve lit up and then tried to hide it.
Tony smirked. Gotcha.
Now of course birdbrain would do his own version of Natasha’s clandestine visit, Tony was sure of it, but it was better for Steve to have a little one on one time with the extended family before all the festivities and camp.
Give him a little time to settle.
For the sake of Tony’s furniture.
